Our Golden Concert Choir, a local non-profit organization, has benefitted from the printing and design services of The UPS Store on 16th Street in Golden for many years. The store has always given us great service and good prices; helpful advice in how best to complete printing and design work. The rubber met the road for us this April, 2025, when the graphic design person in our all volunteer organization suffered a medical emergency during the process of designing and printing the programs for our spring concert. No one else in the group had the knowledge or the experience to complete the task, nor access to the data from past program designs. We contacted Bev, the manager at The UPS Store, and Matt, who had worked with our organization in past years. They had the digital records of the previous year's content and organization. Matt essentially created the program using his records, and this year's specific information, plus some digital magic to build onto the graphic design our person had put into the advertising poster before being struck down. The result looked great! The store offered us the same price we had paid last year. Matt completed the project promptly. He offered us guidance on the number to print based on his records from last year. We were and are stunned by their abilities, their range of expertise, generosity to our small group, and their interest and energy in carrying the project through to completion. There is no substitute for the joy of working with a local business, and having a history of trusted interactions with them. It is truly priceless. I had the most amazingly helpful service at the UPS store in Golden ~ Store #1716. I had to lug a heavy 60 pound rug into my car, to be shipped to my husband's daughter who resides in NC. The gentleman behind the counter came out to my car and carried the heavy rug inside to ship it off to NC for me. His name is Scott (Spruill), and he was so professional and a complete gentleman. I won't go to another UPS store unless I'm forced to do so for timing reasons. I highly recommend UPS store #1716 in Golden, and I give many accolades to Scott. Customer service called me because there driver can't find the correct address, so I proceed to tell her where and what to do to make the delivery and she starts to argue with me over the directions!!! Completely unprofessional and unacceptable and I've yet to see my delivery!!! read more

I never know what I'm doing when I go in and they're always very helpful but never rushing me or being condescending. My Dad and I stopped by the UPS Store on Easter Friday; we arrived right at 6pm (by both the clock in the car, and my iPhone), with people still exiting the door as we arrived (though it latched locked before I could get to it). For some reason, they had already turned off the lights, and I slapped on the window a few times before those inside showed themselves. I pointed out to the male employee that came to the door that our clocks had said that we had arrived at 6pm, but he (and Beverly's voice from the inside) appeared vociferous and adamant that we were wrong (!? : I subsequently verified that my iPhone was aligned with the Atomic Clock to the second), and he further indicated that they had already turned off their systems, claiming this as a basis to refuse to provide service. I spoke a single sentence to the person inside, verifying that it was Beverly, who sounded quite belligerent about things... Given that they had refused to provide service, we started to drive off, when the male came out of the store and began smoking on the sidewalk. My Dad apparently felt that we should go back and talk to him further, so we swung back around. I verified with him that they refused to provide service or packages, and he further responded to queries that there was no way that they could copy things down on paper & enter them in the system when it was operational again (even though I have had them provide packages without a signature on occasions in the past). I then mentioned that it would likely be weeks before I could come back for another visit, at which he shrugged. Two weeks later, I came back to the store (5/11), and the same two were manning the desk. Beverly had recently informed me that there was a new policy that they couldn't just grab our mail along with the packages as they had been in the habit of doing (and they also appeared to be purposely ignoring me), so I just used my key : lo and behold, they had blocked access to my mail!. Beverly waxed belligerent almost immediately, claiming that the payment was late (which from my perspective was due to the fact that had refused me service on my last visit, etc, and nobody concerned failed to call me subsequently directly as other owners have done), again contested the fact that we had arrived at 6pm on the previous visit (though admitting subsequently that her checkout log apparently occurred part-way through the 6:00 minute), and further appeared to be inventing some (from my perspective dishonest), trumped up, expounded conversation that we hadn't even had to justify further hostility and belligerence, and both appeared to be attempting to insult me in front of a customer. She claimed that I would have to leave and come back on Monday to speak with an owner (reportedly recently sold to Venezuelans), who she claimed, multiple times, was going to require a 1 year mailbox subscription before they would even provide me with my property in the form of packages already received!? She ended up refusing to accept payment yet again, and I finally ended up having to call the authorities and fill them in on the situation before they would hand over my property. Although I have been in the process, It looks like it may be days further before a new mail box can be set up. I'm not sure how to I might arrange to obtain any residual mail, pay off any residual or forwarding, or return the mailbox key without encountering or having to deal with the belligerent duo. Have used this store twice. Twice they have left out the apartment number in the address I provided. Twice the shipments were delayed. Twice I had to call and correct it. With shipping options everywhere, including other UPS Stores, I won't ever use this store again. read more
