When it came in we were informed that their inhouse tailor was on an extended vacation and could not do our alterations. They made a few suggestions of local people we could try. No warm transfer, no notice/heads up and no concern that we would not have purchased a suit had we known the alterations were up to us to arrange. We went from the salesman joking with us about having so much time, to questioning if we'll find anyone who can get the suit ready in time for the wedding. They work with deadlines all the time - not even acknowledging they put us in a bind is not acceptable.

As far as merchandise goes, the front of the shop consists of various printed tees, sweatshirts, beanies, hats, prints, and stickers. Behind the counter is where a lot of the equipment for printing designs on clothing is located. But one of the coolest parts of the shop is a wall that features HHP's past work of posters for bands, musicians, and other events. Half Hazard has made tour posters for big names like Selena Gomez, Brad Paisley, Jason Aldean, Pitbull. They also made an official poster for the movie "It." They have also done some sweet collabs with local businesses like Coffee Hound and Illinois Tattoo Company. The staff is super friendly as well. Chris is a super cool dude and wanted to help me in any way he could. HHP is making legit designs for bigtime names, and I'm excited for their future.

That being said I've…read moreused Amy as my local tailor for like 20 years now going back to her tiny place by McDonalds on College - and she has never done anything but exactly what I've asked, at a very reasonable rate and turnaround time. She still doesn't speak the best English, the place isn't in a fancy strip mall, but she works crazy hours, and with a little help from what seems like family and friends, they operate what seems to be a pretty high volume, strictly CASH business. While many will have issues with this, I carry cash and have NO issue with it whatsoever. Especially when you realize the value of the service provided. Only other piece of advice I'd give is to avoid prom and prime wedding season if possible, Amy and the VG crew can be quite popular late April into June and late Aug thru September.
