After reading all the negative reviews, I was hesitant to try this place. But since they are close to where I live, I thought I would give it a try. Very happy I did! There were two people at the counter when I walked in and they both smiled and said hello. Good start! I walked to the counter and told Nate that I had an Amazon package to return. He said "We can do that for you. I recommend using one of our bubble wrap envelopes, which is $3.75. We will pack it for you and attach the label." And that was it! Took about three minutes to complete the transaction. The young lady at the counter was also very pleasant. These guys deserve a good acknowledgment for providing excellent customer service. read more

Absolutely horrible customer service and this is not the first time. When I walked in, there were two employees. One was sitting on the counter on her phone. When she looked up, I said "good morning" and was met with a stare. A "gentleman" (Neither one had name tags) came over as I started to place one of three items on the so called counter. There is literally no room due to the scale, so I placed one item on the small part of counter and other two items on the scale with all 3 QR forms printed out for each item. I had also highlighted the item as listed on the form to make it quick and simple so the employee would know which form went to which item. I had all the forms in order of each product and had the items (sans the first one that was on the actual counter) sitting on the forms. The employee then told me "NEXT TIME" hand me each item with each form separately. I went above and beyond to make clear which form went with the appropriate item. I am not there to do his job and he was rude from the get go. He is a grown man and I would hope intelligent enough to match each item with the form when it was clearly marked. This is not the first time and apparently judging by the reviews, not an anomaly. Unfortunately, this is the closest location for me. I know I will have more returns (probably by the weekend) and hope to see some attitude adjustments from the "employees" at this location. I have owned my business in this area for over 30 years and cannot believe in this day and age, that this is the best out there to represent UPS. Depending on how this is handled, it will be part of my decision as to whether to advise Amazon about this particular location. While it is just a drop off for Amazon, I would imagine that they would not want to be associated with a location that has rude employees. read more

I've had so many problems with the customer service and the consistency of operations with this store for years, but after this last visit, I'm finally going to leave a review. I don't know if it's just the employees that don't know that ups is a franchise, and certain things are dictated by the owner. But I have noticed that this ups store requires a box or a bag for every Amazon return (even if the Amazon label says free no box or label needed). An example of one return I had was two flower pots that came in 1 box, and since there was two items sent in 1 box , and one return label, they required me to have a second box and wanted me to purchase one. I declined and had to take it to another ups store who took the return as is- just like other ups stores do. Todays issue was some reason amazon couldn't group my returns in one label but separate ones per item instead. Because of my experience at this store, I knew I had to go out of my way to get all separate box's and bags, because again it's been years of me just learning this rule with this specific franchise. But come to find out that they wanted me to self scan my returns, and put them in these individual bags they supply. When I had asked if the rules changed just so I know for future returns, they said no rules have changed and blamed it on Amazon that I need to be contacting them if the return QR code says "no box or label needed" right below the barcode. And when they scan it on the computer at ups and it says "box needed". That it's on Amazon for the discrepancy. Even when every other location including other ups franchises, take the return as the label says. Overall, a poor customer experience because of the inconvenience and inconsistency. Amazon returns are suppose to be seemless. It's a 50/50 chance the QR code you're holding truly is a 'no box or label needed' or not. It all depends on the moment you get to the counter, but if they say you need a box that they will be happy to make you pay for it. read more

This location is small, but seems to offer all of the services found at any other UPS Store. As this plaza is near my office, and on my commute, I frequently ship my packages & bulky envelopes here. I usually use the cheaper USPS postage, but occasionally I need a signature or at least a tracking number, so in those instances, I use UPS Ground. I really appreciate the tracking info I get via email! Sometimes I need color copies &/or laminating, and while the prices are not really competitive with large runs at a print house, the turn-around time is almost always within 48 hours, and often same day. Typically, I'm not given much lead time, yet this UPS Store can usually meet my tight deadlines. I really like being able to email my short-run print jobs so I only need to go in the store when my print is ready. The store's owner is "the Asian woman" mentioned in other reviews. She is Japanese, and has owned this store for at least 15 years (maybe longer). She is also usually the only one of her staff that is a notary, so I call ahead when I need that service to make sure she will be there. The other employees I've encountered have been friendly & helpful as well. The plaza is rather nondescript, although it has a traffic light. Yet with a couple of restaurants (including Ken's Sushi that I still want to try), an apparently popular animal hospital, plus a bunch of other businesses, it's a very busy plaza. Parking is tight, mainly because the "thru lane" doesn't feel quite wide enough with all the vehicle traffic coming & going. Backing up with my giant minivan involved a lot of looking around, and even with my smaller SUV, I still feel like I'm squeezing in here, so I try to park on the side facing Gulf to Bay. That said, I have never had to park far away from the store, so available spaces are sufficient. read more

Wow. Walked in to drop off a package. Said "good afternoon" all cheery and yet...was received with the coldest "greeting" I've ever received. Chika, a notary public, was on shift. I kindly requested to have more tape as the label wasn't affixed properly to my package, yet she didn't respond - she just continued to coldly scan package, give me the receipt and said thank you good afternoon. I asked again if I could please have some tape. Grabbed package and said "thank you good afternoon" nonstop looking out without telling me whether or not she was going to tape it...? She basically kicked me out of the store that way. I have never received this type of "customer service" anywhere. Quite unfortunate as she was very swift with the service...but I mean c'mon now. A "yes ma'am, will do" is all she would have had to say to change this 2 star review to a 5 star review. People want to be treated with basic respect, especially if they enter your place of business and treat YOU with the utmost respect... read more

Pedro was very rude during my transaction. I greeted him first. He never smiled and appeared as if he didn't want to be there. At one point, when I was told the when my package would reach its destination, he said "good enough?". The lady working greeted everyone with a smile. I'm the kind of person who doesn't like rude customer service or possible confrontation with a business owner/personnel. I was actually skeptical of coming here due to all the negative reviews. I had 6 or so Amazon returns that I was doing all at one time, a couple of them required boxes and special labeling - the guy behind the counter said good morning as soon as I walked in (as it should be! But some other reviews said otherwise) and he was SO nice and helpful. Of course, I came for a few Amazon returns only, but I noticed that both the guy helping me and the other one helping the rest of the customers were both very nice and respectful to everyone. I was out of there in less than 5 minutes. I don't know if they have different staff at different times of the day or different days of the week, but I most definitely want everyone to know that the guy that helped me today and the other guy who was on shift with him seem both exceptional. Unbelievably bad service, bordering on fraud. Went for notary services, which 2 separate employees screwed up by filling in incorrectly. Tried to fix their mistakes using white out tape, which invalidated the forms, both reps being entirely unconcerned that an unsuspecting customer would not know the forms were invalid until long afterward when they tried to rely on them. Owner thought the whole thing hilarious. Useless and incompetent. Use Enterprise Road or Easy Bay where all staff were courteous, helpful and competent. read more

I walked in and he said "put your box on the scale", in the rudest manor. Then followed by charging me $15 for a box that is for a shoes box. $2.25 for a computer I didn't even use... then throws my box of shoes that I just sold to the side...Refund please, and bye! This place sucks. The guy behind the counter could not be more negative and disinterested. He had a man bun. He shut the door at 3:29 when the store closes at 3:30 and then said that the system would not let him in although he was helping another customer. This is not a standard UPS store, they are licensed to ship UPS but do not expect them to carry a single UPS item. They overcharge for boxes and packing material and are also quite rude. read more

Won items at auction and requested this UPS location to pick up and deliver. I'm shocked at what I was charged. I ship packages several times a week via USPS. I believe the negative reviews here are the result of some ethnic dislikers who mask their jingoistic attitudes as the problem of "this Asian woman." Well folks, don't listen to them. I have done business with this Owner for 8 years, and she has been nothing but the nicest, most efficient, helpful small business owner that I have ever come across. She begins every interaction with a smile and a desire to help. Of course, I always walk in with a smile. I would be willing to bet that many bring a nasty attitude in with them, so they should not be surprised if they are met in kind. I didn't have a box at home so I stopped at this location. I was told it would be $15. My response, "for a cardboard box?" I had a prepaid label. I was told this was for a "service fee." Ridiculous! I went to the Dunedin ups and the men there helped me out no problem. I will only use the Dunedin location from now on. read more

I'm not saying this about all UPS stores, but this experience was just bad. I usually go to my home UPS when I ship or return items because they're quick, efficient, and patient. This time however I was out running errands and this UPS store was close by. I stopped in to return a few things. They were going to separate locations. I sent emails of shipping labels, organized my packages by how they needed to be shipped (which took a couple minutes) and then the associate immediately just dropped all of my items into a box. When he got done counting everything up, my shipping cost was insane and for most ups stores when I'm returning things to Amazon it's covered by Amazon. However, this ups claimed all ups stores were different and had the choice to charge. I accepted this and moved on because I was in a hurry. However When he was all done scanning things, he handed me a few tracking stickers and as I sat there counting them he just said they're all there have a good day. like an idiot I drove home only to find that I was in fact missing two receipts. I drove in , the associate was relatively short/rude when asking him for a copy of all of my shipments. He first said there was no way he missed one, let alone two, but he had. That being said idc about the money. I just know my experience there felt rushed, and I almost lost $80 because he did not scan one of my returned. Really poor experience and customer service. i don't feel this way about ups in general, but this store really under delivered. Would never recommend this location. read more

Very dissappointed about my visit. This is the only UPS store that tricks people. Watch your steps before you do. You will pay for everything. I never expected anything for free but CHIKA the owner will not inform you upfront for any extra charges for her help and using store computer for example. The information about charges I found hidden after I print my label turns out to cost more than the return item of mine. She is cold when you ask questions and unpleasent when you complain. Chika stayed on top of the problem until it was resolved, turning what could have been a real negative into a positive. Spent 61.00 on an overnight letter ( to be delivered in 24 hours ), package has been lost. No notification from the UPS store. One week later after 3 calls and another trip to see the manager I am told need to wait 2 more weeks for a refund. Manager to call me later, not much confidence that will happen. These are some the rudest, most incompetent people I have ever dealt with in my life. I tried to send photos nearly a month ago and I was charged nearly $18 just for domestic ground shipping a few photos. (It turns out I could have shipped using the U.S. post office for less than $7!) The photos were never delivered, the recipient was never notified that a delivery attempt was made and then the photos sat in a warehouse. Neither my relative nor myself were notified that the envelope was waiting to be picked up and when I realized it had been past the estimated delivery date, I checked online and UPS had already decided (without notifying me or the recipient) to return the envelope to the UPS store from where it was originally sent. I called UPS customer service to fix the issue or to receive a refund and they told me that the store would have to do the refund. Many days later when it finally arrived at the UPS store, I went to pick it up and the rude, smug woman "working" there told me this did not qualify for a refund. Their main purpose is to ship to the correct address in a certain amount of time, this was not accomplished, how on earth does this not qualify for a refund?! The woman at the store told me I would have to call customer service again to try to get a refund, so I reluctantly called again and they told me again it was the UPS stores responsibility to refund the money. While I was on the phone the woman "working" at the store rudely talked over the phone customer service rep to talk about giving me a print out of UPS's delivery failures for this envelope, as if that would help resolve the issue. When I ended the disastrous customer service conversation, with someone who barely spoke English, the woman "working" at the store was hiding behind a wall to avoid helping me resolve this issue. The male coworker behind the counter had his head down avoiding eye contact with me the entire time, likely because he knew I deserved a refund but could not speak up for fear of retribution. I was polite and calm considering the circumstance but manners didn't help. I was beyond frustrated, so I left without a refund. From now on, I will ship with the U.S. post office or FedEx. Even a carrier pigeon would have been faster, cheaper, more polite and reliable! read more
