Fresh, local curds with batter made fresh daily. The thinest batter I've ever experienced
    Roric G.

Had asked around for a great burger. Someone suggested here because they make the patties in house, ground fresh, daily. I was sold. This burger is a destination burger. Every bite was full of juice, flavor, goodness. A perfectly seasoned patty, grilled to a spot on medium rare. Sitting on a buttered and toasted bun that held up to the juices the entire burger. Bacon that had some pull and some crunch to it giving you a salty kick each bite. There just isn't a better burger in the area that I've had in 30+ years of looking for great burgers. The cheese curds are from a local cheese plant with a made in house daily batter that comes out to you with pull on the curds as you bite with the thinnest curd batter I've ever experienced while living in WI. I can't recommend this spot enough.

Delicious food. Place always seems to be busy. Friendly staff. Their meatloaf meal is amazing, as well as their pear pizza.

One thing you should know right off the bat - I am stingy with my "5" ratings, so the bottom line…read moreis that I am a fan of this place. I've eaten here a half dozen times or so, and never had a bad meal. The one I had last night was excellent and prompted this review. I ordered the fried perch (it was Friday in Wisconsin after all), and it was flat out one of the best I've ever had. I don't know where they get their fish, but dang the sheer size of the perch fillets was massive - like 9+" long each. Not at all the typical 3-4" pieces you get elsewhere. And they were lightly breaded, perfectly fried and seasoned. I also tasted their fried cod and their baked cod - both of which were excellent too. Beyond these, they have a great Rueben, Philly, burgers, etc. Again, I have never had a bad meal here. The location is a bit in the boonies, but easy enough to get to, and worth the 30 minute drive for me. While not a huge place, they seem to be efficient and quick. The prices are quite fair. The bar is nice, clean, and well lit. The bathrooms are clean and nice. The owners have clearly invested in the place, and it is well managed. If you are in the area, or even if you are not, I encourage you try out the place!

We had pot roast grilled cheese with a side of horseradish and au jus and a Cuban sandwich- mustard spicy and delicious. Service was fast, food hot. Casual pub dining. Recently I had my new favorite, the Maple Glazed Salmon... highly recommend! My wife's meal however was a little lacking, it was a special that day, some type of shrimp risotto that was lukewarm and a little mushy, the side salad was also a wilted, not fresh. This was a let down, because I usually enjoy my meals at the Pig.... Especially the desserts! I'm going to say this was a one off, and will be back for the Honey Glazed Salmon, and of course, the desserts!

Have extended their seating to include outdoor seating. I love eating outside, would love to see them create a divider between the outdoor seating and road, otherwise very nice. Had the Bloody Mary with chaser, slightly spicy, was very good. We started with the tempura brussel sprouts, absolutely delicious. We kept changing our minds on what to eat and we decided on the brisket grilled cheese and we were not disappointed. The Gouda cheese, brisket, and mushrooms were a great flavor. Server was amazing and very accommodating. All in all a fantastic lunch. Highly recommend.

The restaurant was clean upon arrival, and seemed to be a normal night for this restaurant even had the piano playing in the background. That's all when things started to snowball, upon being greeted at the hostess desk we were invited to help ourselves to a seat at the bar as they would be with us in a few moments. We had a reservation so this was odd but ok. They came back and just pointed us to a table from the bar. Waited a good while to finally get our drink order taken. Mine came quickly the misses had to wait for a good while for hers which was disappointing as we were already previously seated at the bar where we were pointed to help ourselves to a table. She said something about her water being off flavored and shortly after noticed a chunk of something stuck to the inside of her water cup. We decided to order an appetizer of the bacon jam toast thing as it was obvious at this point the staff was struggling to keep up with all the tables and they needed a moment to regroup before placing a whole meal order. The appetizer was great delicious and left us wanting more. We then ordered our steaks mashed potatoes and tried the lobster mac. All of that tasted great also. We were questioning each other where the lobster was in the mac and overheard the waitstaff talking to what sounded like a regular that they ran out of lobster. (They told them to enjoy a round of drinks on them someone was already running to get more). We finished with desert as it was our anniversary the peanut butter cheesecake. Upon arriving at the table it looked as though it had fingerprints on the side like someone used their fingers to place it on the plate. We ate it and again was very good rich and had a great flavor. You probably would ask yourself if we told them any of these things, they apologized for wait to be seated, apologized for the service several times stating "there's a few large groups in back" on their own. Replaced the water cup and said sorry about that. They knew they were out of lobster and tried to pull one more dish before getting more. Lastly we were done when desert came and just wanted to leave. Definitely not going back here anytime soon!
