Extremely disappointed with their service. Dropped off a package at this store (UPS Store #3561) worth almost $900 on July 26th, 2021. Subsequently the package was lost and a claim for refund was initiated. I'm not angry that the package was lost because sometimes that does happen. What made me angry was the response or rather lack thereof from the UPS Store #3561. Within a week I submitted all the invoices & proofs of purchase for that shipment. Was given the standard response from the Manager of this store saying "Come back after 2 months. That's how long UPS takes to settle claims". Alright, I knew that timeline was a bit excessive but still I patiently waited for 2 months. During that time I had 0 updates on the claim from them. Now it's well over 2 months and having still not heard from anybody, I decided to email the store and the UPS HQ over the status of my claim. The store replied saying they submitted everything over 2 months ago and there wasn't any delay. They also said they "re-sent" the documents today. Got a response from UPS HQ that they haven't received any paperwork from the UPS Store #3561 and they were still waiting for that to process my claim. Clearly the UPS Store #3561 simply forgot about my claim and did not send the invoices to UPS Claims Department. Their attitude leaves a lot to be desired. Never had the patience to explain the process, irresponsible with their duties and a complete lackadaisical attitude on helping their customers. Don't believe my story? I went right over, got my document stamped, and the charge was $1. With how crazy difficult it is to find a Notary Public, they should charge $10. This is my go to spot to mail things out. This review will be quick just like my visits to this UPS store! Every time I've been in here the service has been great. I'm greeted right away with friendly service and am usually in and out within 5 minutes. I come here whenever I need to mail a letter, package or buy stamps. The staff always informs me of the most cost effective shipping method and what's best for the item I'm shipping. I almost always come in with my package already boxed or in an envelope, but there's been a couple times I bought a mailer or shipping box from them which is super convenient. They also have a stand full of greeting cards which has come in handy too! Like the one time I forgot to get a birthday card to accompany the gift I was mailing... At the end of the day, I'm a fan. For the past five years, this has been my home. Or rather, my address! Living in apartments (and moving a lot) meant that the simple act of getting my mail was kinda like seeking the minotaur, and his riddle involved ancient Egyptian algebra. Keeping my address here was safe, simple, and meant the key was kept in their mighty fortress. No more stolen packages for me! For a private citizen (no business affiliation), keeping a mail box here is rather pricey, but you are allowed after-hours access to the front of house. The teenage staff has always been very courteous, fun and friendly, although I've had a few encounters with upper management that made me walk out feeling guilty for giving them my money each month. I don't like being made to feel like tucking my tail between my legs. Whether I'd advise a fellow apartment-dweller to do the same would depend entirely on the quantity of mail they receive and whether or not their apartment management leaves packages out in the open and doesn't always require a resident's signature to pick them up. Exceptional! I have used many UPS stores and although they all provide great customer service, this location really stands out to me as a higher level. They are usually busy when I come in, but I've noticed that they make sure to look up and greet every person walking in. They do a nice job of handling each transaction quickly so if there's a line, it moves quickly. I have ordered copy services and it's easy & quick to get a phone quote, email over my documents and pick up soon after. Working from home, I really appreciate this convenience but also how quickly they have my printing ready and how great it looks! I also recently had them pack and ship an item out of the country and Linda did a wonderful job carefully packing it and getting it out fast. I'd give 10 stars if I could! read more

This is just a store, regardless of name. Some people don't know how to tell the difference. Just like the USPS (Post Office) for those that don't know, you walk in and either give mail or a package to be delivered, or you go in to retrieve mail or a package. As a store, they hold the package for you until a UPS truck pulls up, takes it, and goes to deliver it. Not too difficult, is it. Quick in and out. If you gave 1 star or wanted to give negative stars, just go to the Post Office. They are really nice there, and the lines are always so short. I ship packages everyday and when I see I have to use UPS to ship one of my packages I start to cringe. Everyone at this location is great except one employee, the shorter of the 2 blonde girls that work there. every time she scans my packages in she just throws them roughly on the floor Like if she was taking out the trash. One of my items had some weight and she threw it on top of one my smaller packages and smashed it. Thankfully it was just a small box of clothes but what if it was life saving medical device. She works like she hates her job and she acts like I'm inconveniencing her for using UPS. I will be using another UPS store that's out of my way just so I can have that peace of mind. I had a perishable package to ship overnight to my dad and went to this local UPS store for a box and shipping. I let the store clerk know the package was fragile and perishable, she packaged it up and proceeded to drop it on the counter upside-down without care. Afterwards, I had her check rates for overnight shipping. Her first quote was OUTRAGEOUS... $190 for before 10am delivery. In shock, I then asked her if that was the BEST rate she could give me. After mentioning that I knew UPS also uses the USPS to ship and was sure there had to be a better rate, she quoted me $166 by 9pm delivery next day. After I said that was too expensive, she said, "why don't you ask your dad to see if he'll pay for it?" This woman over stepped her bounds assuming that ones parents were helping them financially not to mention her bad attitude during the whole process was very difficult to deal with. I proceeded to call the USPS which was less than a mile away for a quote on delivery. She then pushed my package away rolling her eyes. I received a quote for only $80 for overnight delivery before 10am from the USPS. I let the store clerk know, paid for the $8 box (also a ridiculous price because I had bubble wrapped and brought packing materials with me), and went over to the post office to ship my package. I will NEVER be using this store again in the future and thought I would leave a review about the TERRIBLE customer service I received. If I were you, I would steer clear of these thieves. read more

Absolutely the worst. Folks, there is a FedEx Store at the OfficeMax on Ogden, just west of Eola. I would STRONGLY suggest you ship from there rather than this location. I shipped a package to a common address in downtown Chicago - the CME, for those who know where that location is. It was a large, heavy package filled with client holiday gifts for staffers there. The driver "could not find the address" and a couple of days later the enormous box was back on my front porch. I took the package back to the store and paid to ship it again, this time to a different location. This time the box was "damaged" in transit and all the contents were thrown away. No chance for me to review the damage or to salvage any of the contents. Instead, it was just thrown away. As I write this, I've been on-hold for roughly an hour, maybe more, waiting to talk to someone who could help. Let's be clear: what I think happened is that the shipping box *was* damaged, and that the driver saw what was inside. I think he decided to take the whole lot for himself, or at least the contents that could be salvaged. If you don't want this to happen to you, too, especially at Christmas-time, I'd encourage you to rely on FedEx from now on. I certainly will. read more

The UPS Store is a good place to know about if you do a lot of shipping! I sometimes get rid of stuff I'm no longer using via eBay, and I usually do my shipping here. The employees are always very helpful, even advising me on ways to save a few bucks (packing myself, using a different size box, etc.) Whether I bring in a giant heavy box containing an electric bass guitar, or have them pack a small package full of old DVD's I shouldn't have bought in the first place, my packages always arrive on time (sometimes a day early) and in fine condition. Save yourself some trouble on shipping and stop by the UPS Store. Made an appointment online in the morning to have papers notarized. Filled out my information, email, phone number and what kind of papers I needed notarized. Got a confirmation email and number for my appointment. I get to the store at 3:50pm for my 4pm appointment and was told by some young kid that they do not notarize mortgage papers, and suggested to go elsewhere. If this location does not do these types of papers. Why didnt anyone of the 5 workers in the store call or email me to let me know????? Terrible customer service and I would never go back to this location. Employees are lazy and young and just dont care. I had to return equipment for Xfinity. I brought the two devices and my email confirmation, but the person working there did not scan one of my devices and would not take my paper. She insisted that my return was complete, but I received a bill for $210.00 for the one she didn't scan. Even though Xfinity lists this location, I would not recommend it. read more

I went on Friday the 13th to have documents copied for my business. It was never made clear how much it was going to cost. Some of the documents were color, but most were black and white. It was done on a Ricoh copier with a counter function. No one used the counter. When they were done I came back and told me I owed over $500. I was amazed. I should have got a price quote, but I thought they would rely on the copiers counter function (i.e. 500 black and white, 100 color) and charge me accordingly. I was mistaken. Do not come her for copier services. Everything is poorly explained and ends up in tragedy. The management was uninterested in helping me. This was an expensive lesson. If you get copies, make sure you get a handle on all the costs. read more

Now I see why this store averages only 2 stars. Shame I cannot give negative stars. What pitiful customer service here and, like many other poorly run UPS Store franchises, they are quick to tell you that "we are NOT UPS and are not affiliated with UPS" which is pretty ridiculous. The store is called the UPS store, it uses the UPS logo, ships UPS, you can print labels at the official UPS website and they accept them there... yeah, I think you are affiliated with UPS. This one had some moron last week that took my printed SEND TO and SENT FROM sheet from the UPS website to make a label and screwed up the SHIP TO address and sent it to a home about 6 miles away instead of downtown Chicago. Yep, all they needed to do was read and type a label off of a printed UPS sheet. But no. Instead I had to go get the box from the nice folks who mistakenly received it, gave them $20 for the courtesy because the items were rather valuable inside, and take it back to the UPS store only to get a snotty person to remake the label the right way after she tried to dish me off to the UPS Customer service phone number (wait, I thought they were not affiliated?) to get them to give her the official original label data. What a mess. This store stinks, whoever owns it should be ashamed, and if UPS had any pride, they would read Yelp reviews and if the store has a 2 star or less - get some training in there? I'm not sure which one is more stupid, the UPS Store owners or UPS for allowing such poor quality service. This is now the second UPS Store I've had trouble with and will not be going back. read more

I never got around to calling UPS and complaining about this store and the woman working there, so I'm going to let others know here on YELP. I went in to mail a package on our business account. I don't usually use the UPS Store to do this, so I am not familiar with how things work. So, I come in and ask if they have a mailing label to put on my package and was told VERY rudely by the woman behind the counter that they don't do that anymore and they haven't been doing it for like 3 years or whatever. Had a package shipped to this store. Went to pick it up and got there a few min before 7:00 because of traffic on Eola road and surprise they were closed. So go back today during lunch to pick up the same package and the lady working there had a complete attitude. To make matters worse she charged me an additional $5 over the $5 ups charged me to have the package shipped to the store. This place is a complete scam. I was never told of this extra charge when I had the package redirected to the store or I would have just had it sent to my office. I went in to have a smaller package shipped and to buy a box to shop it in. The box was a little pricey, but I needed to get it shipped. I decided to use their faxing service instead of running to Office Max, especially after checking in to the location on Yelp and getting a free two page fax promo pop up on my screen. I told the woman I wanted to use it and she looked at me and my phone funny when I showed her, as if she didn't have a clue what I was talking about. I won't return if I need a fax done in a hurry. Horrible store . Rude owner and rude lady that works in the store. I wanted to print a huge banner and a young man there helped me getting it printed out. Suddenly a rude old man appeared out of nowhere and started rolling up my banner in a wrong direction and creating tons of creases . The young guy working there tried to stop him and explain but he wouldn't stop. In fact he yelled at him . He refused to give me any wrapping paper or plastic for the printed banner . I mean seriously I am paying $75 for that white paper and u r telling me u r not going to provide any sheet for covering it . Then he said' let the lady get out of here" just like that. " We printed that's all". Finally I said "I have paid for this and you have destroyed it with your finger prints all over it". He rudely said "don't charge her, let her take it as is" . I mean I have already paid !!! Finally I said whoever you are you are the rudest person i have ever seen and have no manners, this is no way to talk to anyone . He was so hyper and shaking that he lost his mind . I had already paid for that banner which I had to take with his finger prints and creases on it . Please don't visit this store and pay money to be treated badly. Businesses must learn how to treat customers and provide good service. Great store if you are looking for people who can't help you with anything that's a little difficult. Two trips into this store (one on a Saturday afternoon and one on a Tuesday at 4:30pm) and neither the Owner or the Manger have been in the store to assist. The other employees are great, but do not have the knowledge to help with the shipping problem I am having. So I guess I'm off to this store for a third time and will keep my fingers crossed that someone is there, who can actually help me!
