This venue is breathtaking! The views from every single angle are incomparable. My first time at the Skybox was in November 2018 for my besties wedding. I was a bridesmaid. She and her now husband looked at several other venues but when they found this one they were obviously sold. It wasn't just the views, the skybox has a plethora of vendors and caterers already familiar with their space. They met with caterers and florists and were able to make their selections. The tables and chairs were handled by the venue which made that easier. They chose a sunset ceremony which was absolutely beautiful! Standing there supporting my friends in their nuptials with the sights and sounds was pretty euphoric. (Note: you are very high up so it can be extremely windy and chilly. Come prepared.) The on-site event planners also part of the venue were excellent and on-point. They kept us on time and prepared for each stage of the ceremony and reception. They were there but not in the way and helpful when we needed. It was perfect! The wedding party was escorted to a green room after the ceremony to wait for the venue to be changed over for the reception and for introductions. They brought us snacks and water or other libations while we waited. Once the bride and groom were announced the food service began. They chose multiple stations of things so guests could get what they wanted. That's always my preference too as a person who likes to graze. The food and dessert (churros and a sundae bar...the couple didn't want an overpriced cake that would barely get eaten) were delicious. The entire evening was an absolute dream! Wonderful venue for special events with great views of San Diego!! Beautiful building for a wedding or party.

When I heard the annual Christmas party was being held at Ultimate Skybox- I had no idea what this place was. After checking Yelp & peeping the photos- I knew we had to RSVP! LOL Yes! It's all about that view! And thankfully rain was NOT in the forecast because nobody wants to feel they have to be indoors when there's clearly a spacious outdoor area to utilize. Down below, Petco park hosted the Holiday Market. And form our vantage point, seeing all the festive Christmas lights below & along our evening horizon was breathtaking. The patio had a10 foot (I think) fire pit with various seating areas. High stools, sofas, cushioned seats. Enough space to spread out and not feel cramped. Cocktail hour was pork beef sliders, Jamaican jerk chicken, crostini w/ balsamic drizzled veggies, white bean purée w/ bacon pieces on sliced cucumber. Attendees had to go to open bar for beverages. Staff was polite/ professional/ and great sense of humor. When it was dinner service, balsamic dressing was inside gravy boats. Salads were spinach blend with cranberries, walnuts, & feta cheese. Since guests were not informed ahead of time what the actual menu was- I told our server I didn't like feta cheese. She quickly brought a replacement salad w: the feta cheese. Soon afterwards, the manager rushed to our table & inquired if there was a vegan at our table. I laughed so loud & explained my dislike of feta cheese- but, please don't give me a vegan dinner plate! I would happily participate in real protein for dinner. Staff was always quick to bus whatever dishes were done with- and in between bites, I was enjoying table side conversation- staff wanted to bus my salad & dinner plates- but, I had to keep reminding them that I'm still enjoying my meal. Dessert was a variety of cake slices: chocolate with vanilla frosting; red velvet and cream cheese; and lemon cake with lemon frosting. This venue is in a league of its own! No comparison to anything else out here. I began by sending an email with interest in this venue for a corporate Christmas party. I had never been here but I found it on my trusted Yelp. Amanda replied quickly with a phone call. I got all the information I needed from her and scheduled a visit within a few days. She held our date with no pressure until we got to see it in person. Eye-popping-wows! No exaggeration. From the moment we drove up to the building, to taking in the 15th floor penthouse views, we were literally in heaven. I'd have to write pages of paragraphs to describe the magnificence of this space so just trust me- book it! Amanda and Katie were such a pleasure to work with. I got married at the Skybox last weekend. It was better than I could have imagined. I used to work in this tower which is how I knew about the top floor. The weather was great - the views of Coronado, Point Loma, the stadium were phenomenal. My wedding was around 100 people, it felt super intimate. The team that we worked with leading to the wedding (Stephanie & Amanda) were super helpful to answering questions to make sure we had everything covered! We had majority out of town guests, it was super convenient to several downtown hotels within walking distance. Went here for a wedding last night. Overall, venue was gorgeous with a view of Petco Park. Padres game was going on so it was extremely loud. Good for baseball loving couple. Lovely sunset for beautiful lighting for photos after ceremony. Cocktail apps were amazing. Wedding had food stations from caterers that the venue uses. Overall, nice spot to have a one of a kind wedding but something was wrong with mic (breaking) during the ceremony so alotta confused guests. During reception, some guests did not have any seats at a table so that was disappointing. Parking was underground though and venue was easy to locate so no complaints there. read more

Great venue for an upscale party, with about 100 people. The views are AMAZING, with a beautiful sunset and perfect access to what is going on at Petco that night. We were there for a birthday party, and from the looks of it, the venue has everything for a great party: - easy to find location, in gaslamp - beautiful view - bar - stage and audio for live band/DJ/speeches - nice bathrooms - food stations If you're looking for a sit down dinner, I'm not sure if they're able to provide that, but our party hosts had food stations and tons of hors d'oeuvre being passed around. Food was pretty good too. Not sure about the parking situation since we walked there from our hotel. We had a great time, and as a bonus, Monster Jam was going on at Petco the night we were there, so it was extra entertainment provided. The weather was perfect, and we had a great time. If I could give this location and their staff a million stars, I would. They were fantastic. My husband and I do not live in California so I had flown out to look at a few venues, none of them being the Skybox. I told him I narrowed it down to two. Then right before we both had the opportunity to come out to look at the two I had chosen, we saw the Skybox on the Wedding-Spot and the Knot. My husband said we "HAD" to check it out. I called Amanda and she was the nicest person ever. We booked our appointment and the minute we walked in, my husband said: "This is it". The Skybox is stunning and has some of the best views in San Diego. It is non-traditional and made us feel like we truly had a unique wedding. Before the wedding, we were introduced to our wedding coordinator, Chauncey. Chauncey is one of the sweetest people! She is so experienced and organized. I'm a little OCD and she was able to handle my expectations, meet them, and go above and beyond them. Both her and Amanda were always willing to speak with me on the phone and answer any questions/concerns I had. They were able to point me in the right direction as far as a caterer goes and give recommendations for all our other vendors. At the wedding, all our guests expressed how beautiful the venue was. We were told that it was one of the best weddings and that the view from the venue made it. Our guests were extremely happy because everything ran seamlessly. I never had to worry about anything because Chauncey was there t the whole time. She would come up to me about 5 minutes before we had to do the next event (i.e. father-daughter dance, cake cutting, etc.) and ask if Philip (my husband) and I were ready to move on or if we wanted a few more minutes. Honestly, the care and attention she and her staff that day gave were beyond excellent. Chauncey made sure we ate that day, had a drink in our hands, and were overall happy. The venue is drop-dead gorgeous, but the staff deserves all the praise. I will recommend this place 11 out of 10 times. read more

It is such a shame that a building that you would consider a "Class A" building would hire security by the name of OMAR - extremely rude not only to me that I lease in the building but to my sister and I have had clients complain. After leasing for about 3-4 years now diamond view has disappointed me. I was disrespected while on I was in the lobby. I can also add that other clients are very unhappy with his nasty attitude. If my clients are going to get this unwelcoming experience I might as well go lease at a cheaper location and I can guarantee that they will treat my clients with respect. if you hate your job, do not work here, all because you want to be on the phone during your shift? He is so called security and yet I am suppose to feel secured in the building while working late at night? I feel endangered now! Definitely will NOT BE RENEWING MY LEASE with a so called security that is going to be talking on the phone, and be rude to my clients. read more

The view from the skydeck is amazing. You can see the bay, coronado, Petco park and surrounding downtown area. We were there for an event last weekend. The service was great and staff were very friendly. However, the food was very mediocre. Apps were ok but the actual lunch catering was not. I think they were trying to go the fancy/unique route - the mac and cheese with apple pieces was not a good combo. Short ribs in some kind of fast food wrapper - it tastes fine but the presentation was not. No veggies at all. Then the dessert crepe for some reasons had goat cheese in it. Goat cheese in dessert crepe! We informed the server staff but I don't think they did anything with it. If you want to have a corporate event there, make sure to be careful with your menu and do the tasting with them. read more

We went to a wedding here and I love being on the highest floor to see a view that overlooks downtown, the Coronado Bridge, and Petco Park. We came here to see the venue and potentially book it for our wedding. The space is modern and the views are STUNNING, but it was unfortunately way too small. This venue is perfect for an event with less than 100 people. We were told that the reception here would have to be what they call a "moving reception" where there are food stations set up and no real sit-down dinner. More of a party vibe. We had our wedding at the Ultimate Skybox in February. We had the great pleasure of having Rachael Mendoza be our day-of coordinator. Wen I say "day-of" it really is an understatement, Rachael was an integral part of planning everything so that the day went off flawlessly. In addition to all of the planning and coordinating of vendors, Rachael also helped me surprise my bride/wife with a live event artist. This involved twice the amount of work for her (coordinating a second layout meeting, sending separate emails to us and then to me separately and doing all very covertly). We did not choose this space as our wedding venue, but we would if we could! If you want to show off the City of San Diego to your out of town guests with spectacular views of the city for your wedding, there are pretty much two places: University Club Atop Symphony & Ultimate Skybox at Diamond View Towers. We met with Pili last week and she is hands-down the sweetest person ever! She is extremely professional, and you can tell that she's not out to sell you something. She will be completely honest and keep your priorities and budget in order. I would totally trust her with handling my wedding. And the venue. My goodness!! It's so hip and modern, from the lounge furniture included in the rental, to the totally so-cal fire pit on the balcony. If you were going for a lounge or even club type wedding, this would be the place. If you get married in the summer, you get free Petco fireworks! For a seated, traditional dinner, with a dance floor, it fits 120 comfortably. For more guests than that, you have to do a "moving style" reception. Our traditional parents were not happy with that option, so this place was not a good fit for us. As, our wedding would be on a Saturday in August, the rental fee, not including chairs, tables, food or beverage, was $6,500.00. But don't let that scare you away completely. The venue is beautiful, so if you don't really care about a theme or decorations, you won't have to worry about it! And you can bring in your own alcohol, without a corkage fee! Schedule a meeting with Pili and at least check it out. It will probably grab your heart like it grabbed ours. read more

Had our wedding here 3/19/16. VIEW: Getting married? Do yourself a favor and just come check it out. The view is the best in San Diego, and it's a great way to wow guests right away. SPACE: The room itself is great, if a little board-roomish. To compensate for this, we hired a furniture company to come bring quirky funky chairs and couches, which more than compensated for it. Made it all a really great experience. We had our ceremony off-site because it felt a little awkward to have it there. It would've been fine, but I think it's better as just a reception venue if you can swing it. SERVICE: With the rental comes a day-of coordinator, assigned 3 months before the wedding itself. Ours was a charming young woman named Chauncey, who worked with us every step of the way, holding us to a checklist, asking us questions we didn't even know we needed to answer, and basically guiding us through the entire thing. We cannot say enough nice things about Chauncey, personally or professionally. I have no idea what kind of experience it would've been without her, and I shudder to even consider it. So much of the ease and flow of the entire day was because she was back there running the thing from start to finish. Couldn't have been better. read more

We just had our wedding reception here on August 11, 2013. We're originally from the Midwest and had a lot of family coming, so it was important to give our friends and family a big taste of San Diego. Just walking in the door is jawdropping. The layout was ideal as well. It created the perfect environment for people to mingle, dance and have a great time. The view is incredible: it overlooks Petco Park, downtown, Coronado and the bayfront. To be honest, we didn't want to like it when we were looking for a venue just because of the pricetag, but my husband and I knew the second we stepped foot in the Skybox it was right. We are so glad we chose this place. Our guest are still talking about how awesome the place is. We have heard multiple times that we had "the best wedding ever" and I think the Skybox is a big reason why. Another thing worth mentioning: Booking an event here also gives you a day-of coordinator from Creative Affairs. This was so helpful. They gave us great ideas and were really invaluable to helping us pull the whole thing off and stay sane! read more

Spectacular!! Everything about The Ultimate Skybox exceeded our expectations. We booked this venue because the views are phenomenal and as avid baseball fans this venue hit it out of the park. You get the most beautiful view of downtown, Petco Park and Coronado. You can't go wrong with having your wedding here. The flow of the venue was awesome. Some guests would hang outside by the firepit, some at the bar, and others on the dance floor so no matter where our guests were it felt like everyone was included in the fun. I have done two events at the Ultimate Skybox (the company I work for has held events here for the past eight years), Amanda is always pleasant and super helpful with the planning process. Pili, is who we worked with to put it all together, was just such a doll. ! The experience at the Ultimate Skybox was amazing from start to finish. I'm from Ohio and wanted a venue that you wouldn't be able to find back home. The views are spectacular no matter where you look. Our guests raved about the views. There's multiple places guests can mingle other than at the tables. At the front, they had seating area. There's an outdoor patio with a huge fireplace and seating. I think the fireplace was a guest favorite. I loved the hardwood floors. I was looking for a venue that didn't have that tacky carpet that clashes with everything (you guys know what I'm talking about). This place was just so elegant.
