UPS store, in Chapin beside Food Lion. The interior layout has just recently changed but all the copiers are still there in different spots. The advantage of shipping here versus the post office is the hours open and short lines. The negatives are higher shipping prices, and this store has not greatest customer service. The employees are competent but I have witnessed poor customer interaction in person. I was in line checking out, the employee got phone call, said hold. You could hear the customer on line ask "I just want to know if you are open today ", the employee said in front of me "I said what I said" then preceded to place her on hold. Of note, he never made any attempt to get back to her call. It was crazy seeing this interaction but maybe this is normal. I have used this store in past for Notary public but there is a charge per notary seal. This can be done free at certain libraries or your bank. read more

I use this store for personal and business needs. Top notch service every single time. The manager is community focused, and it flows down to the staff. My requests are always completed in a timely manner, and professionally done. This has included graphical signs for outside my place of business, and laminated papers for my home and office. I use this store periodically but I had a fantastic experience this week when shipping electronics from an EBAY sale. From the start I was met by Jamaree Batiste at the door to help unload this heavy equipment. He then went far behind the call to duty to help me decide the best way to ship this equipment to my buyer. He carefully packed all the electronics into two boxes while helping me figure out the most economical way to ship them. I was extremely pleased with the service I received from Jamaree and highly recommend this UPS store. read more

LET THE BUYER BE WARE! I seldom have to ship anything, so I was easily conned by the workers at this location who are actually some acquaintance of my wife and I. I used UPS to send a Mothers Day gift. UPS sent my package via USPS (unbeknownst to me at the time of transaction) Express Mail. UPS up charges unknowing customers a 218% over the cost of going a 1/4 mile to the Chapin Post Office. My package never made it to my Mother in time and it is currently lost and UPS is telling me it is between me and USPS. I am livid about Terry (UPS Employee) for not making me aware of the way UPS Store intended to ship my package UPS NOT GIVING ME THE $35 REFUND. This is far from over! read more

I went to mail a package last week. I pulled on the front door and it was locked. I looked at sign to check hours. They were open. I pulled again, then I noticed a middle aged woman, maybe the owner, inside the window, looking at me like I'm stupid, and motioning with her hand to move a handle up and down. I look and there is a handle above the other handle with a key pad. I didn't notice it at first. So, I pull down handle to unlock and go in. The lady then shakes her head, looks over at the young man behind the counter, and then exchange glances, and she turns her back on me. Never says, "hello", "welcome to the store", "sorry about the confusion over the door", nothing. She keeps walking into the back room. Never looks at me. I try to make conversation with the young man (who is still chuckling at the secret shared with the lady, and he points to the scale to put my package on so I do as I am motioned to do so. I say, "I thought maybe it was like at the bank where they have to buzz you in". Looks at me, blankly, like I'm stupid. Never says a word, except here's your receipt. Not, "hello", "how can I help you", "how's your day", "have a nice day", nothing. The customer service at this store is horrible. I have been there many times and it's always the same. It's really sad because I was having a really rough day. I was upset because my 23 year old son died 2 months ago in our pool and I was thinking of how he used to always go with me when I had to ship a package. It was very hard to go in there by myself anyway since I was used to having him with me and I could have used a little common courtesy and kindness, just a little, but instead, I left feeling worse. I was treated like I was not only stupid, but an inconvenience. If you don't want customers, then don't tell them through the glass how to unlock the "special" door. You never know what someone is going through. I treated you both with kindness and respect. I wish I could say you did the same for me, but you did not. Thanks for nothing. read more
