The customer service is an absolute joke. Friday, 27 Feb, at 2:10pm or so, I go in with a bunch of Amazon returns...some needing boxes and labels and others placed into a plastic bag. I had boxes, preprinted labels and tape. Because I had this mix and so many, I thought it would be easier for me and the staff to sort it all out and process myself at the self-serve kiosk. I start and I need a large bag. I asked the older lady, I think Diane, and she passed one to me. She then says to place the packages on the counter once I'm done. As I start I needed more space. I turn to place a checked-in package on the counter but there are people moving about and the staff were assisting customers. Because I didn't want to leave my items unattended, I placed them in the self-serve kiosk bin. I'm moving right along when Diane comes over and looks in the bin. She said I thought I told you to place these on the counter. Nasty like. I said excuse me!? I needed the space and I didn't want to leave them unattended on the counter. You can retrieve them from the bin when I leave. She proceeds to argue with me and say that's not what the bin is for. I looked at her like she was crazy and said ma'am, pls leave me alone so I can be done. She then says something about that bin is only used when they are busy. I said again, a little louder, ma'am go about your business and leave me alone. You can get the packages as soon as I'm done. The younger lady tries to intervene at this point and tells Diane to leave me be. I said yes, pls leave me alone. A customer walks in so Diane goes back to the counter. After she's finished with the customer, I hear her ask the time and then she says she has 7 mins left. I continue on and a minute later, as I'm trying to figure out which home printed label goes with which item, I hear someone say excuse me. I look over and it was Diane, asking me to move so she can get my packages out of the bin. I said ma'am, you can get them all when I'm done. She said no, you're going to move. At this point I'm heated, I said you need to back up (cause she's right up on me). You would want to back up. The younger lady again tried to intervene and tells Diane to leave me alone and let me finish. It's fine. Diane said no, she's not leaving the packages for the next shift. The younger lady then says to leave me alone cause I'm causing a fuss. I said I'm causing a problem!? Are you kidding me! She quickly backtracks and says that both of us are. I'm being harassed and attempted intimidation at the self-serve kiosk and I'm causing a problem. At this point I stopped talking and didn't budge from my spot. Diane goes back to the counter, talking all the way and younger lady is agreeing with her. I finish and proceed to leave and the younger lady gives me a condescending have a nice day. I don't reply. If this is UPS' idea of customer service, holy crap. Absolutely ridiculous. read more

Very disappointing experience on 2/8/2026 with an employee. Achielle, was extremely passive-aggressive, demonstrated poor customer service, and ultimately refused to assist with my return--telling me to "do it myself" while simultaneously pointing to the self-service kiosk. I visit this location frequently and have never experienced anything like this before (here or anywhere else for that matter). My one star review is not indicative of the store overall, but, moreso specific to the employee. Achielle's, behavior was grossly unprofessional and unacceptable. read more

There's one person that works there, that's just plain ole nasty and makes it seems like you are bothering her when you ask her a question.

This UPS store was efficient and quick and those are things that you cannot beat during these times. It appears that they have two entries, one in the front of the store and one in the back. Since this was my first time there, I did not know this. I parked in the back, which had more parking, but per the sign, you needed to enter around the corner in the front. What I will say is that there really isn't too much space to safely socially distance with the way that they have the line snaked around. However, you always have the option of waiting outside, or stepping back. I dropped off my item and off I went. No worries here despite the prior poor reviews. read more

India is the person who gave me the hardest time. I returned a knee scooter without the box because the Bowie store always says they don't except original boxes, they normally take care of packages items and returning to Amazon. Well Brandywine away closer yo my job, so I dropped the scooter off there. There was a young lady who was extremely helpful. Wish I had her name, but she tried putting the scorer in two separate boxes but suggested I bring the original box back and they would pkg and send it back. The next day I came to the store, a young man came out, very polite and helped with the box because I am on crutches. Drove off, before I left the parking lot, I get a call from India stating I need to come back and pack this item myself because it's not her job to put it back in the original box. I explained the situation and she said we are a franchise, maybe Bowie does it differently, but we don't package anything. I reported this to Amazon and will not be returning to this location again. The store is fine, that notary they have...IDIOT. I went in today to get something notorized. After waiting 15 minutes I laid out my documents and showed her the witness pages and the page for her to sign. Clearly written on the document was that my witnesses didn't have to be present. This chucklehead says no, they have to be here. I said, ok can I reprint and have two people here witness? She says no because if we got called into court we'd have to close the store down....really lady... WASTE OF TIME.... read more

Epic waste of time to ever come here. Every time I come to drop off an Amazon return or drop off a prepaid package, the owner/operator lady helps customers in the slowest manner possible. They don't have any self service kiosks, don't open until 10am, and always have a VERY LONG LINE! Almost always only a single employee there working. Avoid this location at all costs! In fact, there is a very nice alternative just up the road off Allentown Road. read more

This UPS Store put the "S" in service! Every single time I need to go in there for something - shipping, returns of mail orders, etc. They are so kind and helpful. Today, I desperately needed notary services and they did not disappoint. The owner took her time and made sure everything was done right. I love knowing that at least with all things UPS store related, I can count on this location to provide me with the support I need. read more

I am shocked that this place basically has 5 stars across the board. I sure wish I had received that level of service. Instead, I received a poor attitude from the man who was working up front. He sees me come inside, then continues to the back without acknowledging me. Then when he comes out front, he does not say a word. No "hello"... no "how can I help you?"... no "how are you?" Nothing. Just picks up my box, takes it to another station to scan it, then throws it a pile of other boxes. He then rolls his eyes when I show him I have a barcode to scan for another one my items. I guess he was annoyed that I had another item, but we'll never know since he never once opened his mouth. Cat must've had his tongue that night. Just overall terrible customer service. read more

The owner is thorough and great at supplying the needs of the consumer. The issue is she needs staff. I don't know why it's always only her or one other person but it can take up to 30-45 mins in line because it's just her. I just came here to pick up a few bundles of boxes and some other assorted packing materials for my upcoming move to Miami, FL. Their prices were much better than what was available at Home Depot, Lowes, and Uhaul. The lady there was extremely helpful in helping me decide what boxes I would need for different types of TVs, mirrors, and other breakables i was worried about shipping. Being in the customer service industry myself, the quality of customer service was up to par with how I was trained to handle customers as well. read more

First of all let me say I ship things often & omg this is seriously the best UPS I've ever been too ! I pretty much know the manager there because I'm always mailing stuff back to Amazon (lol) ! All of staff is polite - well trained & alway friendly & helpful ! Best customer service hands down !! They even have a notary readily available ... The store is always well stocked / neat & organized ! I've gone to other UPS stores in bowie & in Annapolis & they were horrible !! I prefer to go where they treat u like u actually matter as a customer ! Idk if they can win some kind of "best most awesome UPS STORE " award but they should get some recognition for a job VERY WELL DONE!! I have been using this store for several years. I have not had to worry about a package when sending from this store. I mail a lot to my son in college out of state and it's always received on time and in good shape and with email confirmation. Rhonda is always pleasant and will do everything she can do to provide excellent service. read more

I was waiting out in the cold with my items that I wanted to ship. The store opened 10-15 minutes late and there was only one associate available to assist customers. I ended up leaving without shipping my packages, because I was going to be late for work waiting for that one late associate to process a passport transaction before she could assist anyone else that had been waiting in line. read more

If I could give this UPS Store 6 stars, I would do so without hesitation. I was promptly greeted and assisted by a friendly, knowledgeable professional who clearly knew way more than I did about how to best package the item that I needed to ship. As she packed the item, she was able to talk to me, wait on other customers and get me out the door in a timely fashion. While I've had the experience of being told that I needed a bigger box, more packing material OR not been given a range of shipping options at other stores, that was not the case here. My customer services rep did a great job packing my item and made sure that the box was appropriate. I feel like I made a friend, that's how good the service was! Skip all other UPS stores and hit this one! Did I mention that the store was immaculate, offers a range of business solutions and GAVE me a free gift! Overall, a great experience! read more
