One new, two used. He repeats himself a lot. The used car type sales pitch. "We will train you on how to use it" when we asked questions about each trailer. That isn't the point dude We want to understand the different features of each unit. We only need to hear that they will train us on how to use it once Tony must have said that 15 times. It was annoying. He said it so many times, I finally had to tell him. We know you will train us, but we want to understand the features of each trailer. We had to figure out the differences ourselves. He couldn't seem to switch from the company sales pitch to explaining features of each. We are going to shop around and maybe we will come back. What would be great is having a "build sheet" that lists what is great about each trailer. Features such as: any warranty, weight, size of hot water tank, there has to be differences. What are done of them?

I told them I would take it to my mechanic to look over the additional items they found and bring it back for the lift install. Charged me a $165 diagnostic fee that they told me would be applied to the job when I brought it back. After ordering the parts from them I wanted to review what I owed for the job before the installation started. They then told me the $165 diagnostic fee would NOT apply to the job. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? They want another $1150 for an alignment and to swap out control arms and front/rear shocks. INSANE!!!!! If you add the $165 diagnostic fee back in that is $1350. Oh yeah, don't forget the additional $100 shop charge. So now we are up to $1450. As my late father would say, "They are crooks." To date I'm out $1749.77 (includes part cost, $165 diagnostic fee, 3% credit card fee, and tax) for a Rough Country lift and a set of Icon control arms. I could have purchased the parts online for $1246.33 with tax and shipping included. Cancelled my installation with them. They are not getting a penny more from me. In hindsight, I should have tried to cancel the parts order too. Took my parts and will install myself or go to another shop. When I went to pick up my parts they wanted to charge me $185 tax. 10% tax on my parts is $140.00. They had some added bogus shop fee in with the tax. They ended up correcting it after I pointed it out. Shop around as their labor rate is $150/hr and there are shops in Birmingham with much less labor rates. Also took them 2 weeks to get parts that were in stock everywhere online. They also tried to give me some parts that had been on the shelf for a very long time and where opened. Box was covered in caked on dust and the label was very faded. Rough Country sticker in the box was yellow and faded. These parts were clearly old stock. They denied it. They ended up ordering all new parts, so they deserve a cookie for that. I was warned that they are very expensive but did not shop around. Don't make the same mistake I made. If you get work done at this shop you are getting taken to the cleaners on labor. I would also be concerned if they are using old stock parts as well. I realize running a business is expensive these days and labor rates are up but when you tell a customer that the diagnostic fee will be deducted from the cost of the job and you back track it will piss people off. They are already charging a premium and then pull a stunt like that. I'm fed up with stuff like this. I will take my business elsewhere.

Since that time I have found that 3 of the connectors for the center console were broken, and the lighter no longer works. There is a cut in the leather shift knob that was also done by your repair person. All of these faults are related to the short-throw shifter replacement. The car continued to leak oil and I brought it back to your shop. This was supposedly repaired a second time but it has continued to leak oil for the last two years. I have recently brought the car to Hendrick to repair the oil leak. They first replaced the oil pan gasket, which had an external sealant pasted over the gasket area. Subsequently they replaced the crankshaft seal. You can see from your bill that your shop worked on both of these items. I have paid $3500 to repair your faulty work on the engine, and many small pieces were broken when the shifter was replaced. This shop does careless and slipshod work.

Despite knowing their $1100 quote was $300 higher than the competitor I just want to get it done so I'll agree to go ahead and have the work done to save myself some hassle and back and forth.....that +$1100 changed to +$1600 9 days later....almost every interaction, update on progress was initiated by me... unacceptable What happened...I was traveling to Birmingham and had been on the road for 2 hrs 11 min when I noticed the temperature gauge increasing...never went to hot, just went up to about 3/4 the way ...soI pulled over parked, towed it to a business for a diagnostic...didnt go with that location because I thought that that was too much work that was being recommended considering I drove over 2 hrs before noticing the gauge escalate a smidge. Fast forward, JONES OFF ROAD was recommended by another business owner that advised he service all of his work trucks there. Prior to that recommendation, I had a diagnostic at another local shop that quoted $831. I personally thought there was no way to drive 2 hours with a bad radiator, leaking water pump so I opted to go with Jones Off Road. HUGE MISTAKE: Everytime there was communication told me that once my truck arrived they'd be able to get it back next day... Fast forward 9 days later when I go to pick up my vehicle there was an exchange of words as I confronted the human, Nikki, about the fact that they had switched up pricing..... on top of that I called out that the itemized bill that she refused to give me prior to my arriving clearly showed that they had doubled up on the retail price for both the water pump and the radiator.... Of course she didn't like that and disputed that fact until I told her that I already had parts prices prior to allowing them to move forward.. based on their recommended parts and repairs by phone,Is hung up and called as I awaited a call back from her husband who would soon answer my questions about why he recommended what he did ... My truck, prior to being dropped off to them had a fresh paint job so of course I proceed to go out turn on the truck to let it run to make sure it does not overheat, also to make sure that there are no visible leaks, and do a full walk around to make sure there's no damage to the exterior paint job which was fresh,,,painted prior to issues.... Since the truck was on and I was inspecting things before getting back on the road I, of course make sure my lights are still bright make sure my signals and my brake light work which is something I do with every vehicle Everytime if I'm traveling out of town... low and behold, my turn signals nor brake lights work.....
