Went there for the TSA preCheck appointment. The process required a pre registration and submission of completed form. It took less than 5 minutes filling up the form, and another few minutes to see which place, mostly Staples, to set up for appointment. I chose the Staples center in Camarillo, CA. Upon arrival at appointment time, the service provider was very patient and friendly. Within five minutes, I was fingerprinted, photographed, paid the fee and done. Excellent! My TSA PreCheck was approved the following day! Total cost was around $76 USD and it would expired in 5 years. I definitely recommend if you are a frequent traveler. read more

I came in because I had decided on a specific gaming chair and this was the closest store that offered it in the red color I wanted. I ended up buying the model on the floor, and it barely fit in my car, but it was fine. I got what I wanted and the staff was helpful. I've also stopped here for highlighters, stationary and small gifts for friends. It's a pretty sizeable store, clean and well stocked. I wanted to say something about Dannielle and Jessica in your print department. I've worked with both of them for years, and I usually just assume things will be handled because they're there. They're efficient, they figure things out, and they don't make a production out of it. It just gets done, and it gets done right. But the reason I'm writing is something more specific. When my father passed away, I came in to print booklets and posters for the funeral. I was not in a state to manage details or even explain properly what I needed. I left things out, I was scattered, and I honestly don't even remember everything I said. Between the two of them, they picked up on what was missing and just handled it. They made decisions where I couldn't, fixed what I hadn't thought through, and made sure everything came together the way it needed to. While browsing for a new desk chair, I noticed that the chairs that were being sold for $300+ were very used and had obviously been returned by customers then resold. Many of the chairs were in poor condition and had visible grime/stains on them. I went to Staples to have some printing done. Jessica was there to help again. I had a knee replacement done and couldn't stand. She helped by bringing over a bench so I could sit down. She went over everything I needed. Had me sign up for the Staples app to earn rewards. Even went out of her way to go pick out some folders for me so I didn't have to walk. I decided to come to this staples in Camarillo early Saturday 7.5.25 to make my amazon return and get some office/school supplies. I decided to make my Amazon return first to free my hands then go back and do my shopping. I got in line first with one item to return then a Second Lady came (with staples merchandise - a handful 5-6items) and a third one with Amazon box. Staples staff came to the counter and asked the lady behind me to come forward. Lady behind me told the cashier I'm ahead of her but staples cashier insisted she should go first. The second customer and I were confused why she is being asked to jump ahead of me. Staple cashier went even further by asking me if I have a problem. I was caught off guard with what the staple cashier asked/told me (and I was still trying to make sense why I was skipped). Finally another staple cashier came up and helped me and I asked if staples customer gets priority over Amazon return customers because if it is then I want to maybe make my returns at another place like UPS or Whole Foods etc. Staple cashier #2 said no (quietly). At this point I was annoyed I was skipped for no clear good reason. We all have things to do so I don't think my time is less important than the person behind me. It was hard to not be insulted by Staple cashier #1. When I got to my car I called the store to speak with a supervisor or manager and duty. Staple cashier #1 answered and said she is the supervisor on duty. I politely asked for another supervisor or manager. She placed me on hold and I was transferred to staple cashier #2. I was told staple cashier 1 and 2 are both supervisor on duty and no manager. When I told cashier #2 what happened he said he is sorry I am upset I was helped after all. I told him that was not the point. I was first in line and my time is equally important as the second customer. This left a bitter taste in my mouth. I even thought of getting my supplies at staples (than Walmart or Amazon), bring business to Staples so hopefully it doesn't go under like other big stores like JOAnns but obviously these cashiers don't care if they have a job or not. I came in to make a few photo copies for the Mister for a upcoming event. If you have not been to staples in a while they require a $5.00 pre approval on your credit/ATM. Gone are the days using your good word to pay for copies. Let me tell you....I was struggling to make copies by altering the light/dark factor. Why? Not because of me but because of his crazy graphics he insists on using. When you turn a color orginaI and turn it black and white it becomes a true test. So I made a lot of rejects. The kind lady behind the counter offered to help me. Sure why not. She made me 30 copies on her high resolution machine. When I asked her where to pay, she replied not to worry since I already wasted my time on the self serve machine. Her words were "I am happy to of assisted you" How cool is that? I purchased an office chair today at the Camarillo Staples store. I cannot remember the associates name that helped me but on the receipt he is # 2022785. I just wanted to say that his Customer service was by far the best I have experienced in a long time from any retail establishment. He was very genuine, extremely helpful and thorough. He explained everything in detail and exceeded my expectations. The chair was assembled for me and loaded in my car for me. I left the store fully informed about the product I purchased, the warranty and who and how to call and generate a warranty claim in the event something fails on the chair. After not being very happy with the print quality and pricing at kinkos for my quick printing needs, I went to staples and was so glad that I did. The person that helped me was Jeremy, he was so sweet and so helpful, a breath of fresh air! When he told me there were 3 print jobs ahead of me and the wait would be more than an hour, he offered to load up a self serve printer with my choice of paper and he would watch it while I shopped!!!!! By the time I got back to the counter with other things that I shopped for, Jeremy had boxed up my print job and had it waiting for me, and charged the self serve price. Service really doesn't get any better than this, and I have shopped here plenty of times in the past but NEVER was treated so well, Jeremy you are my hero! read more

I want give kudos to Mike & George for their excellent customer service and great problem solving skills. They went above and beyond and very attentive. I came into their store near to closing and was absolutely frustrated. Their sister store on Esplanade wasted my time and energy trying to complete a simple printing job, several copies of 8x14. They not only completed the job, but took less then 15 minutes. They apologize about the other locations misrepresentation and printed my copies at no charge. The worst customer service ever! It took them over 5 months to just make custom made receipts for our office. First time, after 3 months of placing the order, they printed them under wrong address, then the 2nd time they printed the wrong size. I talked to 4 different managers , no one wanted to take responsibility and they were all blaming it at each other! None of them had an intention of taking care of the issue! After 5 months they finally had it ready. They didn't even apologize for it and wanted to charge me for the two times that they printed them wrong. Customer service is not the name on the building, but the person delivering it! Today I bought a high quality printer, MSRP of $600 for only $400. The manager was perfectly happy to price match to the printed ad I brought in. I confirmed the price by phone and that the product was in stock. I used to think of Staples pricing as "retail +10%" but with today's experience I can't wait to get my next tech supplies from them. Maybe the high price was just the Moorpark store (now closed and gone). They are willing to match or beat up to 110% up to 30 calendar days after purchase. I also normally go here for their Black Friday specials as this store has NO lines (maybe I shouldn't review this location, lmao) and I can usually walk in and out with bags and bags of deals. Why 2 stars? Their customer service could be better and they need to do some major restocking. I came in one day, searching for two specific items. The workers that helped me out had great intention but truthfully speaking, they were not very good at their jobs. I got so many "if it's not there, we don't sell it" excuses - which honestly came off as lazy - but I know for a fact that they do sell those items because 1) I've bought it there before and 2) my friend had JUST bought those items earlier that day. If my friend helped me more via text than the workers there, that's a problem, am I right? No one bothered to do stock checks, or go out of their way to check the back...only until I mentioned it, they attempted. In the end, I found the items on my own. Woopdeedoo. The people that work there were kind and had a welcoming face -- I'll give them that. But when it actually came to helping a customer, not much help was ever given. Never again. I walked in here with, what I thought, was a simple job. 5 pictures printed 8X10. I walked up to the print center and began to wait. There was only 3 people working in the store and about 15 customers so I expected a bit of a wait. After about 5 minutes another employee walked over and offered to help me. I gave him my flash drive, with the one JPEG and told him what I needed. He seemed to comprehend so I told him I was going to grab some tape and I would be right back. Now, I've had jobs printed at other office supply stores so I KNOW this only takes them loading the image and hitting print. I was fully expecting to get back with my tape and check out. I get back to the counter and to my surprise the guy is now helping someone else! I thought to myself this was strange but maybe he was just helping them while waiting for me to get back. So i wait. He takes about 5 minutes helping her and then turns to ANOTHER customer. Like WTF. Now I'm pissed. So this job takes another 10 minutes. My turn again and guess what, he hasn't even started the damn job. HASNT EVEN STARTED IT. so he saunters over, feeds me some BS on how the printer is "giving him problems" and starts the job. Less than a minute later the pictures are printed, like magic!! BUT guess what? the printer IS messed up, not that it wouldn't print but that it left GIANT scratches all down my picture. The guy tried reprinting them, and same thing. He let me keep the best ones and didnt charge me but they are useless, I can't even use them. As I'm leaving the store I realized they're also not even 8X10. Last time I will visit a Staples and the thing I'm most pissed about is that I gave them $3 of my money for the tape. read more

I am an Excel idiot. I needed help printing labels from an Excel spreadsheet. I called Staples Camarillo, and they told me to bring it in. I was lucky enough to have associate, Tom greet me. I can't describe what happened next except to say Tom was a gift. He understood what I needed, asked a few questions, then proceeded to accomplish what I had struggled over for nights. I went in yesterday to have 2000 business cards reprinted. I waited for my turn , the customer ahead of me was handed her packages and walked away , only to return twice to interrupt my turn, at one point without even acknowledging me the clerk walked away , at minimum she needed to offer an explanation or ask the lady to wait one minute as I had done when she was being served. Well. They could not locate the previous orders and wanted to see a business card, I'm out if I'm in for a reprint. Come back in later with a sample card , Oh, I'm sorry this was printed by our specialty paper card vendor and we don't use them anymore,We'll have to start over. I'll guess the vendor quit them not the other way around. It was an hour long process last time, it's 4:45 pm. How about I leave this card and we go over the 4 names I need on the phone . I'm not sure we do that. O.K. maybe you can make me a signature stamp ? The one I had made here is going bad . Sure , we can do that , just not now the machine is broken and is not available . Can I just go to another office supply store ? maybe they have the services I need and can keep records of my purchases for reordering later ? That way you won't need to deal with customers at all , We can all order paper and ink on Amazon , because the one thing you can offer in a Brick and Mortar location is personalized face to face customer service , If you can't offer that why are the lights on in here?
