Are you kidding me?!? How is ripping people off morally ok?! I go to my local UPS store in Concord and they are amazing and honest people. I have been sending packages UPS Ground from that location for over 8 years. I send over 30+ packages a year. I know in general how much it should cost to pack and ship items with all kinds of sizes and weights. In this instance, I asked my employee to send a package for me and told her it should be no more than $15 to ship a 2lb box UPS Ground. She went to this Citrus Heights location asked to ship items UPS Ground (no miscommunication - easy straight forward instructions). She sends me a receipt for $38! The box weighed 2 lbs and it was UPS Ground to a City 40 miles away. They used a "used" box to pack the item in (not even their own UPS box) or packaging, which would have made the price jump to maybe $17, but instead charged $38! $25 to ship and $12 to use a used worn down box with no packing material inside! This should have cost no more than $15 so I was over charged $23!! Buyer/Shipper beware of this location. read more

I went to ship a package to Amazon and was unable to do it because it was a multiple boxes and only one barcode as I walked out the lady said Something which I didn't understand and now I am unable to ship the packets through 4 different UPS stores and I've wasted hours of my time. Owner since says it was nothing employee did when in fact it was the employees fault since they created a shipping lable i had go 4 different ones and non could ship them. Very disorganized store. I came here today to have a document notarized. There were several customers waiting and only 2 guys behind the counter. No semblance of order, they just asked who was next and whether you were or weren't didn't seem to matter. There were a couple who had obviously been waiting awhile, walked out in anger. The counter guys seemed overworked and really tired. Don't go here if you don't have all day. Parking minimal and narrow at best and shared with two other businesses. Dropped off few prepaid packages and 2 days later come back to drop off more packages and found that my package still sitting on the floor and they didn't ship them yet. Really? Nice people working behind the counter. If you sign up for that feature, they email you when a package arrives (might be a short delay, but the last couple of notices have been very prompt). My only real complaint is that when I call (not often) the phone is not answered. it just rings and rings and eventually goes to voice mail. But latest visits suggest that they might have added staff, which could help with that. The parking lot is very small and awkward. The adjacent one to the north is no longer available. I understand that some of the other reviews here may have had valid complaints, but MY experience this morning in this UPS store was GREAT. Alex was taking care of the counter, and she helped the customers with professionalism and a big smile. I waited in line a very short time, and the woman in front of me had some issues but Alex was able to help her and clear them up in a friendly, helpful way, explaining everything calmly and again, with a smile. Yech! Read the other reviews. There's a reason this store has low ratings. I needed to have my fingerprints taken on paper cards, not the live scan method. They wanted to charge me $26 per card! That's apparently the live scan price, but the paper method should be a lot less. In fact I had the prints done at another UPS store for a total of $20 for two cards. I absolutely adore Alex! She is so helpful and professional. My mailbox key hasn't worked properly for two years(-I probably check it twice a year if that) and she has never hesitated to help me when she sees me struggling! We always share a good laugh afterwards! However, after renewing my mailbox for another year, we decided to finally fix the key. I did my notary there. The guy made a mistake on dates, which i found later when got home. One date was correct, but another was wrong by a whole month. I decided to go there next time i need notary services to save a trip. The guy corrected his mistake, and did my second job for free, to compensate for the first mistake. That was nice! This is a very busy store but often I have found the people working in the store truly care about me and my business. I had to leave a positive review after I read the reviews from the 1% ers and realize they are just kooky people and not the norm. This location does all the LiveScan fingerprinting in the area for Ca DOJ and Notary services. I have recently used them to UPS Freight a large heavy engine that can not be shipped through regular UPS and have found this location is the only locally owned UPS Store that will do freight and crating. read more

I paid to next day air my package at this store. My package not only took 2 days to get to the destination (a day late, which affected a sale), the store manager told me "it sounds like you are trying to get something for free" when I called the store to ask for a refund of the extra 40$ I spent to get it there over night. (My total was 88$). I was appalled at the way this manager spoke to me. I have been trying to get a refund for one and one half months, and no one ever calls me back. VERY poor customer service, and no follow through on what they say you are paying for. DO NOT SHIP HERE, I feel like I was lied to and talked into paying extra for something that never happend. read more

We dropped off an Amazon return package to the Citrus Heights, Ca. store and left the large envelope open for UPS to tape up so they could ensure that the second shipping label was inside. We have done this many times before without any problems until this last time! The young gal working the counter was flippant with my wife and said, "you know, I could steal this from you if I wanted". My wife told her that it wasn't very nice to act like that with a customer. The gal then said that she didn't know what to do with the envelope. My wife said to check for the bar code paper had been inside the envelope and then tape it shut. The gal then told my wife that the next time she can just do it herself! My wife told her that this is no way to treat a customer and that FedEx has never treated us that way! It was suggested that we go there then! I had thought that you people had fixed your lack of customer service issues. I guess I was wrong! I will take this up with Amazon and expressly ask to use FedEx in the future! This has to be the "WORST" customer service we have ever had! We are dealing with a damaged package that we bought insurance on. Depending on how the claim is handled will depend on if we add to this regarding the damage. This is about all the calls my husband has made in the last 3 days and "STILL NO RETURN CALL" even though the message states they we call you back within one day. You would think that a customer with a problem is something they would want to address, at least to avoid getting comments here or anywhere for that matter. Went there recently to send a clock to Hawaii. The first time was quoted $40 to pack and $225 to ship. When I came back was quoted by a different person $70 to pack it and $220 to send UPS to Hawaii, for a total of $300..! Went to FedEx store on Sunrise Blvd and had it done for $147.00 total. $20 to pack and $127 to ship to Hawaii....clock took 3 days to get there. The lesson here is do your homework and check around first. I'm not sure if all UPS stores would be the same, but I am afraid I don't trust this one to do anything else besides drop off stuff. Was shocked at the difference a few miles could make, and always assumed FedEx would cost more. The FedEx people were really fast and efficient comparatively-don't get me wrong UPS Store people were fine, but I just didn't feel they were as accomplished as the FedEx people. read more

WOW I just had the most amazing experience at UPS at greenback. Alex deserves an award for her upstanding customer service! I arrived at closing time, doors were actually locked (I work the night shift so this was really early for me) and Alex was going out of her way to help an elderly customer, when I walked up and the door was locked I was crushed, I just had a return that needed to be shipped. I've even worked retail before and when doors are locked, it's game over! She allowed me inside, finished helping the elderly customer by thoroughly explaining and writing down who to call and what numbers to push, and got me taken care of at closing time. I commend her for going above and beyond for not only one but two people today. She has no idea how much that means to me!! read more

This store has horrible customer service, at least from one lady in particular. Of course they don't wear name tags so I wasn't able to identify her so I could make a complaint. She's an older lady with short white hair. I came in to ship a pre-paid package (a return) and was given incorrect information by the employee. When I came back to get my package to take to USPS to ship there was a line out the door. I walked to the front and asked if she could just hand me my package back, I was told (with attitude), no that I would have to wait in line. She literally would have just had to bend down, pick it up and hand it to me. So I proceeded to wait in line all the while they were helping other customer who hadn't waited in line that were just dropping off packages (they gave the same amount of effort that it would have taken to give me my package back). Then it comes to the point where I am nested to be helped and this same lady tells her co-worker that I just need to pick up my package and asks her to hand it to me, like she was doing me some big favor. Why couldn't she do that when I walked up the first time instead of waiting until I was next in line???? She just wanted to inconvenience me by forcing me to stand in line. Everyone in line was also commenting that she looked miserable to be there. When you are in customer service, SMILE, it goes a long way. The worst customer service I ever experienced! DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!!!! They blame you for every mistake they do. They didn't notify us regarding extra fees after we sent the package and now after paying $30 for shipping we have to pay another $39 or more if we want it sent all the way or to get it back. They wont try to help and say its my fault! They should of told us in the beginning it will cost $70 to ship the item not after its stuck at one of their locations!!!
