Okay, this is going a pretty bare-bones review since UPS is a place you go -- not for ambiance, food, our high-service shops -- but to ship a package. First recommendation: Be ready for high traffic and minimal parking during the rush hour, as it's in an outdoor small full of restaurants and fast-food joints. I find it particularly easy when returning or sending a pre-labeled package ... they just zap it and go. If you need something sent and you don't have it labeled, they'll do all that for you. What sets UPS apart is their extra services. They have a roving Notary Public in the greater Sandy area, so if you call ahead you may be able to get her officially stamp your official documents. If you're up to your earlobes in sensitive paperwork, they can do it (they charge you based on the weight). They've also helped me take care of all the logistics involved in getting my latest Passport. And, of course, The UPS Store has high-end printing and a very good selection of office supplies. I don't ship often, but when I needed something packed up and shipped and insured, I strolled in to let the pros take care of it. While all that service (buying the materials, shipping, and paying them to pack it up) isn't cheap, it's the convenience that you're really after. It's a one-stop shop, and you're on your way. They offer a few other things (notary?) but my experience with all that has been limited. You'll save a few bucks by packing stuff up yourself, and I know that back in the day it was cheaper to take your stuff to the package center, but with so many locations like this one around, you're probably just going to want to save time and hit up the UPS Store. read more

Avoid this UPS store if you are doing anything other than dropping off a package. They are a franchise so (seemingly) they cannot do anything that a normal UPS store would do. For example, I was trying to ship 6 big boxes for a conference last week. Because I didn't know the weight, I didn't pre-print the shipping labels. I came with my corporate account number and the employee let me know I needed to set my number up with their system. Given how much we ship there, I asked her to check to see if it was done. She stared at my blankly, typed for a second, and said it was not. I called a colleague who went through the instructions they provided me and told me that it was already set up. I told the the UPS employee this and she said "Oh, I didn't even check because most of the time people haven't done it" ... so i guess she was just pretending? They were still having issues pulling up my corporate account. They told me I should leave and call corporate and come back. I was so surprised because the entire store function is to ship UPS packages, it seemed odd that I had to be the one to fix the issue. I was on a time crunch to get the packages out so I let them know i would prepare the packages online on my phone and then ask them to print the labels. She recommended I use their computers and let me know they would be charging me by the minute. I asked if they would waive the fee given the reason I have to use the computer is because their system isn't working. She said no, she is a franchise and it isn't her fault so they would charge me by the minute and the page. 10 minutes and $5.00 later, I had my shipping labels. It was so odd and such a terrible customer experience that I will go out of my way in the future to avoid shipping out of this location. I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because we have never had issues dropping off our pre-paid packages. read more

The employees in the store are nice but their internet is ridiculously slow. I popped in to print something off from my email... the timer on the computer showed that it took 1 minute and 31 seconds just to populate the google webpage. That's how long it took to load google! That's pretty much dial up internet speed. I would love to go to this location more but I print often and can't afford to be charged for excessively slow internet use - since they charge you by the minute. I went to the fed ex down the street and they are amazing! I was in and out in almost the time it took to load up google lol read more

My constant complaint is why sign up with "my choice" to have it delivered to your front door when these yahoos throw it against your garage or deliver to a neighbors or it's LOST? then you wait on the prompt for a good 15 to 30 minutes for customer service, they're in another country and it's difficult to understand, they say they'll call you back within one hour guaranteed and you don't hear from them so you don't have your package! it's terrible customer service. I have cameras I can tell when it's delivered I don't know if they're thieves or what but this is ridiculous. read more

I use the website UPS has and use the option to get a quote. I knew the dimensions and the weight so I'd get a more accurate quote. Price was good enough, so I had down to UPS store to ship. I get there and to my shock the quote was by FAR accurate. It was almost a 50% increase in what I was quoted. So, employee tells me that it because the box is big so they have to ship it as if weights double the size that it actually does weight. (Example: box weighs 20 lbs they charged me as if it weighs 40 lbs.) It maybe a quote but how is it off by 50%!!! USPS would be my recommendation to all who ship. read more
