The best UPS store I visit. I ship packages often and this place has consistently good service.

Came in today at 2pm. I would give this location ten stars if I could, except for one employee. Nora and the rest of her team are top notch professionals who provide excellent service. Today I came in to pick up my packages after getting an email they were in ( I am a mailbox holder) and the clerk who was assisting me was giving me packages with my box number on them and someone else's name. I pointed this out and said they needed to be more careful. I asked if Nora was in, he said she was not. I figured as much as Nora is a treasure and keeps everything in working order there. He finally searches and brings me my packages ( who had other Box numbers listed on the store label). There was one missing. I said to this clerk, I need to be picky this one is kinda pricey...He finds the package and then comes to me and says loudly and in a lecture voice " You need to not come here until we get an email out to you." I said well you did email me, how was I supposed to know you did not log this one in? I said please calm down, then he tells me to calm down and starts laughing and making fun of me! I told him he should think twice about doing that to me again. He then continues on to stand there and laugh and make fun of me in front of the entire store and laughed loudly at me. I could hear him mock me the entire time I walked out of the store. Wow. I can tell you right now if Nora were there this never would have happened. I have already called corporate, but I think that it is important the public knows that with this employee when the cat is away, the mouse comes out to play. You can be a paying mailbox holder here and risk being bullied, mocked, jeered at, and laughed at by this employee-- and have the privilege to pay for it. He also wears no nametag and says they do not give out their names. It is really a shame as everyone else who works there is top notch. read more

I've been coming here for about a year now and have never really had any issues. However, my last visit made me want to leave a review. It was a busy day, and I had a pretty large shipment, but Alicia handled everything so well. She was kind, professional, and extremely helpful. Despite multitasking and assisting other employees, she still took the time to make sure everything was taken care of. Drove all the way here from Crestwood because it said it closed at 5 and the ones near me closed at 3 and 4... got here at 4:52 and it was already locked up, he said the computers were turned off and they were cleaning... if you say you'll close at 5 you should stop servicing customers at 5, not 10 minutes till! You vacuum and clean AFTER the store is closed. NOT COOL read more

This would have been a full 5 star except the guys who answered the phone the first time was not friendly and did not show customer service. When I asked if I could have the package forwarded to me he responded no. It's seemed strange so I called back. THANK GOODNESS Oddly enough I got him again and he literally sounded like he was annoyed but then he put Nora on the phone! Sweet Nora who listened to my 1 min explanation of my package going to the wrong UPS store - even though the address was correct! I was baffled. She was baffled and then she actually helped me. Like literally started typing and saying she would look into it. I asked about just paying to have it now shipped to me and she agreed and said they could send it to me. Ford Star service every time I come into this UPS. For the last 3 or 4 times I have had the same young female who pretty much for the most part always wear braids in her hair. She always gets you In-N-Out in a fast courteous manner it's like she knows that your time is precious and valuable and you have other things to do besides standing in a UPS office delivering or picking up a package so each transaction you have she makes it fast and painless. I have been using this store for several years because ok the convenience and service. That was until today when I have a very uncomfortable altercation with Christine who is one of the associates. This person was so rude and disrespectful that it made me afraid and angry for our human race. I refused to allow her to wait on me and the other associate completed my transaction. This is the only reason I gave this review two stars. It seems as if we are losing a whole generation of human beings to anger and hate. I submitted a complaint to the cooperate office and to the management of the store. This type of behavior does not have to be tolerated. read more

I have used this store to send packages during the week and everyone is super helpful - but I went in on a weekend to set up a PO Box and the service from the shift manager Lisa Was TERRIBLE! After asking a few questions she literally said the words to me "Shut your mouth." Unbelievable. Fortunately another nice young man named Kevin was super helpful which is the only reason they're getting even one star. Kevin, thank you. Let me start by saying I am a frequent customer at this location and have never had a problem. Today I walk in to mail items to my brother- I pick up a large envelope to purchase and proceed to wait for the associate to call me to the register. She says in the worst tone "Do you want something?" I say "I'd like to mail this package." She replies again with attitude "Well put it on the scale." So I ask if she's ok or does she need a minute. Her response was "Do you want help or not?!" So I take my items out of the envelope and walk out of the store. There were 2 other employees and 2 customers who heard this exchange and they all looked shocked but said nothing. The young lady/associate is Christine from store #5612. Anyone can have a bad day- but she does not need to work in a customer related job. My experience was so bad I will NOT be back to this location and hope management sends Christine home where she apparently wants to be. I am a senior citizen and Military Veteran- I will not tolerate that kind of disrespect from anybody but rather than risk my freedom I removed myself from that situation. In there this morning 12/6/23 And the customer serv agent Christine is on her cell phone cursing and talk gossiping. The conversation she was having was not for a work environment. She talked about someone's apartment and their clothes. An elderly lady came in with a question about 2 packages she shipped and being confused abt one not acually shipping, Christine says "Give me your phone", very loud sigh. I have been going to this store 5612 in Evergreen Park for the past 10 years. I have to say I look forward to this errand. Every time I go they are very friendly and so accommodating. Some of the most challenging packages to send they will seek out boxes, assist with wrapping and always willing to help. I have watched the workers deal with very challenging customers and they are always so helpful and professional which is amazing, even with super long lines. I never take time to write reviews but Nora customer service urge you to give her kudos. Nora has been a perfect customer service savant. Nora has always had a great welcoming attitude. Nora has always greeted me by my name and had my packages ready as I awaited service in line. I suggest Nora should train the region staff in customer service. Whenever I need to send a package right away, I can always count on the nice people at the UPS Store location at 9449 S. Kedzie 60805. To provide Prompt, non-nonsense very courteous service. The only downside to UPS is that when for some reason, making a 'pickup' from a residential address instead of the between 9a-7pm, which basically ruins/wastes your whole day. If they could narrow it down to at least 2-4hours like macy's or comcast/xfinity, they would garner an even higher rating, but unfortunately that is the one area in which they are still lagging. Otherwise, for dropping off or in-store services, they are awesome! And another plus is that, this tends to be one of the quieter UPS locations located in the middle of the city of Chicago (located on the Evergreen Park side of the street in comparison to some of the larger locations). First of all I like this store however I sent 7 packages from this location to my new home in Texas in October. Two of the packages were lost so I filed a claim in November. After back and forth with UPS to get some common ground they were going to send me a check for the missing packages. Called today December 22, 2020, the representative from the store said he put in the mail 'hint' regular mail. This is an UPS store you would think they would have sent it overnight due to the situation! Poor communication and customer service. read more

Christine was great!!! So friendly and so helpful from the minute I walked in to the time I left! The entire staff at this ups store were all very friendly and helpful with all of my needs and I would very highly recommend this UPS store for all of your packaging and shipping needs!!! I love this store. UPS is economical and the shop is well staffed. They sell gadgets, cards, bubble wrap, and packing items. They will fill our forms for you or take your info verbatim. The shop is tight for space and the lot r-e-a-l-ly....tight. Watch as you back out as cars fly through that lot. They have copy services there as well. I do my clothing returns there and ship to the family. Missed 5 stars after I heard an employee say "Jesus Christ" in an exclamatory way as part of a customer conversation. Not in an angry way but I think she forgot where she was... They should put up a sign " no cell phones please". Had to listen to a lady blowin' up her phone over everyone in there. Do people on cells think we are all deaf??? I have never had an issue. price and arrival options. They will pack you up while you wait or pack it later if you cannot hang out. Styro beans and bubble wrap included in packing costs and boxes are charged for. I like it is right off 95th street in a small mall on the north side. read more

I visit the ups store and unfortunately my return item wasn't in a box. The size of the item made it very difficult to locate a box that would fit this item. After going to several different places searching for a box I finally located a box but it was a lil short of covering the item fully. Store 5612 - Although I now work at home, I still have my regular visits to the UPS store to pick up packages and mail. I am notified via email immediately when packages arrive, and the packages are in acceptable/good condition, as I expect. During this time of COVID-19 where everyone is stressed, working face-to-face with the public can be challenging. I genuinely appreciate the staff's professionalism, knowledge, and willingness to go out of their way for customers. In every way, the staff is demonstrating that they are essential workers. Not very helpful. Arrived at the location around 3:30pm and they closed at 5pm that day. Came in with package to ship out to California with a client ups account number and was immediately told they could help me that I need to go the Bedford ups office which was still open. So I asked if there was any other way for me to get this package shipped out and they told I would have to pay for it out of my own pocket. They should of told me to get the label emailed from the client or ask for the clients credit card number which I out found out later. So I just decided to leave to Bedford location and give that a try unfortunately that was closed which they mentioned was open. read more

When returning an item to Amazon using the QR Code the packaging and return is free. Why was I charged $5.95 plus tax for a box? I was distracted with other business otherwise I would have pointed out to the clerk the sign to the left of my head, clearly in eyesight stating that very thing. I brought a 3 package Amazon return to this store, Amazon gave me 1 return code. When I brought it to the counter, the woman treated me like an idiot, saying I needed 3 return codes, saying they must have sent me more. She then said this is a USPS package and I was in the wrong place. I showed her the email from Amazon with the 1 return code, and directions to bring the return to a UPS store. She dismissed me and said she would not accept these packages. I went home and contacted Amazon for 2 more return codes, which Amazon said the 1 code should cover the return. The Amazon rep called the UPS rep, UPS said they should have accepted the return. What really made me angry was that I followed exactly what Amazon told me to do, which was verified as correct by the UPS rep, but I was treated like some fool who couldn't understand basic directions. read more

Now that my son is in school on the east coast, I've become a frequent customer here and I truly appreciate the excellent service that I always receive. The employees are always helpful, knowledgeable and courteous. They value your time and do their best to work efficiently and get you in and out very quickly. Brought in my son's 4 high school yearbooks and his diploma to be sent to him in Mount Holly NJ. I wanted them to package because I wasn't sure how to securely package the books. The store clerk recommended a padded enveloped and said he would secure it with packing tape. He told me they send books that way all the time. Well UPS lost/damaged my package and they refuse to refund my shopping costs or the $100 liability. UPS and The UPS Store are claiming I didn't package the books correctly. They seem to refuse to acknowledge that the clerk packaged the books. So they are refusing my lost/damage claim. I will never do business with them again but I don't believe they even care. Try FedEx or USPS. This week I sent the same son some pictures from his younger years through college. I sent them USPS and they arrived with no problem. read more

Pretty good store. I live in a big building and do a lot of online shopping. We have a few a people that live in our building that love to open packages that do not belong to them. I have my packages delivered here and never have an issue with my packages being picked up. They do charge a fee of 2$ for each package, but I dont mind paying for security. I would give 5 stars, but the weekend customer service can be a little better. read more

First, I went there on May 1 at 6:57 p.m. and the store was locked tighter than a drum. After fighting traffic to get their, and maneuver around their very difficult parking lot, I was fuming to find they close early that day. Then, second, I went back there yesterday to return AT&T equipment, only for them to refuse a receipt, saying they would take it in, but would NOT give me a receipt for returning the AT&T equipment. I was doubly fuming by that point!! Again fighting traffic and their parking lot. I called AT&T and registered a complaint, and they said this is NOT the first complaint they've received about this store not offering receipts for returning their equipment. (They are probably selling it on ebay). AT&T told me that it was a good thing that I didn't leave the equipment because then I'd have NO PROOF that I returned it. AT&T is sending me a return label so that I can drop it off at any other UPS location, I'll just be sure NEVER to return to this location, and I do NOT recommend that you use this location either -- unless you want to leave extremely frustrated like I was. read more
