Longtime customer, deeply disappointed -- avoid this location I've been a loyal customer of the UPS Store on Dawsonville Highway (Store #6134) for years and have always had great experiences -- until today. We accidentally cut the wrong label on one of two packages being shipped and simply needed it corrected. Rather than handling it professionally, the owner stepped in and proceeded to lecture me about the implications and difficulty of fixing the mistake, speaking to me as though I were a child. There was no patience, no warmth, and no acknowledgment that mistakes happen. What made it worse was watching how she interacted with her own employees -- short, dismissive, and condescending. It was clear this isn't just how she treats customers. I've used UPS Stores for years across many locations and have consistently received excellent service. This experience was a stark exception. If you're in Gainesville, skip this location and choose one of the other UPS Stores in the area. I won't be returning to this one. read more

I came in here to get help packing up a laptop that I was submitting to my employer. My employer paid for the UPS box + shipping label, so all I had to do was pack it up + drop it off at the location, but I wanted their help to make sure it was packaged securely so that the laptop wouldn't get damaged. The woman at the counter used 1 strip of tape to seal the box, and I asked her if she could add some more tape just to be safe. She said it was my job to do that, that their job is just to mail it.... I'm sorry, I thought I was at a mail center and not Walmart. read more

The people here are rude, haughty, arrogant and standoffish. It has been a repeated experience with multiple employees and I can see here that I'm not alone. We are trusting them with our finances and items and it does not elicit trust to behave in this immature way especially when I just got hung up on when I called back to ask about some thing that wasn't showing up in my return status on Amazon. I have worked in customer service throughout my life and never had a boss that would condone such behavior. You have to wonder who is in charge and setting this tone. read more

I'd give a zero if I could. I've been going to UPS #6134 location for over 10 years to do my business. Today was the first time I've been extremely disappointed and assaulted by one of the representatives. I came in and the young lady began helping me immediately. She already pulled the AT&T modem out of box to input the number to create paperwork. A customer who came in right behind me began asking her questions. The representative stopped helping me and began helping this other customer. After the the customer left I said to the young lady I'd like to make a suggestion that when she's helping one customer she shoud tell the next customer she would be right with them. Instead of apologizing to me she tried to justify her actions by stating customer was already there. I clearly had to state the customer came in behind me. She tried to further justify herself by asking another representatives to vouch for her. Only when I was adamant did the young lady state she was helping her previously and she had left but came back in with another question. I asked for an apology and she refused. She then ask the other representative to assist me in which I replied yes, I think that's a good idea to work with someone with some respect. The young lady smarts off about her being Hispanic. I quickly replied it has nothing to do with Hispanic and that was her issue and on her. The other representative helped and as im leaving said have a good day. I returned the comment by saying you too. The young lady that quit helping me was assisting another customer and just had to get a jab in as I was leaving the store. She hollered I hope you have a better day. At which I replied, I already am. All the young lady had to do was apologize or even say to me do you mind if I assist her, she was her earlier. She's turned into a racist issue and I'm still trying to figure out how she even escalated it to there. If anything, this was a racist attack on me, a middle aged white woman. The young lady invited me to the counter to help me. This wouldn't be an issue if she wouldn't have hollered out as I was leaving the store. What makes the matter worst is I believe she was talking to the store manager about the incident but the manager never came out to ask me about it. I pass at least 2 other locations that can handle the same services, but I have always chosen this store until today. This young lady needs a serious reprimand if not something more severe. Everyone is is entitled to a bad day but it's how you handled it that makes the difference. read more

Personally, I have to give these folks high marks! I drop off Next Day Air packages for title companies about 3-4 times/week, and the staff is always friendly. While waiting in line, watching them interact with customers, I've always witnessed positive experiences by others. I have visited other UPS Stores in our county and not received the same friendly, professional experience from the staff, so this one, in my estimation, stands out from the others! Unfortunately, I have to agree with the negative reviews of this one. I had a critical overnight shipment needed for a business transaction. Brad (the owner) alerted me that it was a P.O. Box delivery, necessitating USPS to complete. At that point, I was actually inclined to go across the street to the Post Office, but Brad assured me that they could do it at the same price. So, I paid a hefty $40 for next day delivery. That was a mistake. When I later investigated why the package wasn't delivered on time, the US Post Office blamed this UPS Store for putting the wrong code in. This UPS store got defensive, and said there was a technological glitch. Did I get my money back? No, they're evidently happy to just let their customers take the hit. (It is worth noting that I get great service from the UPS Store in Atlanta. When the market is competitive, the operator has to step up.) read more

I had my first need for packing and shipping today, went to the store in G'ville, I did read the other reviews on this store, was not sure where and just what it is. Boy was I surprised!! A very competent crew, very efficient in their work with the customers. As it was a Friday afternoon it was a bit busy, but in just a few min I was helped and had my job complete and ready to go, shipping is a bit more pricey than it used to be, bought any beef lately?? The older man (manager/owner?) is rude to customers. I have watched him belittle customers frequently. I had never experienced that from him until today. A brand new iPhone that I entrusted to them for shipping is showing that it was not picked up from their store. I called to inquire the process to begin a claim. He wouldn't stop taking then began shouting at me. I will use other UPS stores even if I have to drive a distance. This store should really change ownership or management. Really disappointed within the representative service . Rude as she could be ... mad because I asked questions about my package delivery . I'm even said you don't need to be rude I have question I don't know the schedules of delivery ... and she started to raised her voice at me saying that she wasn't going to talk to me anymore and she left to call the manager .. woowww and speechless !! read more

This is the most helpful and customer oriented ups store in the area. I'm always mailing packages and do my best to get to this store because I know I'll have a good experience. Sometimes you do have to wait due to the amount of customers per employees on hand. But they're a small store. I've never had anyone be rude. Keep up the great work! read more

Unfortunately this is the only UPS store conveniently located to me or I would go elsewhere. The customer service is horrible. The dozen times I've been in the past month, I've have to have them change my new address everyone and trust me, this comes with eye rolls and a lot of sighing. I send a lot of packages to out of state grandkids and other family members. Typically around Christmas I have multiple packages. The young girl i am "lucky" enough to have "assist" me treats me as its a major inconvenience to wait on me. I took my business to UPS because my prior experience with them before I moved was excellent. Guess it's time to move to Fed Ex. read more

I had art work shipped via UPS Store #6134. The owner was condescending throughout the process of shipping and packing, falsely assuring me that he could take care of the work I left in his care. The work that he packed and shipped was damaged due to their poor packing and and a complete misunderstanding of how to treat valuable works of art. Please use another store or FedEx if you are shipping something of value. read more
