This review will be a little tricky because it involves more than just the Postal Annex store…read moreitself. I had five boxes that needed shredding which was supposed to be free from MFCU but the truck never showed. So after holding these boxes in my house for over a year I had to suckitup and pay for them to be shredded. I googled shred businesses and 521 Yopp Drive came up without a name of the business. I called the number that came up 910-400-4188. I was on the phone for 11 minutes while driving to the location. I searched more on the phone because I could not find the dang store. You have to click on another section to see the location which then still gives the number above, and then states 521 Yopp Dr #214, and .50 cent per pound but could be higher. This is not acceptable information. I finally saw the Postal Annex while driving around looking for 521 Yopp. I went in very frustrated and told the girl I have been driving around looking for 521 Yopp. The website is horrible. The number I called is not yours. Dedra was very understanding and sweet. She came out to the car and help load the boxes (because of my bad back) and then kindly took care of the process. I was thinking 50 cents a pound and when the pounds kept going up (didn't realize how much it all really weighed) I was surprised that it only cost me $45 when I was thinking $25. When I got home I saw the price per pound at .99 cent. Wow that is not what the website says. So I called the next day to inform them that they need to have Shred Nation fix the info. My suggestion would be for Annex Postal to but their own info so it pops up under shredding searches. The reason for 4 stars, is the shred nation portion but staff gets 5 stars! Thank you Dedra for your help.

I would not recommend PostalAnnex after my experience with them. My wife dropped off a package at…read morethis location, and the package was apparently lost. When we contacted them about it, we were told that my wife never dropped the package off, despite the fact that we know it was brought to the location. What makes this even more frustrating is that the package contained personal belongings, and PostalAnnex has refused to refund or take responsibility for the items that were lost. Instead of trying to help resolve the situation, we were essentially told that the package was never there. Losing a customer's package is bad enough, but refusing to acknowledge that it was dropped off and refusing to take responsibility makes the situation even worse. I expected better customer service and accountability. I strongly recommend keeping documentation, receipts, tracking information, and any proof of drop-off if you use this location. Based on my experience, I will not be using PostalAnnex again.

I was only a week out from my own wedding overseas when I realized my passport was expired, when I…read morewas sure it was not. After months and months of planning, reservations, research, spending, and family and friends booking flights and lodging... I was about to be absolutely crushed with shame and embarrassment at being unable to attend my own wedding. I still don't completely understand how I missed such a basic requirement, thinking my passport was valid for the better part of a year! I rushed online to research some kind of solution, believing I was simply f-ed, and Legal Passport was an option. I contacted them and worked with Paul, and the same day he had me on track to put my documentation and authorizations together, ship overnight to his courier team, an appointment at the regional agency for an urgent passport (I do not live in a state with an agency and would have had to flown to one, assuming I could get an appointment). I found out this disaster was the case on Saturday, had the documents with Paul's team on Monday evening, the passport processed completely by the government by Tues evening, and the passport in my hand on Friday with 5 days to spare. Really incredible. I have read reviews that Paul is rude or otherwise unprofessional. This was not my experience. He can be sharp, but it is because he wants perfect execution of what you need to put together and send so that there are no hiccups and you receive your passport. Every hang-up will be a delay and reduce your chances. He is not a magician - the government can simply take a long time or have an issue with something minor that you missed. He was extremely responsive to me on call and email and took sometimes 8 calls from me in a day. I also imagine he is dealing with a ton of very stressed people looking for an instant fix to an issue. Paul and his team helped me avoid what would have been an absolute catastrophe both financially, emotionally, familial-y. Thank you so much to you and your team. I highly recommend Legal Passport.

I can have a lot of grace and patience especially for newer staff members who may not have the muscle memory for the job just yet, but I came in this last week, waited in line a bit, and was greeted and served by a newer team member. I came with a few art pieces (none bigger than 9x12 in size) I needed packaged and shipped to 2 different addresses. We sat in there a good 45 min waiting, watching the whole time, she struggled to pack them correctly and something in me knew I should have triple checked if the packing slips ended up with the correct boxes but I decided to trust her. Side note: One of those packages was going to a dear friend who just had a huge loss in her life and the piece I was commissioned to do was to commemorate them at the funeral. I gave myself enough time to ship it out so it arrived on time. I left after waiting a long while to finish up everything and got my tracking numbers. The first package arrived when it said it was going to (the one for the funeral) and she opened it and told me it was the wrong piece. I immediately called the store and Kim was very helpful in getting me new shipping labels to then send to each person and get them to resend each package. Very thankful for her help. I was informed that my inconvenience was noted and that a manager will reach out and follow up. It's been a few days and still haven't heard anything. I can have grace for the new trainee but this is when the importance of what's shipping comes into play, you never know as a customer service rep what's super important and what's not. This particular commission getting there late affects my business and makes me look bad for not getting it there on time. This person paid good money to receive this piece on time and was very disappointed. All of that being said, I will keep coming back, I won't let this deter me from support a local business but I share this experience more for the team. I know things happen and I'm really understanding, it just affected my business in a way that may make me reconsider if I should use their packing services and just package my pieces myself. I will still come back to scan and print and ship.

It…read morehad been about two years since my last visit, and I fondly remembered what made this place stand out: the owner's friendly Great Dane and another dog (whose breed I'm unsure of). They were such a delightful pair--the Great Dane was especially calm and welcoming for its size, adding a unique, joyful vibe to the experience. Excited for my daughters to encounter them like I had in the past, I asked upon entering, "Where are the puppies?" I was met with silence, followed by a sharp response: "We put them away for the day." I tried to keep things light by saying, "Okay, well, hi--how is everyone?" but received only a curt "We're good." I waited in line quietly until a young lady assisted us. My daughter, overhearing, asked about the puppies, and I explained there was usually a Great Dane and another dog. That's when a male employee interjected harshly: "I had to put the Great Dane down--you should be careful with what you promise." I was stunned, both by the rudeness and the sad news. The female owner then clarified that the dog had MS and could no longer walk, which explained the decision. I truly apologize for unintentionally reopening that wound; I had no idea, given the time since my last visit. A lot can change in two years, and I understand the pain of losing a beloved pet. That said, the tone and delivery were unnecessarily aggressive and off-putting. I simply wanted my daughters to share in the positive, dog-friendly experience that first drew me here for my business shipments. Unfortunately, the vibe now feels cold and unwelcoming--the energy is gone, and without that unique niche, there's little reason to return. I'd recommend others take their packages elsewhere for a more pleasant interaction.
