For example, i needed 1 more piece across and they charged me a few bucks. I understand if they had to package an entire box. But for 1 piece? Honestly, I've really tried to be patient and understanding as things got really hairy with shipping and returns during Covid, but three years later there are still lines out the door. No issues ever with packages at this store, but UPS needs to give their employees good working air conditioner or fans at the very least. It's amazing the employees here don't lose their cool with systems not working properly, long lines, and being so hot inside. I always use this UPS location to mail any and all packages. It's about as good as it gets for a small, neighborhood Mail center. It's not the prettiest (and climbing the few stairs when I have a really heavy box isn't the most convenient), but the personnel has always been nice and as efficient as possible. Last time I went, the delivery driver was about to pull away but stopped, helped me with my box up the stairs, and waited for me to get checked out! I entered this store on the worst day of my life. I needed to print out and notarize both divorce paperwork and a severance contract and some copies of my resume. After printing my resume in color, I go to print the divorce paperwork. I realize after I hit print that I didn't change the setting to black and white. I hit cancel. The computer stalls. It prints all 25 pages of a black and white contract as color, charging me nearly $15 extra. They refused to refund me because one of the pages had a blue hyperlink on it. I show him both my severance and divorce paperwork and asked if he could please cut me some slack because the $15 wasn't something I could afford. He refused again and said they wouldn't refund for user error. I called the UPS corporate office who agreed to file a complaint, but they warned me the person who helped me shared the last name of the owner of the store. read more

I have only had good experiences with this UPS store. I notice that their rating is low, and thought I would add my experiences just because their current rating doesn't match my experience. The staff are always friendly. They seem a little overwhelmed at times by the traffic in the store, but they always greet me with a smile and get to my packages without too much delay. Monday: I walk in to mail urgent paperwork overnight to my sister. The transaction is completed with no apparent issues. Scheduled arrival time is Tuesday by noon for $22. Tuesday: The overnight envelope does not arrive. I track the package at night, it says it went to the UPS destination near my sister, but was not delivered. Wednesday 10 a.m.: I call this UPS Store where it left from. "Oh, I will check into it and call you back. Is this your number? OK, I will call you back in ten minutes." Wednesday 3 p.m.: I call this UPS Store again. "Oh, what's the tracking number again? OK, I will check into it and call you back. Yes, you will get refunded, but there is a process." Wednesday 9 p.m.: Still no return call from this store and no delivery made, confirmed or any information given on where the hell the envelope is. It is now 33 hours late and cost $22 to send. This place has saved me dozens of hours of work and they are great. First, everyone I've met who is employed there is great. I often call-in to ask mail be forwarded to a different location for a week or two and they handle it in about 2 minutes. I am not aware that any mail has every been lost or misdirected from the UPS Store. Meanwhile, we had a PO Box at the 11201 Post Office (zip code 11202) and half our mail seemed to be randomly returned to sender. This store is worth every penny and you'll be impressed by the service and their attention to detail. I love it. read more

I was hesitant to use this location because of the reviews on Yelp. I'm glad I went with my instinct! This shipping office went above and beyond for me without any prompting on my part. They were very friendly and professional when I initially contacted them, but the icing on the cake was when they contacted me and even sent a photo of my painting to make sure it was the right one because the lady at the pickup location (I'm in Texas and needed a painting picked up, packaged and shipped from Brooklyn Heights) wasn't sure she was giving them the right one. Then the final price was even less than originally quoted. Nice! I just want to say that my instinct paid off. Olivier and Brian did a fabulous job of providing top notch service! I was cutting it really close to a deadline -- got to the store AFTER the truck was scheduled to leave with the ground shipments for the day. I had called ahead to see if they could hold the truck -- I really needed my box to leave with it -- the employees and driver were incredibly gracious and patient with me, got the forms filled out and helped me finish taping up the box in time for the driver to grab it and take it with him on the truck (35 minutes after he was scheduled to leave!!!). I would've been completely screwed if they hadn't been so nice -- in NYC, it's often every man for himself, especially when it comes to the shipping world -- because everyone's got a deadline, and they can't accomodate everyone. I read about your store not following the opening time as advertised. Today I called at 10.20 am(Saturday) and sure enough no one was there to pick up the phone and I am assuming no one was there. I could have brought my item and have to wait. My advice to the store manager is that he should change the opening hour to a time they can keep. It is strictly unprofessional to advertised the opening time and not following it. It is very inconvenient having to carry back or wait for your store to open even though one arrived at store opening hour as was advertised.
