I told him what I needed, showed him the QR code and he tells me he cannot help me because he's never scanned a QR code for a label and tried to walk away, but I stopped him. I told him I could also bring up a bar code, but he stares at me like I'm an idiot. Luckily, this other gentleman, Michael was working and overheard me explaining. He immediately come over with a smile and was able to help me. He walked me though each step so that I knew how to do it if I were to need to do this again. He was friendly, respectful, caring and kind. I wish more people in the workforce were like Michael!! It's unfortunate that it now rare to come across workers who work hard, know their role, are there to help others and enjoy helping people. The unenthused guy who answered the phone was quick to say that without any customers in the last 30 minutes, his manager instructed him to "close the store right at 7 because of Christmas tomorrow". I gently reminded him that it was only the 23rd, that I was really hoping to get my package out tonight and would be so appreciative, though it was obvious the guy had no intention of sticking around to help me. As I walk up at exactly 7:00p, a woman proceeds to lock door in front of me. In fact, it was may have even been just before 7p as you can see on my watch that by 7:00, not only was the door locked, but security gate inside the store was already closed. I was speechless. As bad as we needed a shipping store out here, I will not be back if this is what we can expect in terms of customer service and support. What a Grinch!
