    The Trolley Express

Dinner menu looked good, but the kitchen was long closed when we arrived after the Tigers game (11:30). Came here for breakfast and there was only one person working the tables( serving/ cleaning, etc.). Subsequently, our breakfast took a lot longer than we had hoped for. My husband ordered the sourdough French toast which had fresh fruit and was delicious ($15). I ordered the Trolley Express: 2 eggs with home fries (yum), my choice of turkey sausage and delicious sourdough toast )$25). No regular milk was available and I didn't want soy, almond and whatever the third one was, so I got green tea. It was fabulous, a blend of jasmine and green tea leaves. We ordered it online after, can't wait. Several prints ( blown up postcards) of the trolleys of Detroit; very cool and hence the name. Our stay included 2 complimentary breakfasts ($15 pp) and two drinks; not sure if this is standard. Hoping whomever most likely called out comes in to help this overworked employee.

Quintessentially Detroit restaurant connected to Hotel Indigo with awesome salads and iced tea - incredible interior atmosphere with awesome Detroit photographs on the walls and a very nicely designed Detroit aesthetic in their menus. Very excellent service as well. Highly recommended, especially for lunch!

I want to start by saying how amazing this joint is! It is one of the real deal Detroit feels for a bar. I came here for an event and loved it. They have non-alcoholic beer and that is perfect for me as I do not drink. My sister had a drink and it looked great! The space was nice and perfect spot to go and have a drink. The service was amazing and the staff were helpful with placing drink orders. I definitely would come hang out here if in the DTD area.

I visited this spot inside the Indigo hotel with a group of Yelpers for a Halloween event. The Trolley Room was a good size, featuring a space for a DJ, and the staff were very pleasant. A special shout-out to the bartenders--they crafted generous drinks. While the decor could use some improvement and the small hors d'oeuvres were just average, the space could be made cozier. However, the location is fantastic, so if you're in the neighborhood, it's definitely worth a visit! 4 out of 5.

    Cool menu!

Located in the indigo hotel. Went there for opening day. The menu reflected the day. The food was tasty, but I didn't care for the nachos. Service was decent for how crowded they were. I had to wait quite a bit to get a drink, but the place is fun and had a lively atmosphere.

Jenise and Jazmin were wonderful. Great bartenders and servers! Chicken sandwich was amazing, and fries were perfect. Local bar vibe in a hotel, which feels like a unicorn.

I liked the space, I would definitely recommend if you're staying at the hotel. There was plenty of seating and it was comfortable. The bartenders were great and the drinks were strong and then menu was good. It seemed like most of the cocktails were rum or bourbon based which isn't my preference, but the rose cocktail was good.

Quick service out of the kitchen and the bar. The chicken sandwich is legitimately the best I have had. It topped the salmon.

I thought the saloon-type entry doors were a fun touch. I liked the atmosphere, too. The menu is wide-ranging, from breakfast any time to burgers, salads and sandwiches. I don't drink alcohol often, but I noticed they had a good selection of hard cider. I decided to get the one that was on the top of the menu -- something with pineapple. It was sweet but very good. My sister had the Honest John's hard cider that was on draft. It wasn't as sweet, but it was good as well. I had the grilled johnny john sandwich -- chicken, swiss cheese, tomatoes, lettuce on grilled pita. It was very filling; I only ate half! My sister had the chicken Caesar wrap, with the same result. We ordered some plain fries to share. Those weren't anything special. All in all, I liked the restaurant and would go back.

I would skip all of the breakfast/brunch items, and the burger is standard. They are typically out of at least one or two menu items on a given day. The serve can be spotty but it's usually friendly. The prices are reasonable, and the best thing about this place, it's one of the few places open late with ample street parking at night.

I swear the odor is so powerful every breath fills your nose with mold. Everything in here doesn't look like it's been maintained cleaned or dusted in 30 years. There's piles of random items above the drink counter that look like it harbors dust from the 80s. Particles going right in the drink. On top of that they charged $10 at the door. And clearly it's a friends benefit kinda place because in the 45mins we were there we were LITERALLY THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO PAID A DOOR CHARGE!! Now we are sitting at the bar no drink menu no nothing. I order a simple 2 green tea shots and the waitress is like staring at me. And I'm repeating my order and she started making clicking noises with her mouth bopping her head like she tweaking. I ask her how much it will be and completely ignores me. She's definitely giving under the influence vibes. I'm like shouldn't be more than 20 dollars. NO I was charged 25 dollars for 2 green tea shots in a plastic shot cup. 45 mins and we were down 45 dollars place was gross af and the green tea shot tasted like straight sour mix.. The lady never even came back to the end of the bar to ask if we wanted something other than a green tea shot. Just spaced out talking to other bartender. We cut our losses and ran straight for the door Place needs Bar Rescue or a wrecking ball.
