Eatori is a really chic and tasty restaurant. It's located downtown and great for indoor or outdoor seating. The service was quick and helpful. They guided us through the menu. The food was also great. We started with the steak nachos. The nachos were naan instead of actual nachos and it really worked. I got the chicken over pasta (I forget the actual name). I enjoyed the tangy , Mediterranean flavors. My wife got the chicken sandwich with truffle fries. I thought the truffle fries had an acquired, almost mushy taste. I probably would go with regular fries. I would definitely visit if I find myself in Detroit again. read more

A friend recommend this place to me, so I was eager to try it. I loved the ambience and the interior decor; very modern and chic. It appears they have an outdoor dining area as well, which would be really nice when the weather is warmer. It's also attached to a cute, cozy market, which had many great products. We also grabbed a bottle of wine. (Which was very good) We sat at the bar and enjoyed the happy hour specials until 6pm. There wasn't a happy hour menu but it was like 20% off cocktails and wine and, I could not remember the appetizers that were a part of the happy hour special. The standout was the cocktails and the wine. I truly enjoy them. The food was okay, I had the steak bites. My friend enjoyed the the flatbread with fried chicken added. They said it was very good and the fried chicken was flavorful. Our waitress was very nice and friendly. She was helpful when I mentioned my food allergy. Decided to try something new while walking around downtown and stopped here. I chose to sit outside on the patio, which was a nice spot to enjoy the meal and the downtown atmosphere. My waitress was very nice and offered suggestions from the menu. Had the Saffron Á La Limone. It was very flavorful and delicious, with a great balance of flavors. Second time going to Eatori. First time was Easter brunch. Food and drinks were great then too. This time we went on a Saturday evening for dinner. The weather was beautiful so we sat outside. This is a great spot and their drinks are always really good. I had the Nightlife Margarita, my daughter had the Jalisco Royale, and my wife had a Sunny Daze Spritz. They were all really good. Located in Capitol Park, they have a grocery market and a restaurant next door to each other. I really enjoyed my visits to both. I love the market! Specialty items and a nice variety of products. I enjoy doing some grocery shopping here. Friendly and helpful staff. I just had brunch at the restaurant and that was lovely as well. Excellent service from Maya. The labneh was a tasty appetizer and came with fresh cucumbers, olives, and tomatoes. I had the shakshuka and that was very hearty. The crostinis with it were nice. The staff were very pleasant and the host accommodated our seating even as our group grew larger than our reservation. Our server did a really good job of managing 13 people. There was some kind of problem in the kitchen: food took a long time to come out and the appetizers didn't show up until the entrees came out. Food was "meh". Went in for lunch on March 24, 2026. We work downtown and walked over so we were limited on time. There was one other party in the entire restaurant. We ordered at 12:05 and finally at 12:40 I asked where our food was. The manager or whoever the person was went back into the kitchen and didn't come out for 20 minutes. The waitress then proceeded to come out and had food for another table. We finally received our food at 12:55 in carry out containers because she knew we could not stay there to eat. They paid for our lunch but we were baffled as to what was going on. If restaurants can't handle a lunch crowd in Detroit, they should not be open. Lunch is something that business people should be able to get in and out in 45 minutes if necessary. The food was good, but the service was terrible. Music was also extremely loud for the lunch hour. It's a restaurant! It's a bar! It's a small grocery store! It's also closed between 4 and 5 p.m., and the hours on Yelp don't reflect that fact. At least, the restaurant part is closed, but you can still get a drink at the bar. You just can't get food from the restaurant. The grocery store is also open during this time. Because I visited Eatori during that time when the restaurant part is closed, I wasn't able to get anything to eat. But I did stay for a bit and get a glass of red wine. It was was a fine glass of wine! It was nice to sip on it and listen to the conversations that the servers were having with each other. I also used this time to search for a restaurant at which to eat, and one of the kind servers offered a couple of recommendations. There are lots of restaurants around this part of Detroit. Eatori Market has the word "market" in its name, which gives you a clue that there is a grocery store housed here. The grocery store is located in the back. There are lots of fancy things (jars of Calabrian chili orange jam, imported salami, expensive sparkling water), but also not-fancy things like Hershey's syrup and Rao's pasta sauce. There's also a prepared food counter, which had things like stuffed shells, quesadillas, grilled chicken breasts, mini cheeseburger sliders, and broccoli salad. I believe these things are all cold, but I'm thinking they will probably warm up the things that need to be warm. They also had quite a few local and non-local beers in their refrigerated case. read more

Fresh off the plane to Detroit I was starving and needed something within walking distance from my hotel. If you're looking for something in the day-time hours: Be mindful that the hours posted aren't reflective of when you can order food from the menu.
