She made sure I was comfortable the whole time and walked me through each step. Eyebrow wax, tint and lamination took about 1 hour and 15 minutes with consultation. I originally booked my brow appointment for July 4th. I agreedeven though the change was initiated by the business. Then the day before my rescheduled appointment, they messaged saying my brow artist had a family emergency and that I would be seeing a different artist instead. I didn't see the message until the following morning and therefore never confirmed the change. At that point my appointment had already been changed once because the salon was closing on the original date and now the artist was changing again. Rather than proceed with an appointment that had changed multiple times due to circumstances outside of my control, I decided to cancel. I understand the salon's response will likely be that my appointment date and time remained the same, that they notified me of the artist change and that I canceled within their same day cancellation window. They also explained that their policy allows for a 100% same day cancellation fee and that they only charged me 50% as a courtesy. I don't dispute that they have a cancellation policy. My issue is with how it was applied in this situation. This wasn't a typical last minute cancellation where everything remained as originally booked. The business had already rescheduled my appointment once because they were closing and then changed my artist less than 24 hours before the appointment. I never confirmed that I was comfortable with that change before being charged. Emergencies happen and I don't fault my original brow artist for having a family emergency. My disappointment is with the decision to enforce a cancellation fee despite the multiple changes initiated by the business. In my opinion greater flexibility would have been the fairer approach. I disputed the charge with my bank and chose not to rebook. While I can't speak to the quality of their brow services, I can only review my own experience as a customer and unfortunately it left me disappointed with how the situation was handled.

Shannon called me to ask how she could help and I explained what I was waiting on and that I was unhappy with my currently lash girl because the retention was terrible and lashes are not a cheap upkeep. A couple of weeks later, I set up my appointment with Deka. I was immediately greeted and was walked through entering my information and signing some online forms. I had my eyebrows tinted and then moved on to my eyelashes. Both looked amazing. I also received a follow up call/voicemail from Shannon to ask how my appt was. Fast forward two weeks to my fill in appt. the retention of my extensions was the best that I have ever had. And once again, the staff was so friendly and I walked out with beautiful lashes again. You can pay for each fill or you can join a monthly membership depending on your going forward wants. Either way, it's a win!

Well, they are more expensive than other places. I know, South Tampa tax. But also, while they do take credit card, if the owner is there, she'll try to pressure you into paying cash or using Zelle. Not a huge deal, but it feels a little tax-evade-y. Also, they are big into upselling. This is a good place to go if I need my eyebrows done in a rush, but if I have time to drive a bit farther, I'd rather go elsewhere.
