Was my favorite spot to mail and return packages but recently the staff has been rude, rushed and with no care to how they treat their customers! I've never had a problem with this location but several weeks ago I sent back a package and that package never arrived to its destination. This has happened twice already in two locations (Wyoming location and Academy location) Don't go here if you want your packages and mail to make it to their destination! read more

This review is for the UPS drop off center in La Cueva Shopping Center off Carmel. At about 0810 am on October 18, 2021 I arrived at the aforementioned location to ship a rifle scope back to Leupold for a warranty repair. After entering all of the shipping information the female assistant asked me what I was shipping. I informed her it was a rifle scope. This person informed me that they could not ship anything that anything to do with a rifle(?). I informed her that a scope was really just a small telescope. She still informed me that they could not ship it, try the UPS Hub. This really upset me, I left saying a few choice words and went across Paseo to FedEx. They gladly shipped my scope back to Leupold for warranty work. The really messed up part of this is that UPS will deliver the repaired scope to my home and their Policy does not prohibit shipping optics. I looked up the UPS Policy for firearms: Use of UPS Services for Your Firearm Shipment: Handguns, as defined by 18 U.S.C. § 921, will be accepted for transportation only via UPS Next Day Air Services, specifically, UPS Next Day Air® Early, UPS Next Day Air®, and UPS Next Day Air Saver®. (Note: UPS Express Critical™ Service is not available for firearms). UPS accepts firearm parts for shipment, provided the part is not a "firearm" as defined under federal law; the contents of the package cannot be assembled to form a firearm; and the package otherwise complies with federal, state, and local law. (Note: Receivers or frames of a firearm and firearm mufflers/silencers (also referred to as suppressors) are considered "firearms" and are accepted for transportation only if shipped in accordance with UPS's requirements for shipping firearms.) UPS does not accept automatic weapons, including machine guns, for shipment. Firearms (including handguns) and firearm parts are not accepted for shipment internationally. UPS Returns® Services are not available for packages containing firearms. I also looked up other prohibited items, rifle scopes are not included. This branch is awesome! They update their own store page on the main UPS website regularly. The outgoing message on their machine is cheery and says that December is a busy time so if they don't answer they are with other customers but has detailed info on how to mail green chili and suggests you leave a detailed message for staff to get back to you. Scott called me back promptly, and was clearly very busy but nonetheless helped me figure out how to mail something the best way (how to package it, best way to ship through UPS) I have not mailed it yet, so this review is based solely on their customer service, which is top-notch. read more

The line was slow and it took a long time to send a prepaid envelope and a need to be paid envelope. Too bad they don't assign one person to handle walk-ins. One guy was on the phone explaining the business to someone which was happening the whole I was there. read more

The service can be a hit or a miss but this location is very convenient for me. It's actually only one employee with a negative attitude that reminds me of an Chapelle Show episode. Everyone else is helpful and nice. Small but they have everything from P.O. boxes to rent, packing and shipping material, a free desktop to use, and a copy machine. read more

The post office charges 3.60 for registered mail, but UPS Store charges 11.60. What a ridiculous rip off! just go to the Post office.

I have been doing all my shipping from here lately. The owner is very helpful and friendly and there is never more than one person ahead of me. I have used their notary service, UPS shipping services, USPS priority mail service, and might in the future consider getting a mailbox here. If you need to get something from point A to point B (including specialty packing for green chile) this is your place. read more

Don't come here if you need a notary. They don't have a stamp. They'll make you take a picture of the notary language and make you format it yourself on a computer because you can't photocopy the language onto your document. There isn't a computer on site. Not sure why they advertise this service when they can't even help you. You're better off going to a bank. read more

I was in town from California and had a critical business meeting the next day, and they were the only copy shop still open that could make the copies I needed from my flash drive. I got there just as they were ready to close, but they did the job anyway! The staff are courteous and efficient, and got the job done with a smile. Highly recommended! read more

Stopped by to drop off two packages that still needed to be taped. I bought some tape to take care of this but the associate at the counter was extremely helpful and took care of taping the labels for me. I used to be on-board with the store on Wyoming and Paseo but I think they are going above and beyond ridiculous. I need to send a spotting scope back to Vortex for repairs and was told that "BECAUSE IT'S GUN RELATED THEY CANT SHIP IT". Now it makes sense as to why they chose the color brown. read more

A few months back, I was visiting ABQ and needed to ship a family heirloom back to California, an old slot machine! Excellent, friendly, knowledgable, capable and helpful staff. That's all you need to know. It's almost impossible to find ANYPLACE with good service these days but THIS UPS store has it. Whenever I get packages they help me move them to my truck. They are always friendly. They always seem to want to help. The location is very convenient for me personally and that helps. They do NOT open when stated. I waited around for 10 minutes for them to open at the time stated on their doors (which was different from stated online)- and they still didn't open. So.. I waited another 5-10 minutes. and still nothing. You could see the security cages still locked and everything. I've used many shipping services, but must write a review for this location. I walked in and was immediately greeted by a smiling face. Then I saw the green chile! They have green chile right there to buy and send off!! Not only can you send off frozen green chile, but FRESH green chile! I have so many family members that want authentic New Mexico green chile-- What a convenience! Back to my visit. The people were so kind and helpful. There were customers in there sending off their packages, but it seem like I waited no time at all. Although I wanted to stay in there to smell the green chile, I was in and out in no time. I actually left with a smile on my face. It's so rare to have great customer service, but this location made me feel like my business is appreciated. I will be a returning customer. Now I know how to send my green chile off !!! Oh, my package arrived safe and sound and on time.
