Last year I was asked to drop off a prepaid package of blood samples to the UPS branch at the airport. We were on a specific time frame and my manager thought it'd be quicker to drop the package off at the airport branch. My manager assured me that he had taken care of everything at the UPS store and was told that all we had to do was drop off the package by a specific time at the airport. Well APPARENTLY the UPS store and actual UPS company aren't related. UPS couldn't look up the form on their computer AND of course the UPS store employee couldn't even find the order in their own system because they had rung it up a different way than normal. Oy! Wonderful staff. They have always helped me and my family promptly and professionally. I have learned quite a lot about the shipping process over the past few years come here and it was all because of people like Edie and Eliza. I don't remember the other peoples names, but they were good as well. I have witnessed, first hand, the disrespectful verbal assault towards these poor employees by the self-entitled and selfish snobs that patron this place and yet the staff do their best to expedite their requests. Most people don't seem to read their Amazon return instructions and when they get it wrong, take out their frustrations on the employees. Sometimes Amazon says to bring it in unpacked and sometimes Amazon tells you to pack and tape it yourself and print the lable. Read the instructions people! Not that difficult. Yes tape and supplies aren't free. How many times I've stood in long lines because these snobs argue about $1-$2 for tape. If you read the instructions yourself, you wouldn't need tape. Imagine several hundred people a day asking for tape. Who pays for that? Why should the ups store pay for your negligence? If they tell you that you need to remove your battery label, just do it, they're saving you from getting fined by the FAA. Don't just stand there arguing with them that Amazon said so. Amazon isn't the one shipping your junk. This nonsense wastes all of our time. Also, make sure you know what you're shipping. They can't ship it if you don't know what it is. These guys don't work for Amazon and they have nothing to do with the reason you messed up your return. They literally can only accept packages that are meant to be returned to ups. If they can't accept yours then it's your fault, not theirs. Grow up people. Seriously, I could never do this work. Every time I go in there, I feel like yelling at these customers. The patience the employees all have there to deal with these terrible customers day in and day out is amazing. I'm so happy to have these guys so conveniently located and providing such a great service. They've always served me well. So next time you stop by here to drop off your Amazon trash, maybe take another glance at your Amazon return and make sure you read it right, because you probably didn't. Have your QR codes ready and organized so you know which one go to whatever product you're returning. It would save us all the long lines. read more

We come to this location because it's close to work and very convenient. I usually try to avoid the lunch crowd and go a little after lunch time. At the busiest time there are usually 3-4 people ahead of me. The staff here is friendly and helpful and returning an amazon package is relatively easy. read more

I have unfortunately had to go to ups to PRINT postage pkgs for sending after selling on EBay and Mercari and although it's $2.20 for a blk/white print, I'm still thankful it's there. If dropping off Amazon returns, BEWARE! I dropped off 3 items one day and 2 of my items were confirmed and refunded within an hour. The next day I called the store to inquire about my 3rd item and was told that it was already en route back to Amazon so I would have to just work it out with Amazon in a week or so if it was still outstanding. Two weeks later, my item still has not been confirmed received by Amazon! Obviously, someone at UPS is confirming receipt to Amazon if I receive my refund within a couple hours after drop off... for some items. In my opinion, NOT putting my item(tools) in a taped up box was my problem. Because Amazon says you can simply drop your item off and UPS will box it for me, I feel caused my issue. Open and exposed items are very tempting for some people to simply take them for themselves. As a result, we as consumers have to be inconvenienced and contact Amazon to explain the whole situation and work it out with them. Fast, easy and the air conditioning is awesome. Employees are friendly, quick, they don't care to waste your time, and they all look like they enjoy working with each other. I appreciate that UPS is in Hawaii Kai. So convenient. I am an Amazon Prime member, but this might work for everyone: Once UPS scans my label, Amazon automatically issues my merchandise credit. No waiting for days or weeks for that money to be put back. The fact that UPS and Amazon work this well together is a great benefit to consumers. It builds loyalty. read more

Absolutely unhelpful. Wanted to get a notarized statement of true copy of passport photo for application purposes-Hawaii is a state who allows for notary to verify my own statement about a copy of own passport (had the passport, willing to make copy and statement in front of them and sign it, had additional government Photo ID as well) - but first the lady said it was illegal (it's not, it is a common request). I sorted an appointment elsewhere same day, but my color copier at home was broken so I went back to make a copy to use, and was told it's illegal to copy my own passport on their color copy machine because it would be counterfeiting. Which is also NOT TRUE. And that UPS makes out like their standard copying machine produces photo quality on plain paper much less counterfeit quality IS ABSURD! I got it all accomplished without hassle elsewhere but lazy, poorly trained staff, that kept threatening that what I was requesting was illegal was absolutely disappointing. read more

This UPS store is the best among the handful of stores I have visited so far. I usually stop by this UPS to drop off packages and to send an occasional fax. One time I rushed in before closing time to send a fax, only to realize that I had forgotten the fax number at home. Imagine my predicament. The friendly employee who was helping me quickly came to the rescue. He offered to look up the number on the Internet, saving me an extra trip to the store on the following day. May I begin with the understanding that when you walk into a store like this you expect people who don't care. I would like to bring to the attention of anyone who is reading this, that this store matters. The people who work here choose to work here. This is not your run of the mill, hire "only the people that will take the pay job" kind of place. I moved here a couple years back not knowing if I was going to stay. I chose to pay for a mailbox to ensure that items sent to me would get to where they where they were going. That was all I expected ! However, over the years, I choose to get my mail sent to this place. Over the past three years every employee that I encountered with is still working there- in this day and age that means a lot! To me, what that means is a level of dedication and customer service that I have not seen in years. If you get the chance to let these people take care of your mailing needs, be nice. These people are great people. It's easy to neglect the feelings of people that "We" as a collective, are here to serve us. Even the most mundane task such as a fax,a photo copy, an email, a print deserves the amount of customer service that this place gives you. If I could give them six stars I would. I enjoy having this UPS Store in Hawaii Kai because it is so convenient and makes my life a lot easier. Kim, the manager, is awesome. She is an expert at customer service and is very good at what she does. I usually get a coupon from my Safeway receipt for discounted copies. I believe it is 4 or 5 cents for black and white and 25 cents for a color copy with the coupon. The staff there is friendly and helpful. I like how I can make my copies and then use their paper cutter and even their scissors and glue stick to get all my work done. While I'm working, I hear them helping the other customers, mostly with mailing packages and everyone seems to be very happy walking out. If you have to mail packages, make copies, need to fax or notarize documents, even buy some common office supplies, I highly recommend going here. They also conveniently have two designated parking stalls right in front of the store, which is nice! They are located right next to Consolidated Theatre in Koko Marina Shopping Center. They also give back to their community by donating to the local schools' silent auctions. read more
