Everything was advised before enrolling him into the school. So that there wouldn't be any surprises. When we showed up she literally told us to go to our school district and seek help there and didn't give us any alternatives or any plans from her part to help him. We felt neglected from her part, she signed up to be a school educator and didn't go along with that purpose to TEACH. After having a second meeting we ended up giving it another try, things just weren't going good at all. I will message her to let her know when we were running late we decided to make the commitment even though we didn't live 5/10 minutes away we lived almost 30 minutes away and due to traffic we will ge there late and we take full responsibility for it. I will do my part and message the teacher to advise we were arriving late, always ignore them. I will message her when my son will miss school always ignore them. Everything from her part was ignored I am very upset because everybody else was great with us and made us feel welcomed since we were the new family. I will say this if teachers want to pick and choose who they want in their class they should do some type of assessments to see if they are up to level. Since it looks like she wanted them all to be in the same level/ structure even though he started in the middle of the year. Some kids just need a little more time and she didn't give my son that opportunity. Kudos to principal Dr.Frank and after school teacher Mrs. Garcia they were great.

Unfortunately, there wasn't space for both of my children at the same time. My children have been to two schools prior to this one: Cornerstone Preschool, which was amazing until they were horrendously not (long story); and Gateway Montessori, which was also really good in terms of what I look for in a center. However, I never stopped following up with LLEA because I knew it was my dream school for my children. Eventually they informed me that there was space, and I transferred my children so quickly and have never looked back. My children have been attending since November 2024. They are AMAZING!! The teachers. The management staff. The owner. The facility. The curriculum. The academics. The fun!!! I can go on and on. I absolutely love this school and would recommend it to any parent or individual that is looking for work in a preschool. I had some challenges with my daughter's behavior, and rather than kicking my daughter out like Cornerstone Preschool did, they worked with us! Tried developmentally appropriate skills that I recommended, that they recommended, and that the owner (who is knowledgeable in child development) recommended. When all else failed, they held an SST with us and referred us to a third party that could provide in-house assistance (like a one-on-one with my daughter). They even allowed me in the facility to observe my daughter through the one-way mirror, and I was able to implement some changes with her based on what I observed. My daughter is doing SO well now. She's in their TK program this year and has made such great strides in her behavior. Even the teachers and owner are so impressed with her. This school genuinely cares about their students, and I can see such a difference between when a school genuinely cares about the successes and well-being of all students rather than just the well -behaved ones. I LOVE this school. They're an absolute God-send.

They have room to support their students and have individual play yards for the students and a POOL where they have the oppotunity to swim onsite during the summer (yes, they have a life guard & provide swim lessons too!). Meeting with my students was so fun and I was glad I could make a difference in their lives. Both Irma and Roxanne helped me out a lot and strive to make a difference in the Whittier community. Irma was so kind and always helped me in any way possible, even outside of the workplace. I highly recommend this facility to anyone who is an ESL student or did not get the full training in literacy. I also recommend this place to any kids that are behind in school. If I ever go back to Whittier I would love to visit WALC. This place helped me greatly appreciate children.
