My two daughters have been properly cared for & definitely have a special relationship with each teacher and staff member. Special shoutout to Ms. Cassy & Ms. Karen! I toured many facilities, but I was especially impressed when I toured CS because you could tell that they were very well organized and professional, hitting every point without me having to ask many questions. Top three aspects that makes me recommend Cornerstone, is the curriculum structure, the cleanliness and the safety. My kids have both been sick maybe once or twice which is amazing compared to their old school(s). The property is always secured/locked & communication between staff and parent is amazing! Thank you cornerstone for giving my daughter's the best experience.

It's clear that they truly love what they do and care deeply about each child's growth and well-being. The teachers create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where our kids feel comfortable, confident, and excited to learn. We've seen so much growth in both of our kids--socially, emotionally, and academically--and it's been amazing to watch them develop new skills and independence. Communication with parents is excellent, and we always feel informed and reassured knowing our children are in a safe, secure environment. We are so grateful for the positive foundation they are helping build for our kids. We highly recommend Cornerstone Preschool to any family looking for a loving, supportive, and high-quality preschool experience. I definitely feel I chose the BEST preschool for my kids and I feel at peace knowing they're happy.

Both my kiddos are now in the school district and their preparation and knowledge before starting with the district was thanks to Ms. Maral's curriculum. In this scary world, it comforted my heart to know my children were in a safe place with people who cared and supported them. When making the decision to take our son there, my husband and I visited about five or more daycares. Although we were not first-time parents, it would be our first time leaving our third child in a daycare. The minute we walked into Ms. Maral's Academy, it felt right. It was very inviting and organized. She answered all our questions and put us at ease. Bright Steps Academy has been so instrumental for my son's development and learning. He comes home singing the alphabet, the days of the week, the numbers in English and Spanish and tells stories about his daily learning. From the home-made food, healthy snacks, daily kids activities, the librarian coming in to read stories, to potty training and naps and so many more to name a few. Parents are kept informed through an app and one can see pictures of the activities happening on certain days. Ms. Maral, we are forever grateful that we found Bright Steps Academy. You have become part of our family and the hard work that you put into the Academy does not go unnoticed. We wish you continued success and may God bless you, your family and Bright Steps Academy

I loved both their daycare program and preschool. My daughter attended for 3 years. She's currently excelling in kindergarten, thanks to her preschool education. The Pre-K program she attended with Mrs. Carmen really set her up for success, not just academically but socially as well. Mrs. Carmen was the perfect balance of fun while still teaching her to get along with others and follow rules. The small class sizes and attention to each individual student gave her a strong foundation for elementary school. She learned her colors, shapes, numbers and to read and write the alphabet. She attended year round. During the summer they offer many activities that are all held on site. She had so much fun over the summer. My one year old son currently attends daycare at Lad n Lassie. He's attended since he was 2 months old. Going to work and leaving a baby at day care can bring up such anxiety as a mom. The caretakers in the infant room are so caring and communicative. I know he is in great hands with Ms. Rosie and Ms. Cynthia. They let me know daily about his eating, sleeping and diapers via a chart they give back daily documenting his day. All of the teachers and caretakers use the app classdojo to commuicate, so I can always reach the people caring for my kids. He comes home with the cutest crafts of his hand and footprints. This school has really great programs for infants up to pre-k and I am really happy with the care and education my children received here.

As a parent of two sons who attended Broadoaks Children's School at Whittier College -- one from…read morepreschool through 8th grade and the other from preschool through 6th grade -- I can confidently say that Broadoaks provided one of the most exceptional educational experiences our family could have hoped for. The academics were rigorous, but what made Broadoaks truly special was the way the teachers and staff inspired children to rise to those expectations with confidence and curiosity. The students were not simply sitting at desks memorizing facts. They were encouraged to move, collaborate, play, reflect, ask questions, think critically, and problem solve. Learning was active, meaningful, and individualized. I honestly did not fully appreciate just how extraordinary Broadoaks was until my sons transitioned to public high school. It quickly became clear that the skills they developed at Broadoaks far surpassed those of many of their peers. They entered high school with strong time management skills, confidence, excellent communication abilities, critical thinking skills, and the ability to independently meet and exceed classroom objectives and expectations. Broadoaks prepared them not only academically, but as capable, thoughtful, and self-directed young people. Like many small independent schools, Broadoaks was impacted by COVID and continues to work toward rebuilding enrollment and community support. Unlike public schools, they do not have the same funding resources, which makes community support even more important. If you are looking for a school that truly values individualized education, nurtures intellectual curiosity, and develops confident, capable learners, Broadoaks is the place. In my opinion, Broadoaks represents the standard all schools should strive for.

When concerns are raised, communication is handled in a dismissive manner rather than through collaboration or dialogue. Parent input is acknowledged superficially, key points are bypassed, and agreements made at the classroom level are not upheld at the executive level. After receiving an assessment that did not accurately reflect our child's abilities (completed less than two months into enrollment), we raised concerns about the lack of context, narrative, and communication. The teachers acknowledged the assessment was not an accurate reflection of her capabilities and agreed it should be updated to reflect her short acclimation period and current capabilities. However, when this was escalated to the Executive Director, those agreements were disregarded. Rather than updating the assessment as discussed, leadership insisted on singling out a child instead of correcting an administrative misstep. Requests to simply revise the original assessment with accurate context were dismissed. When we expressed concern about the long-term academic implications of having an inaccurate student record, we were dismissed. The Executive Director superficially acknowledged our concerns, and reasonable requests were met with inflexibility rather than problem-solving. A school's culture is shaped from the top. If families are leaving, leadership may want to reflect on how parent advocacy is received and addressed.
