Smiling as I write this, I tend to think of this store as the Chick-Fil-A of mail service locations. The workers always seem genuinely happy to see everyone they wait upon, including me. They are all great but there is one particular stand out: Teresa. Professional, personable and VERY knowledgeable about their products and services, she also seems truly content with her job and is humorous, to boot. She makes unsolicited suggestions about the less costly ways to ship and, even when the store is packed, she is ALWAYS patient and has a pleasant tone and demeanor. I've been visiting a lot of UPS stores lately for returns and such, and I happened to visit the UPS store here in Duluth. I came on Saturday closing to close time and it was pretty busy. I could tell most of the clientele here were coming for returns, and there were only two employees there. They definitely were trying their best to try to get the customers in and out and they did not seem like the happiest campers, but these folks are just UPS folks. Not expecting much out of them. I tried to make it easy for them by having my Amazon QR code ready and having it all packaged and shipped. It took a little while due to the line, but my encounter was quick and fast -- huge shoutout as I know UPS partners with a lot of clients; they're definitely doing their best. read more

I apologize for being rude to the guy today, but this is the only location that asks you what you're shipping. I wasn't having it today. It's one of those situations where I could just answer nicely, but it's stupid. 'Customer orders' or 'merchandise' isn't enough. Does the owner of the store actually think someone that's shipping something harmful is going to confess at the desk? I want management to read that out loud then tell me how it sounds. It comes across as rude and nosey as hell. If you're that concerned with shipping safety, use your money as a franchisee to buy x-ray equipment. Require boxes to be sealed by staff. Or, put one of those generic statements out on the credit card reader that I have to agree to like usps does. It's annoying because ups stores are franchised that the owners can charge different prices and make up different rules. Just rubs me the wrong way. I had amazing ups stores in Florida and PA when I was there for work- not as much the same in Georgia. read more

If I could leave less than 1 star, I would. This store lied to me, and in effect scammed me for a double what I should have been charged. I needed a packed to be delivered outside of a 3 day ground window. I was told I could upgrade to a select service which was double the price, but would get it there on the correct day. I elected to do that. UPS delivered on day 3 instead of the promissed day 4. When I called to inquire, they told me that it wasn't a guarenteed service and that the CYA language was in the fine print. They made ZERO offer to make it right, and instead pointed to the contract. BEWARE OF WHO YOU DO BUSINESS WITH AND THE PROMISSES THEY MAKE. They couldn't have cared less about the mess they caused on the back end, they just pointed to their CYA language and told me to have a nice day. read more

This UPS Store is open as early as 8 am. It's located in the Kroger shopping plaza in Duluth off Steve Reynolds.Most I know are open later during this stay-in-shelter. The level of racial profiling that happens at this store is unacceptable. I was very much racially profiled against, not allowed to ship my package, and the lady Melissa refused to give me her name to report her to corporate. So this review is for you Melissa. I gave her a description of my package she said she needed to check the regulation and came back 15 mins later telling me I can't ship something to the retuned sender who used the same service. Moreover, as I was on the phone she proceeded to open my package staying that she needed to send a picture of the item being shipped to her store manager to see if it was in line with their shipping policy. If you don't know the regulation why are you handling peoples shipping that's a federal offense? And why would you open my package and want to send a verifying picture to you manager who now that I needed escalated assistance was no where to be found or not accessible. Then she didn't wanna share her name lol like cut the crap! Stop with the racial profiling. It's getting old people. Melissa I hope that your leadership takes this matter as a serious issue and threat their business model. You have been very disrespectful and not providing me your name was the icing on the cake. I literally was left standing in the store lobby without being helped and without returning a package that was pre-labeled because someone wanted to be racists and very nasty at 8:30 am on a Friday. We came to this place to have some documents shipped. The gentleman put our name/address wrong twice even after we showed him the exact shipping parcels from earlier service done by UPS. Obviously he was annoyed by this but I don't get why. Not even our fault at first place!! Also, he wouldn't pack documents and put them envelopes in front of us, saying - "if you want me to do that you are welcome to wait and watch". EXCUSE ME? Those are important documents and you just put them over your printer and let it be???? Won't come back again. read more

When I came into the store to pick up a package, the man behind the counter - I'm not going to name him as it's not my intention to flame anyone - was helping an Asian man who clearly didn't speak much, if any English. I don't know what transpired before I got there, but the employee was clearly irritated at having to explain to the man how to use the credit card machine and how to fill out the paperwork. In fact, I witnessed the employee rolling his eyes, nearly ripping the paperwork from the man's hand, pulling the credit machine toward himself and shoving it back into place with exasperation - all of this in front of the customer AND at least two other customers in front of me. It was unbelievably rude and unprofessional. I also noticed how he was the picture of helpfulness when the other people, and then myself came to the counter. Not cool. read more

Dropped in thinking I'd give this store another chance since I've had horrible customer service in the past. I had a package with a pre paid shopping label. This grumpy old white man with glasses refers me to the post office in a smart tone. if I needed a copy of my label. I simply asked if there was a receipt. I did not ask for any referrals. I took my package back as I decided I will never do business here again. He and the mousy woman with glasses has the same energy and attitude. I did also Customer Service for the store to let them know about my 2nd bad encounter with this store. read more

I only pick up my mail about once every 2-3 weeks. Very little trouble for the staff there. Very rude staff and if and when I send a package it takes them FOREVER to process the label, etc and costs more than the USPS. Will not be renewing. Poor customer service at it's worst. read more

Printer's beware. This is the first time I have had any printing done at this location. I have used several other UPS stores in the area, and Athens for small (less than 10 page) personal jobs. I was completely caught off guard by the $2.00 computer fee attached to the printing job. Keep in mind I was not the one using the computer but understand that the other places have charged me a hook-up fee or something equivalent ....but it was a dollar at most. This charge was on top of the cost per page (34 cents / each). I know it does not sound like a lot but when this is 68% of the total....its a factor. When I asked I was told that UPS's are owned by different owners. Lesson learned and will not be using this location especially for printing. They also don't post this cost in a place that was visible (if it's posted at all) so was unaware until after the job was done. read more

My package was able to be tracked- even though I lost the receipt and had multiple issues with this package through other stores (FedEx) and another UPS store and shipping issues ( apt #'s). I was given a return call and had the package reshipped ! without even having to step foot into the location- everyone has busy schedules and this all in itself was a life saver. I mail ALL off my business packages from this location and although I never really have a pleasant experience with 1 associate, Larry and the other gentleman and lady( I never remember there names) are always nice even though shipping costs kind of hit me in the wallet. this review is mainly focus the UPS Main Office in 55 Glenlake Parkway NE Atlanta, GA 30328 United States since the main office is not listed in Yelp.com for some apparent reason that might justified their employee and team of customer service. With my most package that was claim to be in process for eerily delivery. Since I was curious on the reason for the early delivery attempt I call the main office and ask the agent on the status. the agent told me over the phone that the driver is currently in my area meaning that they in my block or neighborhood. when I walk out to the front gate - I see no UPS track. So I begin to think the agent is continue to make excuses to get out of any situation. in short, the corporate office continue to show less professionalism by hiring a staffs that continue to make excuse just to save his or her job. this is an example why the US job market continue to head downhill and why I decide to be a self-employed. read more
