Here to drop off a package! This location has easy parking, always a spot open to just run in and out. A little bit of a line when I came in, but they had it moving very quickly. It's a busy time of year! I love seeing the old fashioned PO boxes. read more

I like the convenience of this place for notary and Amazon returns. Very close to Riverchase. They are quick and efficient. I get why some folks don't like the subtle cigar smell but I kind of like it and my time in there is short anyway. I think new owners took over about a year ago or so. read more

I have Amazon returns often and I come to this location. Upon entering the store the smell of smoke/ cigarettes is very strong. The employees are always smiling and accommodating. If you can get over the smell of the place this is a nice location to visit for a quick drop off nothing more. Definitely wouldn't advise a pregnant person to come in due to second hand smoke smell. read more

If there was -5 stars this location has earned them. The HooverUPS Store is fantastic, even apologized for this Pelham store's poor service. This Pelham location has done an incredible, unbelievable, fantastic job of screwing up the simplest function. Putting the correct label on the correct package. Corporate UPS Store has also not returned any calls and emails. The Pelham store never answers the phone (40 calls), and 20 emails. Never go to this location. UPS (the shipping company) did resolve my mislabeled package. read more

The man behind the counter was very rude and at least put his personal phone down to come to the counter. I was shipping for a refund on two items and maybe 4 words where spoken from him to me. After given my receipt he immediately picked up his personal phone and walked away. read more

I don't understand why I have to drive out of my neighborhood just to visit a location with better customer service. I would give this location negative 5 stars if I could. The carpet smell of wet dog and cigarettes. Every time I visit it's the same employee with a disrespectful attitude and lack luster enthusiasm for his job. I'm lucky if he stops his phone call to service me. I hate it here but refuse to go outta my way just because he's an assh***. I went to drop off a package from amazon and I accidentally selected the option which I have to print the label out instead of just having them scan my phone .. not a problem so I asked the guy who was working can I send it to the ups and pay the fee to print and he told me that the printer is down .. So I ended up going home and printed it my self but my printer was acting up and the print came out light didn't think that is was going to be a problem ..so the next day I head out to the ups same guy working he tried scanning it and it wouldn't so I asked again is the printer still down and again the answer was yes .. this is only location I had trouble with and the guy doesn't even offer another way to help .. Used this store many times. They are very convenient and always pack things up for me safely and professionally. Never any issue with my packages getting to their destination. Might be a little expensive but i would much rather go here than try to get through to very long lines at the post office. read more

UPS damaged my package (my wife's anniversary present) in transit and told me to work with the owner of the store to file a claim. Over the next few months, the owner would tell me he put in the claim, but customer service tells me the owner never filed one. So, someone is lying to me and I'll never be able to recoup what I lost on her present. Overall, UPS has designed their damaged goods process so the customer has no way of recovering either the item or their monetary value. Do not use this store and don't use UPS. read more

I've visited this location 3 times and all 3 times they were very unprofessional and rude. When I drop off stuff at Inverness &/or Greystone locations, I get a "drop off receipt". Not at this location and when I asked about it, the guy got an attitude with me. On my most recent visit, I dropped off a return for Amazon which is now lost (or not shipped yet) my guess is the latter (10 days since I dropped off). Thankfully I made the guy let me take a pic of the packing slip since he refused to provide me with a "drop off receipt". Also, like others have stated this place smells like smoke due to there being a cigar shop next door. I HIGHLY suggest you avoid this UPS location and go to ANY OTHER locations where they care about their customers and actually do their job!!! read more

This store smells so bad! I can't believe that it was because of the cigar bar next-door. It smelled like a stinky ashtray was in the back. I just hope my package does not smell like an ashtray when it arrives at its destination. And like another reviewer commented, he was on his headset talking the entire time. read more

Had a package delivered to this location for my mom. They told her it's not in the system and there's no way to track it with the tracking number that is provided to her by the UPS. The guy there said only way for him to find the package is to look through by name and hey have over 50 packages to sort through. After waiting for 20 minutes they couldn't find the package, while I'm on phone with UPS representative stating the package is really there. They need to properly trained their employees better or have a better sorting system...better yet do both. read more

When I called the UPS Store in downtown Birmingham regarding a package that had gone un-delivered and explained that I was unable to get any useful information as to its delivery time, I was told "good luck." I will never use UPS again. The lack of any ability to actually contact customer service is ridiculous. Now I find that before accepting a claim, UPS requires acceptance of their dispute agreement, including limitation of liability and forum selection... this has to be a good class action. read more

Terrible Customer Service. Overcharged me on my package saying it wouldn't arrive on time, which I found out was incorrect. I bought a large box that they asked me to pack myself due to amount of items. I left with them assuring me they would tape it and take care of it. When I arrived for my trip, all the baby stuff was missing from the package. I was in a remote place with the closest store being an hour away and all my baby stuff i packed gone. I did buy insurance so after my trip I went to the store, emailed, called ending with him checking into things every time and no follow up. I went in the other day and his tune changed to UPS cannot do anything to help and it's basically my fault for packing it (even though I paid for them). UPS says it's the stores deal since it's owned privately. Do not trust this store!!! read more

Don't use this store. The clerk totally took advantage of my in-laws. I sent them to ship 3 packages for me - he charged $124. Two of the packages were large, so I expected the postage to be high - but not $45+ per package! He overcharged on everything. He weighed the packages incorrectly and charged a $12.80 fee on all 3 packages. The only credit I can give him is that after I called and pitched a fit he agreed to return the packages and give us a refund. Of course before that he said, "You can't expect me to sort through the packages and find those," yet he knew exactly which packages I was referring to. I took the packages to another UPS in Hoover and they were all overcharged and weighed incorrectly. The clerk at that store had no idea where the $12.80 charge was coming from on each item. Also, he charged over $35 for a lightweight poster (including that $12.80 fee). The receipt showed the poster weighed 6 lbs. At the second store it was only 1 lb!!! At that store the postage was only going to be $16.00 to ship. It was all still more than I wanted to pay so I took my packages to USPS instead (paid $59.00 for all three including insurance and tracking). I will never step foot inside this store again. read more

Don't go here! Very unprofessional and rude. I had taken package here for a amazon return. I brought my own shipping label. I was told you know this is not free! Obviously I knew it was not free. Fast forward to today, I had not received a refund on my credit card yet. I went to the store and the clerk argued with me that they do not put tracking numbers on package that it happens when it gets to the warehouse. I told him that impossible and showed him a copy of the label in my hand. He kept repeating that he does not have the tracking number and I needed to call UPS Corporate to have them tell me the tracking number. I left in frustration and told him he better hope my package turned up, it's value was 400 dollars I am not just going to let that go. I came back to my office and called 4 different 800 numbers given by the customer support reps at UPS. All of them told me that he has to give me a tracking number. I go back and tell him what UPS said and he finally asked for my phone number and guess what?!?!?!? he had the tracking number! DO NOT GO HERE! read more
