I went there to return my phone but was asked to pay for the tape. Very ridiculous. I believe next time I will be charged for using their pen to write. Quick in and out trip, literally!! Located in the Fortuna Center shopping center, hugged by Five Guys and Hair Cuttery, you cannot miss the storefront. I came here to drop off a package for UPS pick out. I was able to walk right in and was instantly helped. The gentleman who helped me greeted me with a smile and a salutation and proceeded to take my package from me so he could scan it. Seconds later he was handing me my receipt and I was on my way. Needed a Notary and I couldn't get any of the mobile notaries to respond to messages after giving quotes. I called UPS and the notary was available. I went and got 3 documents notarized in less than 10 minutes (even with a full lobby). I spent $15 total, whereas, I was quoted $50 on average by the mobile notaries (again....who failed to respond after quoting me). Overall, great service if you need any notary done. read more

My 16 year old daughter came to this store to mail a package to NV, a small package with the weight of 3.2lbs. When she walked in both employees ignored her. She walked up to the counter and waited for the 2 employees to finished their conversation. She asked to ship the package the most economical way. The lady was short with her and told my daughter she didn't understand. My daughter said she wanted to mail it the cheapest way possible. The lady charged my daughter $28 to mail the package. Kyle, the gentleman at the store looked at my daughter, laughed at her and made the comment "first timer" When my daughter came home she was in tears and told me I'd the incident. I immediately called the store and told them I would be coming to the store to get the package and my daughters money back. When I got to the store (about 10 minutes later) I was told the package was taken on the truck. I asked a Kyle about his comment to my daughter and he said "I was just playing with her". My response "you were given the opportunity to be kind and teach a young adult how to navigate mailing a package via UPS". Monumental failure. I wish 0 stars was available! I had the most deplorable experience today at this location 5555. I had an item delivered damaged and was told by purchasing company to wrap the umbrella in plastic to return. Umbrella was delivered wrapped in plastic with no bubble wrap or anything just plastic. I go to return umbrella wrapped in plastic as instructed with label emailed by purchasing company. Associate processed the return and told me they would not be responsible if something happened to the damaged umbrella. I walked out to be chased down by associate giving back the damaged item. Associate explained that manager (Asian Female) instructed her to do so. I went back and asked why and was disrespected, chastised, demeaned and treated like trash by manager (Asian Female) who wouldn't give her name. I'm not sure why I was treated in this manner and I'm hoping I wasn't stereotyped or racially profiled! I didn't argue or become disrespectful even though I was emotional scarred by this ladies deplorable behavior. This lady(Asian Female) even pushed the item at one point and kept pacing back and forth looking at me in an unfriendly manner. This behavior is the same behavior that is being displayed all over the media today and it's a problem! Worst service ever. I shipped a Christmas package right before Thanksgiving. ITT was on the truck to be delivered to the recipient and the driver decided he didn't want to deliver it and shipped it all back. I am high risk and couldn't go out in the pandemic, so I go to pick it up after I got vaccinated. They told me that they wouldn't not refund the $50 for postage. I was charged here for something that was never delivered where it was supposed to go and was never issued a refund. I haven't gone back, but out of desperation, I did today and was charged $15 for a package weighing less than a lb shipping at the slowest option. My husband and I spent weeks making a treasure chest for our granddaughter's 5th birthday and I took it to this UPS location in hopes that they could pack and ship it without being damaged. The gentleman behind the counter (I believe his name is Darrius) was very friendly and helpful. Though I'm sure glittery, sparkly treasure chests aren't an interest of his, he took the time to ask about it and understood how important it was to me. He promised that he would take good care of it and he did! It arrived on time and absolutely undamaged. In an area where good customer service is becoming increasingly hard to find, Darrius stands out head and shoulders among the rest. If i could give them 0 stars I would. I mailed some very important documents next day air Wednesday at 3 PM. It is currently Friday at 1 PM and the package still isn't there. When I've called corporate and the local store they told me they don't guarantee next day anymore. I wasn't made aware if this when I shipped the envelope. Which I get because of Covid. 72 hours later and the package hasn't t arrived and I'm just out 50 dollars when I could have shipped it regularly and it would take this long. I am beyond upset. They said they no longer give guarantees on next day. Well why sell a service that you can't complete. This is robbery and theft in my opinion. They won't give me a refund. Buyers please be aware of this bad business. You would think during Covid they would understand the we are all struggling and make it right with the customers. Nope you're screwed is all I've been hearing from them. I will never use UPS again. I will spread the word to all my family and friends as well. If you've got something prepaid and just want to drop it off, this place is OK. If you want to have something packed and shipped, don't even bother! I tried to ship a 25 lb item via UPS Ground which they quoted $185. It did include packaging which would then "up size" the measurements (thus increasing the cost and additional fees on the shipment.) I took my item home, boxed it up myself, created a UPS shipper account through eBay and Paypal, and shipped the EXACT same item for $32. When shipping an item I may have the address already printed and ready but they still make me fill out a form with the same information. I ask what that's for and they say they need to type it into the computer. Uh, what? Can't you type from the nicely printed piece of paper I have in my hand that I'm willing to give you instead of trying to decipher my crappy penmanship? I believe the pricing strategy at the UPS store is as follows: UPS RETAIL pricing + UPS Store mark up (100%) + any packaging + $100/hour labor. I could be wrong. They don't explain their rates. They just say, "That's what it says in the computer." read more

The UPS Store at Fortuna Shopping Center is simply the "Best" customer care for many postal services conveniently located in Dumfries. The staff is truly helpful with pleasant customer care service each time I have frequent the store. I've been a customer over 10 years. Today was no different. I needed to return two heavy products. I called ahead to inquire if I could bring them and ask how can I drop them off. The staffer said yes, just pull up in front and they have a dolly to use. I arrived and went in to ask for the dolly. The staff worker, Kyle brought the dolly and proceeded to lift the heavy boxes from my car. Simply excellent! I gave him the shipping labels and he said, thank you! I got it. I'll take care of it! I love the cleanliness and prompt service of this UPS store. I love it that I can leave prepaid Post Office packages too. What a convenience! What I really, really HATE, though, is the smart remarks from the manager. Nearly every time I go in there, he makes smart remarks about the amount of on-line shopping I do. I wish he would smile pleasantly, thank me and wish me a nice day. I'm lousy at confrontation but I want to say, "Mind your own business! I feel negatively judged every time I come in here! What's it to you? I give more than 10% to charity, so I think I should be able to enjoy some of the rest of the retirement money my husband and I worked for. I try to be kind and generous, so leave me alone! I can't shop like other people do because of my messed up back, so I shop online." Horrible customer service, had a box purchased and packaged by the staff, shipped, returned due to severe damage. The store manager refused to reimburse me even though I purchased the insurance. Additionally, he claimed that the package wasn't packaged there even though the purchase of the box and material was on the receipt. In DC ups always give you a email so you just can send the document to them and they print document for you. I can to this ups with the email ready to be send like 29 pages I just need to type their email. The person In counter told me I need to enter to the computer so make it super difficult because he saw me with a sleepy baby in my arms. A soon a sir baby start crying I didn't remember my password so make this more uncomfortable. He saw me struggles still didn't care. When I finally remember my password and print he charge me for computer time. I didn't find all the documents I need to print because I have it in the phone ready for send but don't show in the computer. So I was si mad I just print one. Finnish paying $3.14 for printing 4 documents I really don't need all the extra paper print when you print directly but I was late so didn't care. Really not the best place really love more my DC area people are super helpful over there. So bad the same company can't offer the same quality service in others places. read more
