Please have management contact me regarding my recent visit to your restaurant. We were visiting from out of town and tried to make reservations which they couldn't accommodate so instead we put our names on the wait list in person. First of all we waited 1.5 to be seated. Second, we ordered 2 sweet tea's to drink and was told they had 'run out' and would make more but never brought the second one out. After placing our food order- we waited 1 whole hour for it to be delivered!!!!!! When they finally started to bring out the food, the manager told us one of the wing orders they couldn't make because they ran out of that flavor. Now mind you the manager only came and notified us of the wing issue AFTER awaiting an hour to get our order to us. At that point we kindly said no thank you to an alternate flavor and my spouse ended up with no food. Furthermore, and order of chicken wings was brought to the table that we hadn't ordered and after we let the server know she attempted to get it off the table, I stopped her as said "well since you've already placed it on the table shouldn't you just leave it fo health reasons"? She did leave it and to add insult to all of the injury- those same wings still ended up on our final bill, despite the manager making zero attempt to rectify any of our issues they not only made no adjustments or offered any reasonable apologies but also left the wings no ordered on our bill? This experience was terrible for seafood that was average at best. I asked for the GMs contact info since the store manager was helpless. read more

Food not warm. It's more of a bar than resturant. All fried food, and that is ok, but pretty poor service and food.

It was delicious, hot, and plentiful. I had the shrimp basket with Cajun fries (seasoning on the side which I also put on my shrimp). Husband had the fried oysters and coleslaw. The coleslaw was creamy and sweet like KFC. The hushpuppies would have been better if served with butter I think. They came out steaming hot too. It was clean and the staff was friendly. The snow crab was over cooked. The service was horrible they did not bring anything to crack open the crab. The corn was soaking since noon. We arrived late from Norfolk airport and first of all they had the full menu and also happy hour runs weeknights until 830 pm! This is a return to hometown and Twisted had soft shells . Me and a group of friends was at this establishment on 07/14/2023. The drinks were horrible. It took the waiter over 20 minutes to bring us our drinks. Once we were settled in with our drinks. We all ordered a seafood boil. The twisted sauce was nasty... the potatoes were very crunchy... the corn was really hard and disgusting. We asked our waiter if we could speak with the manager. I informed the manager about the food and the drinks. The manager did not apologize. He had a I don't care attitude pertaining to our concerns. Afterwards we saw him drinking a bottle of alcohol on the job. Afterwards we asked for our checks... which I paid for my food at the front. The cashier then informed me that the person that was cooking the seafood boils really didn't know how to cook one because the usual cook wasn't there that evening and that's why our food came out tasting disgusting. I then asked her if she knew corporate number. She stated that she didn't know their number. The group of people that I was with, we usually eat at the Newport News location at Patrick Henry Mall and we have never had a horrible experience like we had at the Hampton location. YES! This place is magic. So so delicious. I got the crab and shrimp boil with full seasoning and OH MY GOD. The seasoning butter was amazing and poured perfectly over everything. The crab legs were so soft and yummy and the shrimp was perfectly cooked. I was so happy and stuffed, man it hit the spot. I loved the free popcorn to start. The waiter was super nice and attentive. I really want to give it 5. But something's holding me back. Food was delicious. Husband and I both had crab legs and mussels. The sauce was delicious and spicy (the way I ordered it). It was soo good after I ate my meal, I brought it home with me so I could my husband's leftovers with it! Very nice sized portions. I really enjoyed it. There were a couple birthdays so it instead of doing their version of the Birthday song, they turned up the speakers and played 50 Cent In Da Club. It was cute. So yummy. The sause was very flavorful. Food came out piping hot. They gave us gloves and a bib. A started with the gloves but soon took them off. I only wish they would sell thier sause. My family would this but I'm here on business so came without them. Do NOT wear anything nice or white. It will get messy but that's what makes it so good. read more

This is the perfect example of a good idea poorly executed! Food was really, really good! Service however left a LOT to be desired. It was extremely slow and once we did actually get food, every single order in our party was incorrect or missing items. Not one order was served correctly. Some waited over an hour just to have send back their entire meal back and wait almost another full hour to get their original order. Some people got their paper plates and plastic silverware while others did not. Yes I said PAPER PLATES!!! Not a single drink was refilled at the table during the entire evening. I honestly have NEVER in my life experienced such poor performance from restaurant staff. When we spoke to the owner we first complimented him on the food and then explained calmly how bad the service was. He was less than sympathetic and offered a 10% discount. I pressed him for a deeper discount and no gratuity but he refused. So needless to say we will NOT be returning to this establishment. read more

My entire group absolutely loved this place! We got to the restaurant a bit later in the evening, but they were still very helpful and had great recommendations! We ordered a couple T3 meals, a T1 meal, and then some of us had fried baskets. Everything was delicious and I don't think we had any leftovers at all. Delicious; yet I think it would have been even better w/ the garlic butter seasoning instead (will try it that way next time around) & cornbread. Awesome restaurant. I've eaten a lot of shrimp and crawfish in south Louisiana and Mississippi and the twisted crab is some of the best I've had. If you get the low boil make sure you put on your bib because your going to make a mess. read more

This is a pretty great spot with ample parking! I love that they have tons of booth seating and a full bar! The staff was very attentive and polite, so that was a plus, and she gave me FREE popcorn! I order the shrimp appetizer and it was enough food to be a complete meal. It came with (8) deliciously fried shrimp with the most delightful light batter, not the typical corn meal batter. The fried shrimp also came with a side! For my entree I ordered crab legs with the garlic seasoning medium, it had a nice kick to it and I was glad I didn't get the hot option. Everything was amazing, except the "butter" to dip the crab meat, it tasted like cooking oil or something aside from "butter" and it didn't have any flavor at all. Alright! This place food is pretty good. Just like the standard seafood boil places that are popping up every where. I had the garlic butter shrimp and crabs with a side of sausage. Really good. Seafood was fresh. Place is pretty nice on the inside. The only gripe I had was I didn't have a server. The hostess ended up serving us because whoever our server was was nowhere to be found. Our waitress Jeniah, I hope I spelled it right, was on point. The Resturant looked fairly clean and stylish. Sadly, we got the ghetto vibe from some of the clientele.
