In addition to a mint flavor burst ice cream cone I ordered a cheeseburger and wonton mozzarella sticks. The wonton mozzarella sticks are an incredible value given how many you get for the price. Crispy on the outside and had good cheese pull. The cheeseburger, which had a nice flaky bun, had excellent flavor and is one of the better burgers I've had in the area. It made me sad that I hadn't visited Jim's Place before. I wanted the blue goo flavor of flavor burst, but they were out of it that day, so I went for mint instead. It wasn't super strong like I had hoped, but you could taste the mint. I would probably get a different flavor next time (hopefully they have blue goo available at that point). The gentleman that took my order and made my food (who I assume was Jim?) was very kind. I originally ordered to dine in and switched to to-go as he was bringing my food out because of an urgent matter. He boxed it up for me and never once had an issue with the sudden change. Our order consisted of two 16" pizzas, one with just cheese and the other half pepperoni, half sausage. The pizzas tasted fine. Neither remarkable or unremarkable. They use a ton of cheese, which I appreciate, though as you can see in the pictures I posted, the sausage and pepperoni may have been a tad skimped on. The crust was cracker like and the outer edges of it got nice and crispy, which is a big plus for me. As you can also see in the pictures, the pizzas were sloppy. The half pepperoni, half sausage ended up having sausage on only a 1/4 of it and the pepperoni was only on the outsides. In addition, the cheese on both pizzas stuck to the crappy paper they used below the crust, leaving paper stuck to the cheese on every piece we took out of the boxes. The meat was easy to adjust by sliding it around, but the paper was annoying and not worth the hassle again.

I went with a friend, and he…read moreordered tje Lemon Pizza, and I ordered the Beef Marsala pizza, neither of which I've seen on a menu anywhere before. The lemon pizza featured lemon flavor, of course, but it was perfectly balanced with the flavors of the smoked mozzarella, basil, arugula, and EVOO! The Beef Marsala was rich, but not too rich, in flavor with very tender pieces of beef braised in a red wine reduction and accompanied by mushrooms, creme fraiche, basil, mozzarella, and a delicious Marsala demi drizzle The crust on both was perfectly crispy with a slight chew. They call it Roman style pizza, in that the dough is made fresh in-house in the same manner the traditional Roman pizza (think thick, rectangular pizza) dough is made, but as a "pie" shape, you get a light, crunchy edge and crispy thin crust. It was unlike anything I've had in the Milwaukee area. My friend and I also started with glass of Macedonian pinot noir and finished with a traditionally small pour of Vin Chaud, which is similar to mulled wine. Both were fantastic! There are some gems in Elkhart Lake, and Harry's is one of them. I highly recommend you add Harry's to your list when in or near Elkhart Lake. This is the same family that opened Harry's Prohibition Bistro and Harry's Diner in Sheboygan, which I've also enjoyed in recent years!
