As UPS Store locations are typically franchised, each shop has a slightly different vibe and service attitude. This location on Far West Blvd has been a pleasure to patronize. It's fairly spacious compared to many locations and the service is always prompt and friendly. It is convenient to my office as well so I can stop here either before or after my client appointments. Worst service ever. They charged $202.60 to deliver a package to Mexico knowing each and every item being sent as they made a list after reviewing and repacking each and every item. Delivery was returned to my home and the store is refusing to reimburse the amount they charged. Utterly disappointed in this UPS franchise store, and especially its manager, Chris. The only reason I'm giving two stars rather than one is because the other employees work so hard to please each and every customer. I hope Chris is a better boss than he is at customer service. And yes, I do realize the implications of my accusations. I am so sorry but his is dreadful service. I was made to wait 45 minutes after reaching the front of the line for a refund that was half the amount I'd been promised: a full refund. Chris called yesterday to offer a full refund for $280 - and I was given $147 instead. Why? No explanation. Take it or leave it. It's been this way - or worse - all along. When there was no update to my claim for damaged shipped goods, no reply to my emails... no reply to my phone calls... I had had enough. So I called the corporate office. Corporate got mad enough to force Chris into action, and then he disappointed me all over again. Bottom line is: INSURANCE WITH THIS UPS STORE COUNTS FOR NOTHING, unless you are willing to spend hours fighting for your rights. Dang. read more

I love this UPS location!! Their staff is super friendly, quick and really knowledgeable about their services. It's not easy to remain friendly all day when you're dealing with customers, and these folks nail it! I don't feel price-gauged like I do when I go to other shipping outlets. I have been pleased with the service at this store. Lines can get a little long sometimes but employees are very good about working as fast and efficiently as they can to get to the next customer. They seem to genuinely care about customers and even recognize me now since I've gone to pick up packages relatively often. I really appreciate their helpful spirit. This UPS Store in Far West has a surprisingly "local" neighborhood feel. I happen to live in the neighborhood, but even if I didn't, I would make this my regular UPS Store. I come here mostly to drop-off eBay or Amazon related shipments, and the staff always makes me feel welcome. I think part of the culture of this store is that they serve a smaller community so they appreciate and value repeat neighborhood customers knowing that they'll likely be returning. Today, despite a rare return label error on Amazon's part, the UPS staff was helpful in pointing me in the right direction. I hopped onto one of their computers, was able to live chat with an Amazon rep, print out a working return label right there in the UPS Store, and then the friendly gentleman was kind enough to tape the return packaging onto the box. I just left here spending over $200.00 on shipping. I got to deal with a guy with a deadpan personality. No thank you for your business or anything. I walked out feeling taken advantage of. I left this location feeling like they were not grateful for my business. I ship ALL the time at UPS stores all over the country. So I know a good experience when I get one. I came in 5/16/19 about 8:30am to send something 2nd day. I asked the agent to seal the package in front of me and he agreed to but still took my package out of my sight to the back of the store. Another customer walks in and he left my package unattended while he helped her because "he had to take care of the line first". Once he was finished with her he proceeds to the back of the store wraps my package and comes out to show me. I reminded him that I asked to watch him seal it. His response is that he "does this everyday and it's fine". I don't doubt his competency, it's that fact that I asked to watch something valuable to me be sealed and he let it out of both of our sight and did the exact opposite of what I asked. Simple request. I wasn't sending bubble gum. There's a reason I asked for this. Do better. read more

BEWARE!! This store has "MISPLACED" an Amazon return package of mine with valuable contents. When I entered the store on Monday, October 15th just after 11:30 AM there was a line of people being helped by the one person working at the counter. I've always waited and gotten a receipt, but the staff usually looks annoyed that I won't just drop off a pre-labeled Amazon returns package without waiting for a receipt. Well, THIS TIME I was in a hurry and decided to finally trust them, so I complied when the staff member saw my package and said, "If that's already got a label, you can just leave it over there [gesturing toward the empty scale on the far right] and I'll scan it in." I was still nervous about not getting a receipt, so before leaving I took a picture of my package sitting on the scale... just in case I should need proof that I dropped it off as I was instructed. Later that week I realized I hadn't received an email confirmation from Amazon of the return being processed, so on Monday the 22nd I returned to the store to ask about the package. I showed the picture to the staff member on duty, and he said that even though it was a USPS label, they would have sent the package out in that day's USPS mail. When I checked the USPS website for tracking info, the site was down for maintenance... but I felt better knowing they would have put my package in the mail. The next day I checked the tracking info and found that according to USPS the label was created but the package has NOT been received by USPS at all. I then RETURNED to this UPS Store and was told that I should check with the Post Office but that even if the package was lost, I should be fine since "all those packages are insured by Amazon." At the Post Office I was told that the package has not been received by USPS and therefore is not eligible for any kind of claim since it never entered their possession. ONCE AGAIN I RETURNED to this UPS Store where a staff member reluctantly took down my info and said that he guessed he'd try to see if anyone knew anything. I asked if they had security cameras and could check footage starting at 11:39 AM on Monday, October 15th (the time stamp on the photo I took). I was told they do have cameras and will look into it and get back to me as soon as possible. Well, I still haven't heard from anyone at this UPS Store. Management needs to take this VERY seriously, look for my package and/or what happened to it, and make this right. My next step will be to file a Police report if my "misplaced" package doesn't resurface in time for me to return it to Amazon by their deadline of Nov 8th. If an upset, yet quite calm and civil, customer doesn't motivate this UPS Store to right a wrong, maybe Police searching their business and reviewing their security camera footage will be necessary. read more

I've only used this UPS store to drop off Amazon returns, they are either already labeled or I have a QR code and I am offered a receipt and accept one. Often, as I am an older person, one of the employees will run and open the door for me as I have boxes in my hands, if they are not waiting on a customer. I did have an experience a few years ago with the manager while trying to get a notarization and he was not enjoyable. Charged me over $6. A few days later, I went to the nearby Frost Bank where I am NOT a customer, admitted I did not have an account, but asked if they could notarize. They happily did so, no charge. Imagine, no charge to someone stopping in off the street. It takes a certain temperament to be good at customer service, one who doesn't judge a lot or have pet peeves about human foibles. I would not be good at it as I'm critical, so I very much appreciate people who are good at customer service. They are a breed apart. I make sure I always look at them, see them, and thank them. read more

This store is wonderful. The staff are both personal and professional. They know us by name, greet us warmly, assist us with our shipping and printing needs without any hesitation. No task is mundane, they are always in a state of pro active customer service. We hope that the owner/s of this location appreciates their staff both personally and professionally, promoting his staff with raises and responcibility to demonstrate and respect the commitment to excellance that these employees represent. Brought in 4 packages ALL pre-labeled and ready to go, all were either next day or 2nd day shipping (so obviously important). Dropped them off around 3:15 more than enough time before the pick up time (6:00 pm). Noticed the following day that the packages hadn't arrived, and called up to the store. When I called, I asked if they could check on a package for me, I told him the quantity of packages and what time I brought them in and he remembered me. I did not say my name or the company that the boxes were for (but there are labels clearly all around the packages with our business name and phone numbers. He then began to tell me that they were pushed to the side and were never picked up, but they would go out today. NOT ACCEPTABLE. The manager on hand seemed way more interested in drinking his coffee that he wouldn't set down than actually mending the mistakes that his poorly trained employee had committed and maybe comping a package. After all it was THERE FAULT. We ended up having to cancel ALL shipments from on our side and re-do each label. We had to pay $150.00 EXTRA just to upgrade the packages that they screwed up. FURIOUS. All the manager had to say was "well that doesn't happen here, we don't just push packages to the side". I can understand accidents and forgetting a package or two, but the packages that were forgotten ALL had contact info just in case something like this happened. I have mixed feelings. I like their hours, location and service options. The first time I went to use their copy machine, and felt really overcharged even though the amount wasn't much at all. The second time I had a friendly employee help out and I probably could of paid less at a competitor but the service was on-point. It seems it takes an employee a couple minutes to acknowledge you here, which I don't mind but I could see a less patient customer walking out and across the street to UPS. read more

This is the first time I've ever been charged to tape a box shut. The box had one flap that came off. I basically paid for a whole roll of tape ($3) just for two 8" pieces of tape to seal the box. I'll find another store to go to next time. Just ridiculous. Very disappointed. read more

I had to ship 3 yeti cups overnight and the post office would have charged me around $60. I packaged it myself and when all was said and done, it was only $17 to overnight to Houston. The employees were rebooting a computer and the other was being used for what seemed to be a huge order but they were both so nice and apologetic! Didn't mind waiting at all. Plus the guy who helped me is the fastest typer I've ever seen. read more

If you're willing to pay what UPS charges, the service in this location is excellent. I've been here several times, including to ship a mother's day gift. I had some delicate items. They suggested the best way to pack it. I paid and left and didn't even have to wait for them to pack the items. The staff has been friendly and helpful every time I've been here. read more

I had to go in and ask for something a little bit complicated -- that is, sending a letter to someone who is on the move and not yet in the country at which I have been asked to send the letter. Eric, one of the two men working at the store today, helped me. (Had there been only one person he really would not have had time to deal with my situation.) He spent a lot of time explaining to me what I need to do so that the letter can be sent successfully and went out of his way to see how he could help. I could not have asked for more. I came in on 5/12/14 at about 5:30 with 17 packages that I needed to get out, yet I had to open each one back up and remove some of the items and add items. The 2 guys working never made me feel like it was an issue, they were very helpful and worked together to make sure that I got my packages out. I was so impressed by their professionalism and the fact that they just kept smiling even as it got near their shift ending.
