    Mushroom Risotto Balls

On a mini food tour in Elkhart Lake, my friend and I stopped here for dinner, and I will say that this place lived up to the hype! We were immediately greeted by a friendly hostess, and she led us through a large bar area to a second dining room next to the Open Concept kitchen. Our server was great and explained the menu to us, as well as answered our questions and helped with recommendations. The menu features mostly Mediterranean dishes, but there are a few other continental dishes that appear as specials and on the regular menu. We ordered the Mushroom Arancini and Bibimbap as our shared apps, and both dishes were perfectly executed with delicious flavor and great textures! Then we shared the Butternut Squash Ravioli and Gnocchi, and both dishes were show-stoppers! Again, both were absolutely perfectly executed and super delicious! They were both so good, we couldn't pick a favorite. The gnocchi may have been the best I've ever had, and if not, definitely top two! It was so incredibly light and fluffy. Had this been our only food stop, we would have ordered more dishes. I definitely want to go back soon! Maybe I can time it with a visit for a race.

This really is the best place to eat in Elkhart Lake, hands down. Great food with generous portions. The hake entree is delicious. Great cocktails. They talking bookings. It's a little more pricey than other spot near by but I think very much worth it!

So glad we tried this restaurant. It was excellent! The inside there is plenty of room and tables. They also had outdoor seating. However, no tent coverage. So if it rains you will get wet! I ordered the Halibut. It was delicious. It came we snow peas and mashed potatoes with a creamy white sauce. The fish was delicious. As a matter fact the whole dish was delicious! The fish was tender, perfectly cooked, with a slight crust on top. The snap peas and the mashed potatoes were well seasoned and great! My friend ordered the scallops and I tried one. Wow! Perfectly cooked, tender, and well seasoned. My other friend had the Hanger Steak, medium well which comes with fries. I tried it as well and it was cooked perfectly and well seasoned. I did not try the fries, however my friend said she would have preferred my mashed potatoes to go with the Steak. Our waitress was very nice. She was attentive and did her best to keep checking on us. She was pretty busy so I can't complain. Overall this place is excellent. If ever at Elkhart Lake and want to go out for a nice dinner, this place is it!

Pork chop special. Half eaten already, sorry!

Everything was outstanding! The pork chop special was delicious. The mushroom risotto fritters were some of the best things I've ever eaten.

Unfortunately, I didn't get a seat out on the patio because it was hella cold the day that I visited. Instead, I dined inside the warm and eclectically decorated dining room at The Social. There's a popcorn machine in one corner. Church glass and electronic slots machines in another corner. Leather couches and a bar that takes up one whole side of the room. To enter the joint, you need to walk down a flight of stairs and walk in as though you're entering a dungeon. It's kinda dark and cozy and relaxing in The Social. It's a nice vibe. They have a great lunch and dinner menu, as well as snacks and drinks at the bar. I was here one morning for a breakfast buffet, which I think is not typically served on most days, but you might want to check their menu. I also had a fabulous steak dinner one evening, with a pumpkin soup and double chocolate brownie for dessert. Every single thing I put in my mouth was divine, including the signature Old Fashioned.

We started with a flight of old fashioned cocktails. We tried vanilla bean, honeycomb, and our favorite the cinnamon appke. For dinner we both had the Friday perch fry. The perch itself was very good with a nice panko coating. The fries were good too but they could have been warmer. Our server was very attentive and friendly. They were definitely on the game. We ordered the baked potato soup. It was different than any baked potato soup we've had before, but it was still very good, just way too salty. For the entree, we got the Chicken Alfredo and the Pasta Milano with chicken. They were both good, but like others have said, not worthy of the big price tag. The Chicken Alfredo noodles were over cooked so they were on the softer side (versus al dente) and it was lacking salt. The chicken on it also had plenty of seasoning (which I typically enjoy) but it was like a sweet Mediterranean type chicken, which felt like an odd pairing for the alfredo. The Pasta Milano was very good, and the sun dried tomatoes in there were delicious. The staff and ambience were great! Our host was super kind and respectful and offered us dessert since we were celebrating our anniversary. We went on a Saturday in April, so not peak season yet, which helped with the busyness and noise level. Overall, great experience but would not go again.

Everything I ate was excellent. The appetizers were all nicely presented, too, so everything looked as delicious as it tasted. Dinner was lobster bisque with a puffed pastry on top (deliciously briny and comforting), a Caesar salad and Alaskan halibut. The fish was flaky and perfectly cooked -- it literally felt like it melted in my mouth. It was served in a tomato relish. The service here is top-notch! Water was refilled promptly, and the servers were very friendly. The dining room lighting is soft and mellow. My dinner experience was great, and I'd definitely visit Concourse again when I'm in the Elkhart Lake area.
