Went there today to ship an item and as soon as I walked in I felt an "odd" vibe from the female and male working there. I have never posted a yelp review, however today I felt like this UPS store needs to understand you can't be rude to customers and expect "customers" to return. Wow! Where do I start?? I also spoke with a man with a foreign accent who was extremely rude and arrogant. I asked a question and he hung up on me. Amazon sent me a broken item and gave me a choice to have it picked up by UPS so I thought, why not, saves me time! They were supposed to pick up the next day but two days later they still had not picked up and my item was outside so I brought it inside thinking they forgot about me and of course they show up the same day I brought it inside! Ugh! Of course they also left me a "we missed you" slip. I then try to schedule another pick up via their 800 number to no success so I figure I better go look for a drop off. To my surprise and to make me feel like an idiot - I had no "shipping label" because the item was supposed to be picked up. I swear I've returned items 10000s of times and I didnt understand what's the difference this time! Lol. Well, Jeanette, at this store was so patient and helpful with me. She said you have to cancel the pick up request but that was not clear on my Amazon account. She let me log onto their computer and she walked me through the steps and "held my hand" when we had to cancel the "return request" because I thought that somehow I would not get my $35 back from Amazon! Lol. Now it made sense! We had to cancel the "kind of request" I had made to then request a new return via a different method!! Oy!!! She then printed the label and helped me secure my package. Visiting from Texas went in to price boxes. Tall foreign man asked if he could help me. I asked for a price list of boxes he reluctantly handed me a price list. I found the size I needed and discovered immediately that the prices were too high. I placed the price list on the counter and left. I was nearly to my car and he came out a back door asking me for his price list I said I left it inside he said are you sure? I said I am positive have you even looked?! He said he had not looked. Then he mumbled something under his breath. He and my husband who thankfully was with me had words! He is clearly anti women and discriminates openly by accusing of theft! I was here to do a variety of tasks including several notaries and shipping my loan papers out. They did it efficiently and very fast.

They have no quality control here! They routed my package back to me and the very rude attendant refused to help other than to tell me I could call corporate for help. Avoid this location! It's worth driving to the Oxnard store on Gonzales where they nicely fixed the problem caused by this store in five minutes. read more

I can see why they get bad reviews. UPS said my package was here so I came by to pick it up. I came in and said "Hi, I'm here to pick up a package" and was about to hand my ID, before I could the rude man behind the counter asked my name and when I told him, he said they had nothing there started telling me to call UPS before showing up (like I'm dumb or was barging into some exclusive party uninvited). When I said "ok, I'm sorry" and was leaving - he had nerve to tell me to not say sorry and that I should relax. I should relax? I called this UPS Store today with questions about delivering on Veterans Day, and sending a package. The person who picked up the phone sounded very rude. He proceeded to hang up on me, saying that he was very busy. This call was logged into my cell phone for lasting exactly one minute. I felt extremely disrespected, so I decided to call back to voice my opinion about his lack of professionalism and respect for his customers. The man who claims he is the manager of this store seems to be on a high horse and does not think he needs to treat people with dignity and respect. I have recently found out that since all the UPS Stores are privately owned, they can accept or do whatever they want--not necessarily along the guidelines of UPS, itself. I have a business and need to ship pre-paid boxes, UPS. So I took my pre-paid boxes into this store, and at first they are amiable, then they realize that I will be coming regularly. So they started asking me to lift my own boxes up onto their scale from the cart (that I borrowed from them), even though the owner is a very large man, and I am a very small woman. There is no customer service there. They owner told me, flatly, that he does not have to accept the pre-paid UPS boxes. Very rude. read more

Today I visited this business to overnight a document. The woman in front of me in line approached the owner, a tall south Asian man, with a pre-addressed package and asked to send it. He snapped at her to take it to the post office. Apparently, the shipper was USPS, not UPS. Confused, she told him that she had been to the post office, which had sent her to UPS. He erupted at her. "Not my problem, get out of here." He was so nasty that everyone in the store froze. The poor woman didn't know what to do. I told him he should not treat people this way. He told me to mind my own business. I replied that when he abuses someone who he perceives as weaker than he is, it's everybody's business. He tried to shout me down, but backed off when he realized he had lost control of himself and wasn't going to intimidate me. Bottom line: This guy is a bully and gets his jollies from shouting at less assertive people. His business should be shunned. read more

Really my rating is 0 stars! The owner of this store is so very rude I will never return! His wife is lovely and very helpful but not often there. The owner is not only rude but obviously has a very bad attitude when dealing with women. I witnessed it one day and was the recipient of his negative treatment on my next visit. He has no idea of the importance of treating customers with respect and good customer service, especially in a small town where there are other options for UPS service. The girl who works there during the day has NO IDEA what decent customer service is. She attempted to trick me into paying for product that was complete SHIT (tape) by adding it into the total after telling her I would not pay for product that wouldn't work SO, with that being said, for a $3.95 product THAT WAS HORRIBLE, she lost a $50 shipping sale. NEVER GO HERE. The owner (the tall Indian man) is one of the rudest people I have met. I went in with a box and needed tape to help tape it shut, the owner became rude with his words and stated it should be taped shut before I come to the store, I informed him I always use the tape at other UPS stores as that is what the staff are there for....TO ASSIST CUSTOMERS, he said not at his store. I told him to give me back my box and walked out. I went to the UPS store on Verdugo Way where they are always happy to assist. Negative 5 stars on this store.
