Once again....the post office disappoints another tax payer. I quit using the post office about 18 years ago with my business......stories for another day. Today I waited for almost 30 minutes. Got the the next helper who had helped the same lady for the whole time I was in line. I have an injured right hand and am in a cast. When I asked the gentleman to help me fill out the small information for an international shipping he told me there was a line and I would have to go do it (find someone to write it for me and then get back in LINE AGAIN!!! If I had been a woman I'm sure he would have helped me just like the 30 minutes he spent with his previous customer!!!! Just another story of how bad the UP Postal service is and treats it customers who are tax payers!!!! ASSHOLES!!!! I spoke with the Manager "Terry", she said she knew whom it was ...... We all know that nothing will come from this other than getting it off my chest to feel better. Also reported it nationally. I have lot's of bad US Postal Service stories....too many to list here. HATE THE US POSTAL SERVICE!!!!!! Only use UPS or FEDEX.....they are great!

I'll be the first to tell you I'm not very good with computers and cell phones. I thought I would give them a try. It was about 10AM Monday. I was the only one there. I had my laptop with me. Joey asked what it was that I needed and I told him I had documents on my computer, and could he print them some way. He explained how, showed me how to do it on my computer by sending them an email with the enclosures, and bam! It was done. Joey is a great guy. He was helpful considerate and patient with me, and got me out of a jam.

Today I dropped off a package with a pre-printed label: although it was a "special circumstances" package requiring notification of the Fed Ex employees, I was out the door in under two minutes (probably closer to one). Fantastic - could never ask for better. The phone situation - ah, well - you've got to go through a phone tree and the fellow who eventually answered today was not the caliber of employee I usually associate with the successful Federal Express business. It happens. The value? Well, it's FedEx - it costs what it costs. It's generally reliable and I'm delighted that it's not the world of 50 years ago when it comes to package delivery. Anyhow, only downside was the phone experience - I'm not sure why the rating for this business is presently so low, but my experiences have been pretty good and I will certainly use this place in the future.

This location was woefully understaffed on my particular visit today…read more My concern was for a parcel that was not delivered to me because I wasn't at home. As our queue moved, the gentleman and his associate did their best to handle customer requests. They tried to keep things cool but I could hear a lot of tension in their dialogues with the customers. The two men seemed unfamiliar with basic details such as the address of the store. At least twice, I heard one man comment on the theme of "young people won't work for X dollars an hour anymore". Are UPS workers so demoralized now that there are not enough to help out? Obviously they're not on strike (i.e. no political statement -- that would be a dinosaur in 2026). When I asked for help to find my parcel, the gentleman calmly gestured to a pile of parcels behind the desk stretching into the next room, helpless. His opinion was that my carrier did not leave a pink slip requesting redelivery and was "lazy". Despairing of a redelivery attempt, I asked if my parcel would be safe until somebody would be able to help me locate it. Then the gentlemen, with the most deadpan manner said, "we will leave the doors unlocked and all the homeless will come in". Crediting him with a sense of humor despite his helplessness, I remain deeply concerned about the safe delivery of parcels in our local community in Albuquerque NE Heights. UPDATE 8/20/26: Parcel was safely delivered to me, on the redelivery attempt. I did not attempt to revisit the UPS Store in the morning as planned, because I was fortunate to see, from the UPS Tracker information linked to my order, that my parcel was once again out for deliver. In the light of what happened the previous day, this event had a miraculous appearance.

This review is for the UPS Store at 8226 Menaul Blvd NE in Albuquerque. For approximately nine months, I had refrigerated medication shipped to this location as a UPS Access Point. Every shipment was refrigerated, so I reasonably believed temperature-sensitive medications would be handled appropriately. Then one shipment was left unrefrigerated and ruined. An employee acknowledged the issue and documented it. Management had my contact information. No one called. No one apologized. No one followed up. When the replacement shipment arrived, I finally heard from management not to apologize, but to explain that refrigeration is merely a "courtesy" for non-mailbox customers and that I should not expect my medication to be refrigerated unless I pay for a mailbox. So apparently the policy is: refrigerate medication for nine months, never tell the customer it's optional, leave a shipment out and ruin it, then explain afterward that the customer should have somehow known better. Even more impressive was being told that the store bears no responsibility because I didn't pick up the package fast enough. Apparently accepting temperature-sensitive medication and then failing to store it properly is not the issue the customer is. If refrigeration is not guaranteed, customers should be told before packages are accepted, not after a shipment is damaged. Based on my experience, if you have refrigerated medication, choose a different UPS Access Point.

I've ordered everything from banners and signage to printed materials and stickers, it's all very, very Good. And third, this is my favorite aspect of the biz: they're amazing community partners. Over the years, they've provided plenty of materials and support to local businesses, most evidenced by so many restaurants that proudly posted their un-gender-specific bathroom signage that, honestly, couldn't be better stated. They always have patience and answers for my many postage questions ("How much does it cost to send a non-machinable letter to Argentina?", "Where can I find the Robert Panara Deaf Education stamps?", "Do I have to include 'China' in the address of a letter to Hong Kong?") To top it all off, this is where Kelly, my mail carrier, is based. Kelly is amazing. She goes WAY above and beyond. I'm going to paste in a story of a mail SNAFU that happened to me about a year ago. If you don't want to read a long explanation of why Kelly is amazing, feel free to stop now and just know this post office is a damn good one. Okay buckle up because this is a rollercoaster of a story: I spent the last two weeks hand-addressing (in calligraphy) 80 wedding invitations. They were beautiful. This morning I put them in the mailbox before I went to work - I was so excited to finally get them out to my family and friends. I even put in a card with a small gift for my mail carrier, thanking them for managing my invitations. When I got home, I found a note in my mailbox from my mail carrier (an amazing woman named Kelly), explaining that she had found my mailbox open and empty. Later on her route, she had found some of my invitations, a few open and wet on another street in our neighborhood. She left her phone number and told me to call her when I got home. I was so freaked out - clearly my invites had been stolen. When I called, I was in a bit of a state, crying because of how much work I put into hand lettering all the envelopes and thinking that many would be lost. Even though she was off for the day, she went back to her post office to pick up what she had managed to find and bring them over to me. They were ALL THERE! I have to re-address a few, but they were there! It turns out that another kind soul (a nice man named Martin) found them stacked on top of a big group of mailboxes near his home a few streets away from ours. He collected the ones that had blown away and put rocks on top. Then he explained what had happened to Kelly the mail carrier who related it to us. I can't believe the crazy rollercoaster of emotions I've been on since I got home from work today. I was so unbelievably angry that some cruel person would steal 80 wedding invitations just to look for money. Then I was relieved and amazed at the kindness of my neighbors (Kelly lives nearby too). Faith in humanity restored! Also, from now on, I will take important things to the post office when I need to send them.
