I had to ship a couple of packages this week back to Headquarters located in California and needed to use my employers UPS account. I found this UPS store within walking distance of my hotel. UPS stores are a nationwide chain and service can vary. Service at this location was excellent. I didn't bring a shipping label on my first visit and needed to print it using the customer computer inside the store. I'm okay paying for prints and copies but having to pay to use the customer computer for a few minutes does not tickle me. 4 of 5 stars granted only due to the computer inconvenience. read more

The lady and guy work there today gave me terrible attitude around 5 pm. The lady was talking to me had the worst attitude and messed up the labels and invoices and then she asked me to put the invoices and labels on boxes myself and she laughed at me in a weird way because I have rainbow nails and rainbow bag. The guy who took over my packages after her mistake gave me attitude too, he said he does not care about if I am happy or not about the lady'a attitude. The worst location of UPS I have been to. They were rude, unprofessional, racist and homophobic!!!! I am not surprised how this place has 2.5 stars review after reading through other reviews and the responses from the owner. Best experience I've had trying to ship packages. After going to the post office and getting incredibly poor customer service, to the point of it just being straight rude, I was so grateful to be able to come here and have KJ's help shipping several packages, including one to Australia through DHL which I had never shipped to before. He also ended up being able to help me send out a usps package that the post office told me they wouldn't take it because I had written the address directly on the box and they were closing so I would have to come back on Monday. I will honestly just plan to come directly here next time I need to ship something even if it means paying a little extra. read more

I was going to send a package 2-day with UPS on Monday 2/15/21, and the person behind the counter explained that 2-day at $54 was not guaranteed and there was no money-back if late, but if I upgraded to next day, over $100, it was guaranteed arrival or money-back. In fact, the package was delivered 3 days later, at a premium price, and the store refuses to provide any kind of refund or even pay back the difference btw 2-day & next day (which they lied about in the first place to make the extra cash). Then the manager explained I should have red the (super fine print monstrosity of a) contract as his excuse. I dread going to this store. There is the most aggressive, rude, condescending, employee here named Jonathan(bearded man). He unnecessarily started arguing with me when I had a valid Amazon return. He proceeded to make fun of me-someone that is 38 weeks pregnant and my accent. When I showed him that the return was in fact valid he said "Wow Nisha, you can read." When I told him that he was being rude, he told me "not to worry because in the future he wouldn't accept my returns." I filed a complaint with ups and was told that I should receive a follow-up from the store, but have not heard anything. If the manager is reading this, he should take some sort of action. I had to post another great review of this store and the wonderful team that staffs it. Yesterday I went over to shred some documents and Jonathan assisted me. When I mentioned to him that I had three boxes that were heavy and needed to be mailed, he asked how far away I lived. I told him right on the corner and he went and got his trolley and came to my home, picked up the boxes and shipped them off. Now who does that in this day and age? You want to talk about customer service...this is the best place ever with excellent staff who are professional and supportive. I went to this neighborhood UPS for the first time today and was actually in shock at the aggressiveness of the man working there when I was confused about the cost to have my prepaid package taped. I've had multiple times where I've need notarized documents and each time there are new rules and hours. First it was only 2 documents, now it's only during certain hours, even though he (the notary!) was right there and completely free. And the smugness. So who knew this could even happen... I hand delivered a package to this UPS store on Columbus Ave (it was a return to amazon) and the package can not be found. Amazon has not received it and according to UPS the label was printed but not used. Again - I delivered the package myself (sealed with label ready to ship) and somehow it's just gone.... Total shame because the staff seems lovely but to be out the full value of a return, especially when you know that each step you could complete yourself was done properly, really stinks. read more

After my really awful incident with my experience with FedEx, I practically praise the ground that UPS walks on. I love UPS. Their drivers are always friendly, helpful, & ohhhh guess what, they actually RING THE BUZZER to let you know that they've arrived instead of just updating their website saying they tried to deliver to you, but you weren't home even though you were home... Anyway, this specific UPS Store is really great. I've been twice so far & I've always been greeted with really nice employees. Always a smile on their face & really helpful when you have any questions. Need a box, tape, or a greetings card? No problem! They've got it! Located on Canton & Columbus, it's easy to just walk on up Canton to stop by to Trader Joe's after you drop off a package here. Although UPS is kind of expensive to ship some things, I've been able to trust them over any other mail carrier (besides USPS) so far. read more

$40. Forty dollars. That is how much it cost me to ship two small care packages to western MA. About $10 in supplies, $17 for one package and $12 for the other. That's right, almost $20 for one package alone. Although not on some remote dirty road 10 miles outside of town, there was a $5 surcharge for one of the addresses. I spent more money to ship two effing packages than I would have spent on gas to drive them myself. So why ding this location for prices not within their control? Because this is where I shipped from and the guy behind the counter was just this side of terrible. My original plan was to use the USPS. Shipping materials don't cost extra, the women behind the counter are super nice and I enjoy supporting a much needed, reliable, government program, especially one struggling this much. Unfortunately, the USPS closes at noon on Saturdays and I got there at about 12:02. "Ah well," I said to myself, "UPS is right down the street, I'll just go there." Big mistake. The guy came out of the back and greeted us upon entering. He asked what we needed and I said to ship two packages and that I'd need supplies since I had planned on using the USPS provided boxes. He asked how I wanted to do it, I said whatever would be least expensive/easiest. He replied that least expensive would be for me to buy the supplies and package everything up myself. Easiest would be for him to pack. I opted to pack them myself. The guy behind the counter measured the bags I was sending. I said that they were easy to shift around so the box didn't have to be the flat dimension of the bags. He got boxes that would fit the flat dimension of the bags. I bought tape. He asked if I needed a bag. I said that I would just pack them over on the side table. Apparently I could not pack my own packages in the store, he told me I had to take it home. Okay. Fine. I took them "home" to the park across the street. Packed everything up in the too big boxes, lots of tape and back to the store. I was again asked how I could be helped. Seriously, I was just in 5 minutes ago. I would like to mail these boxes I'm carrying. Shocking. Everything was weighed, labeled and sent to go on its way. Sad wannabe metal guy behind the counter was curt and only passably helpful the entire time if not the best listener. The prices were just unbelievable. And I will not be back. Logistics my ass. DO NOT USE THE UPS STORE ON COLUMBUS! I paid them to package my minisystem so that I could make sure it was packaged professionally and arrived safely. The service is called "Pack and Ship Guarantee." Since they pack the item, if it arrives broken, you get refunded for the value of the item (to a maximum of $100.) Well, the ministsystem arrived at the destination broken. They wrapped an electronic system in one layer of small bubble wrap. Now four months later, I am still waiting for the refund. I have gone to the store more than once and called a dozen times. They always take my name and number and say someone will call me back. So far no one has. I contacted UPS Corporate. After investigating the matter (it took them three days), they told the store had to refund me. So far UPS Corporate has contacted the store twice on my behalf, and yet the store has still not called me. UPS is a franchise. Not all of their stores are equal. And ultimately the brand seems to have almost no control of their franchises. If you are going to use UPS, at least avoid this store. read more

The UPS store has served three basic yet important purposes in my life. One, it's where I drop off ugly shoes I need to return to Zappos. Sometimes I can't find packing tape at home and the UPS guys pack up the box for me-score! Two, it's where I printed out the little driving direction cards that I inserted in my wedding invitations a few years ago. The UPS guys let me email the file directly to their store email so I could print the directions and photocopy them there--yay! And three, it's where my dog sometimes gets a cookie and rolls around on the carpet while waiting for me to take care of errand 1 or 2. Oh! And last but certainly not least, this UPS store has an uncanny way of being open whenever I need it. It's like they know I didn't get all of my errands done on Saturday and will need to come in on Sunday. My life is a little bit simpler because of this place. read more

This is the worst experience I had at a UPS store, or any other shipping facility, while trying to mail a package. I had an item that I needed to send but needed a box to send it in. It was a medium sized package. I was expecting to buy a medium sized box; however the UPS clerk wanted to charge me $23 to place the item in the box and tape it. I decided to buy the box myself but the clerk was reluctant to sell me the one for $7 (claiming that it was used for "moving", and wanted to up sell to a "more sturdy one, designed for shipping" that was twice the price. I left my laptop at TSA (my bad), and called immediately to confirm that they had it. The UPS store in boston got it and shipped it to me. So far so good, right? It got lost for weeks, no one seemed to know where it was so I filed a loss claim. And continued to wait. Then-it showed up. Broken. Some kind of liquid stains all over the box and the laptop did not turn on at all and could not charge. I spent three weeks trying to change the loss claim to a damage claim and filed all necessary paperwork. No one would close the loss claim and file the damage claim. I did not insure it properly(again, my bad). This all began in June. Yesterday I get an email from UPS store with the notification of a 210.00 check ready for me. I called and said, wait, what is that? Why was the loss claim processed for a delivered item and why did I get asked for a replacement value if you are going to deny it? The only laptop I can get for 200.00 is one without a battery. I spent the next three hours at 4 different UPS departments with NOT one single person willing to put customer service first. All they stated was "too bad you did not insure for more" We lost it, then we broke it, and sorry you are out of luck, we cannot and will not try to help you. Horrendous customer service from all 5 people I spoke with. Each one worse than the next with NO effort to assist me at all. Seriously, simply-too bad for you that you have been without a laptop since june. Hope the 200 bucks helps. I will never recommend UPS to anyone and never ship from them again, and it takes a lot to get me there. I would give no stars if I could. read more

Overall, these guys provide mediocre service--which would be mediocre in a normal retail sort of situation. For instance, on a Sunday morning they failed to open on time... because they were closed for the day, but didn't bother to put a sign up in the window. Irritating if you're there to send a package, but much worse if you use them for their virtual mailbox service (I use them as a package mailing address, so they had stuff I needed to pick up). They frequently neglect to give me all of my packages when I come in to pick them up, and were outright rude last time I was there, despite the fact that they had lost track of one of my packages. Overall this is the sort of service that would earn two or three stars, but since I have amazon ship packages to them, they have a bit more responsibility, and that means their performance earns them a lousy review. Ship packages from here if it's convenient, but don't use their virtual mailbox service, since they're just not reliable enough. read more
