I would trust his advice in this area (ie, classes etc.). He was very active in helping my son with his PIQs and common app. James helped him pick topics that James felt could reveal the most about my son and helped him brain storm ideas. My son was a bit stubborn and didn't follow his advice on some points which made writing a bit hard I think. James also showed him how to research and answer the why us essays. My son is usually a fast thinker and worker but writing about himself was a real struggle. We started with James late and wished we had found him sooner so that he wasn't trying to get through individual applications while studying for school. James helped my son get early action at USC, early admissions at Berkeley, and all the UCs with medical schools that he applied to. His UPenn admissions officer wrote a response about his essay that made him felt heard and understood. James doesn't make you feel like you have to do anything that isn't authentic to you to be "competitive"; he doesn't make you a cookie cutter applicant. His advice takes into account the individual. I enrolled my son at this daycare when he was only 5-6 months old and not even crawling yet. By his…read morethird day there, he came home with two bruises on his face. I initially brushed it off, but over time he continued coming home with scratches, bruises, and marks on his body on a regular basis. Each time I asked about them, staff were unable to explain how they happened. As a parent, that was extremely concerning. I repeatedly brought my concerns to the staff and administration, but I often felt dismissed. I also asked Jennifer if I could review the camera footage, but I was told recordings were only kept for 24 hours and had already been deleted. Another concern was the lack of communication. When picking up my son, staff rarely provided updates about his day and often seemed rushed or unwilling to discuss concerns. Instead of feeling welcomed and reassured, I frequently felt uncomfortable and unheard. My experience left me feeling that my concerns were not taken seriously and that staff were more focused on defending one another than addressing legitimate questions about my child's safety. Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend this daycare for infants or children who are not yet able to communicate what happens during the day.

Amazing place! That is how I need to start off. I have been to both facilities. One in Whittier and the other in La Habra. Manuel is in Whittier and you are greeted by him. Instantly, you sense the care and passion he has for the children. The interest in yours! The tutors are the same and this encourages my daughter! Most importantly she looks forward to her weekly visit. Brian in La Habra is the same. Her grades and confidence have grown greatly. You can't put a price on that!!!! The tutors email the teachers so they can work hand in hand to help your child. I couldn't help my daughter with her homework....but I can take her to TutorZone. Her grades are improving and most importantly she is learning life long skills to help her study, take tests and confidence! I am a fan!!!!! read more

Unfortunately, there wasn't space for both of my children at the same time. My children have been to two schools prior to this one: Cornerstone Preschool, which was amazing until they were horrendously not (long story); and Gateway Montessori, which was also really good in terms of what I look for in a center. However, I never stopped following up with LLEA because I knew it was my dream school for my children. Eventually they informed me that there was space, and I transferred my children so quickly and have never looked back. My children have been attending since November 2024. They are AMAZING!! The teachers. The management staff. The owner. The facility. The curriculum. The academics. The fun!!! I can go on and on. I absolutely love this school and would recommend it to any parent or individual that is looking for work in a preschool. I had some challenges with my daughter's behavior, and rather than kicking my daughter out like Cornerstone Preschool did, they worked with us! Tried developmentally appropriate skills that I recommended, that they recommended, and that the owner (who is knowledgeable in child development) recommended. When all else failed, they held an SST with us and referred us to a third party that could provide in-house assistance (like a one-on-one with my daughter). They even allowed me in the facility to observe my daughter through the one-way mirror, and I was able to implement some changes with her based on what I observed. My daughter is doing SO well now. She's in their TK program this year and has made such great strides in her behavior. Even the teachers and owner are so impressed with her. This school genuinely cares about their students, and I can see such a difference between when a school genuinely cares about the successes and well-being of all students rather than just the well -behaved ones. I LOVE this school. They're an absolute God-send.
