Absolutely love this place and did an amazing job on the cutting board/cheese board that I purchased for a friend's engagement party. They are so fast and a really really good price. Have worked with Kay and Rick multiple times and they are always a pleasure to do business with. My work orders with them occasionally and their process always makes it easy to come back to. I had a recent rush order and they were able to accommodate with no extra expedited fees which is truly fantastic. Rick responds very fast to emails and provides as many proofs as you need before production. This is top tier service since many eyes look at it before I usually get the "ok" to order. I ordered four award plaques from the Trophy Center. I provided a proof of what I would like each plaque to say and received a mock-up of the plaque engravings from the Trophy Center that reflected a repeated grammatical error. I immediately replied to the Trophy Center and requested they fix this typo before engraving the trophies. They did not respond. When I went to pick up the trophies they refused to fix the grammatical error and swiped my credit card before I had a chance to further discuss options. The gentleman who swiped my card argued that I was wrong about the grammatical error (I was not). They charged me nearly $500 for incorrect plaques and refused to fix their error or give me a refund. Very poor customer service. I ended up going to Wilson Trophy Company and paying extra for a rush order! Highly recommend Wilson Trophy Company for all of your award needs. I've done business with The Trophy Center three times now (for an ongoing annual series of trophies), and every time they have been fantastic. The first time, I needed the order with a quick turnaround and they did an amazing job getting it taken care of. The second time I wasn't in a rush but they still got the job done very quickly. The third time they were suffering from supply issues (like the rest of the world). But rather than passing that delay on to me, they swapped the trophy style I ordered for a similar but larger one they already had in stock at no additional cost, just so they could fulfill my order on time. My friends and I were having a burger cookoff and we needed a super gaudy trophy for the winner. Someone gave me the link to the Trophy Center's website and from there I emailed them and asked them if they had any trophies with a burger on top :) They replied within 24 hours letting me know that although they didn't have any burger trophies, they did have one with a BBQ grill on top. They even included a photo of the grill trophy top. I figured this would be perfect, since most of the burgers would be cooked on the grill. I emailed them back and asked how it would look on an actual trophy stand and they emailed back within a few hours with a picture of the BBQ grill on a stand and gave me a few more options and ideas. Fast service through email is always worth an extra star for me. I went into the store about a week before the big day to place the order and look at the trophies first hand. Although their actual shop is a bit small, they had a very large selection, and the staff was very knowledgeable. I had lots of questions and they took the time to answer them all and explain the process to me (the trophy had the winners name engraved on it, which we wouldn't have until *after* the event, so I wasn't sure how that would work). I think the thing I liked the most about the whole transaction was the friendly banter between the employees that they included me in on. It made me feel like I was ordering from friends instead of just nice strangers. I'd definitely order from The Trophy Center again...the trophy turned out sufficiently gaudy and the winner was proud to take it home! read more

The plaque I ordered was beautiful, but the experience was terrible. I came in here on a Thursday afternoon, ordered a plaque was told they'd send a proof and that it typically was only 24 hours from approval that it'd be complete. Rick sent the proof that afternoon, I responded within the hour saying it looked great, and to please let me know when it was ready for pickup. I never heard back, so I reached out the following Tuesday, and was informed that it had been ready... My husband went in to pick it up. When I was reviewing the invoice and credit card later for expense report purposes, I found that they had over charged us $3. I assume it was a mistake based on the total charged being $117.74 when the invoice said $114.74, simply a mis-key. I called the store, and have never been treated like such an inconvenience. The woman that answered sighed heavily into the phone after I explained that I simply need them to void the $117.74, and charge me $114.74. She then had a myriad of "solutions" such as sending me an updated invoice that says $117.74 to match the Visa receipt so I could put my expense report through. Sorry, fraud isn't really my thing. I again asked her for a solution, and she said that we would have to come in to have this corrected. Ridiculous. My husband went in the next day, and Rick rudely informed him that he would not reverse the $117.74 and charge us the correct amount. Unbelievable. This was not our mistake. We were polite and went out of our way to get this fixed, and they were completely rude and unaccommodating. After what was apparently an uncomfortable standoff, my husband managed to get what he came for. I would never recommend this establishment. Their lack of regard for their customers is appalling. STEER CLEAR!!! The Trophy Center destroyed a music box gift for my wife one day before our wedding!! A few years ago, I brought in a Nightmare Before Christmas music box to have it engraved as a gift for my wife on our wedding. I chose The Trophy Center because they said they could do the job quickly and they were near where I worked. The husband and wife owners said they couldn't engrave on the music box but could engrave a small metal piece that could be stuck to the inside. While there, I chose two crystal mugs and a nice wooden box as engraved gifts for my best man and groomsman. I came back to pick up my order the day before my wedding. After making an intentionally-audible, snide comment in the next room to her husband about how my engraving for my best man was raunchy, the owner brought me the gifts I purchased but couldn't find the engraved metal piece for the music box. While they were looking, their young daughter who was running freely around the shop came up to me and cryptically said, "Her head came off!" I was trying to make sense of her comment when I realized that the music box had a small, rotating figure of Sally inside of it. I felt the blood rush from my head and literally backed up against a wall to keep myself from falling over. I suddenly knew their daughter had been playing with the music box and broke it. I asked them to produce the music box and I was right. The owners began frantically looking for the missing, broken-off pieces of the box but their daughter had hidden them. After a lot of searching, they found two of the broken pieces and offered to glue them back on. But the damage would have been very noticeable and the box would no longer have been gift-worthy, especially for a bride on her wedding day. The wife then offered to buy a new one but with only one day until my wedding and with the music box being a Disney Store exclusive, I knew there was only one place to buy it and Disney's fastest shipping was 2-days! They also offered other items as an alternative gift, but this was a specifically chosen item that I knew she would love and trophy-store knickknacks wouldn't be the same. I finally decided to take the engraved gifts for my best man and groomsman and see if I could find an alternative elsewhere. I had the owners re-engrave the small metal piece (the first one the eventually found was off-center) and took it with me. I ended up calling the Disney Store and begging them to send it overnight to the wedding venue, which they did. God Bless Disney!! The replacement music box arrived in time and I inserted the engraving. When my wife opened it after our reception, she made an audible gasp! It was truly a magical, irreplaceable moment I will never forget but it almost never happened because of The Trophy Center. I try to patronize family-owned businesses but the rudeness and irresponsibility of the owners at The Trophy Center have kept me from ever going back. read more
