First time visiting and definitely not my last! The place has a fun, retro 80s vibe that gives it a lot of character. It was a little chaotic when we were there, and the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed, but everyone handled it with grace and kept a positive attitude. As for the food, it was excellent. The smash burger was cooked perfectly, well seasoned, and made with high quality beef. The Atari sauce was awesome and really tied everything together. I opted for the loaded fries, which were absolutely delicious. We also ordered cheese curds as an appetizer before our burgers, and they were great as well. Wow- what a great experience. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food was fantastic. After hearing so much about the burgers--we had to give em a try. The Homie was a standout with smashed onions, Atari Sauce, and American cheese. Good grief those onions were something special. My husband loved it so much he said it was replacing Hodad's in San Diego as his favorite. I had a bacon cheeseburger and savored every bite. Simply delicious. The fries...holy man, the fries. I went to this restaurants opening night. What a great addition to downtown West Bend. This business has arcade games including pinball machines. The owner also has his own collection of comic books on the walls that he has personally collected. He encourages customers to take and read the comic books during your time at the business. Mind you some are even in plastic protectors. The atmosphere is quite nice. We were seated immediately. All the staff we encountered were very friendly. The owner even went around personally to each table. The food was very delicious and we all enjoyed our meals. The appetizer onion petals were especially tasty. The restaurant was well staffed and ran quite well for it being their first night open. I highly recommend this business and will definitely be back. read more

wow... I haven't never seen worse customer service in my life. the guy I spoke with kept talking about running a business and product as if I had received more than what I paid for. Then because of his inability to processes basic information it got taken out on the server so what a poor boss. I have never in my life left with zero tip for a server because generally, it's not their fault whatever happened in this case I did and it is completely The guy's fault had he corrected my bill reasonably I would've happily tipped the server. I ordered a plain cheese burger with cheese no bun- I didn't know how skinny the burger would be so by the time she came back to check on me it was already gone, so I ordered an additional one. the check came and I got charged for two full burgers so I mentioned to her. Can you check on getting the bill adjusted because that seems very expensive for what I received. A guy Comes back and says he'll take off 10%. I asked him what would it have been? Had it been rung up originally and he said the second burger would've been three additional dollars And I'm like well why wouldn't you just ring it up that way? I'm one person. All I wanted was a fair bill. I wasn't asking for anything for free or a discount. I didn't know the patties were gonna be so paper thin and he refused to cancel the check and re-ring it. What's even more upsetting to me as a good human being when I went there for the first time recently a girl was struggling to put up new umbrellas outside, and I offered to help. I don't know how you would treat a consumer in such a small town with such disrespect. I'm not an idiot. Don't treat me like one. And then the audacity to wish me a better day as I was leaving as if I had had a bad day. What a rude experience. Running a business like that will never lead to success. I just moved to this neighborhood and shocked that somebody would treat a that way here. A really solid addition to downtown West Bend. I am not aware of what was in this spot before but I enjoy the flow of the interior-long bar on the right as you enter with a split dining room and games in the back. Dining solo, I sat at the bar. Bartender was quick and friendly and enjoyed the selection of beers on tap. The menu is focused on appetizers, sides/salads and handhelds-where you can swap our beef for chicken (fried or grilled) or a black bean burger. I opted for the Wild Wild Wes fried chicken sandwich with a side of fries. The chicken sandwich was very good (if I am being picky, perhaps the bun was too sweet). Topped with slaw, spicy pickles, and a hot honey ranch, it was a sandwich I would travel for. The fries-incredible. Fried in beef tallow, they were prepared perfectly and the optional side of ranch (clearly homemade) was the chef's kiss. Although they have only been open a few weeks, they have it humming. Waitress was so busy she was running around pretty much solo. Took over 30 minutes to get our food, and then 3 of the 6 orders were wrong or missing something, one of the orders didn't show up till the others had already been eating.
