I need to send a letter internationally to Switzerland. I first went to USPS and it was incredible how complicated their process was and also unclear what would happen to my letter. It also included a $30 fee that the receiver of my letter was going to have to pay. Since the receiver was a business I decided to find another way to send. That's when I discovered cobble mail. I went there and they made it super easy to send the letter. They were very knowledgeable about the delivery process. Not only that but they were efficient and friendly. My God, everyone at the store is absolutely incredible. They were so helpful with everything that I needed. I don't live in New York City, I'm in visiting and needed to receive a one-off package here. I told them it was important and urgent and they went above and beyond to make sure I know that I received it. When he wasn't able to reach me that day, he called me until he was able to reach me and emailed me too. Absolutely incredible service, they really care. When I went to the store to receive the package, everyone was so helpful. Raced over at the very last minute on a Friday evening for a time-sensitive print job and they greeted us with smiles -- no hint of rushing us -- printing a sample page to vet without prompting, had helpful suggestions to improve quality and the job came out great. I've been using Cobble Mail's services for a few years and have always been satisfied. For printing, faxing, shipping needs and more, this neighborhood business is not only convenient but those who work here are always willing to help. Omar, on almost every visit, has assisted me with questions or actually faxing/scanning my documents. Some would argue their prices are a bit higher than the post office and maybe that is true, but if you need to address something quickly, I always find myself dropping in. So I apologize this is so late in the writing, however, I wanted to give 5 GIANT STARS to Omar at Cobble Mailing! In October, we had just returned from London on the Queen Mary 2 and needed to find somewhere to post some of our luggage home to Seattle via Fedex ground. We had quite a bit including all of our cruise attire and lugging it through NYC for another five days would have been very cumbersome. We arrived there ten minutes via UBER after disembarking the ship, with no notice and enough personal stuff to last a month! The owner did not blink an eye, set us up in the back of the store where we could sort through things, print our labels and he even went to far as to delicately pack my 25th vow renewal flowers in a special box so it would make it back to Seattle!!! Way above and beyond the call of duty! I think we spent over an hour in there and he was the only one on duty. He maintained business as usual plus took care of us!!! Thank you is not enough to say about what a wonderful small business this is. Next time we do a Transatlantic Cruise into Brooklyn, he will be our first stop off the ship. The most helpful shipment service I have ever encountered, with top notch service. Best of all, I can trust that the work gets done properly even if I'm not there to oversee the entire process. The best place to go and mail something in the Carroll Gardens area without having to deal with the horrible post office in Red Hook. This place also sells mailing/ school supplies, cell phones, accessories and random used DVDs. Faxing is also available. Note: As with most mailing centers, they seem to charge a bit more for mailing packages. Make sure to tell them you want the inexpensive route! Also, they charge $2 if you are dropping off pre-paid parcels. read more

Guy who runs the place is not friendly. The place is overpriced...way overpriced. A book of stamps is face value plus $2.50. Mailing a package is twice the price of the post office. You can go here if your husband works for a hedge fund. But the rest of us humans have to walk to a post office. read more

I decided to try this place after Staples didn't have the size box I needed for the second time, and I waited forever at the post office. It was great. I went in with the things I needed mailed and nothing else. Within about 5 minutes, they were packaged, bubble wrap was placed inside, I had paid and was out the door. I assume I would have saved a couple of bucks if I had packaged it myself, but it was such a simple and speedy process it was worth the couple extra dollars.
