I had an Amazon drop-off for a return and chose to return it here. It's usually a pretty quick process: get your QR code ready for your return, box up the item if you need to do so, and give the return to the UPS worker. They scan the QR code, ask if you want a receipt, and then they take and process your return. It's in a fairly convenient location but parking can be a little tough if all the street-side spots are taken. The UPS Store along Kapahulu Avenue, just before Ono Seafood when heading in to Waikiki! PARKING LOT - in the back of this store! Idk yet if it's free but they validate! - Reliable shipping vendor. - Quick easy drop off for Amazon and Temu returns. - Parallel-parking which are metered stalls conveniently in front of the store right along Kapahulu Ave in the ocean direction. Parking can be difficult to find in front so you may need to take a few spins around the block, but guess what? There's a parking lot right behind the store! - Parking Lot - behind the store!! Get your parking stub validated! Three things I dislike like about the location of this store: (1) the lack of very many parking stalls, (2) no free street parking until after 6pm (?) or on weekends, (3) no actual parking lot (yes, there is - in the back!), (4) the traffic lanes fronting the store are narrow so if someone in the left lane opens their car door, the door can hit your car parked along the street. That's what happened to me by a young adult who got out of a large van stopped next to my car! I was not a happy UPS customer that day :/ I've come to this location many a time to drop off Amazon returns and just recently for dropping off Temu returns. They make drop offs easy-breezy so long as you are well-prepared. What does it mean to be prepared? Prior to your arrival, get all of your ducks in a row. If available, take screenshots of all of your UPC codes before walking into the store, and have a methodology that helps you to remember which label corresponds to which item. I put mine into a camera roll folder so that I can rearrange the order according to my packages that I'll hand over to be returned. At the counter, tell the counter person what you need done. Show the counter person the UPC return code and they will scan the code then take your item or package and affix the shipping sticker for you (probably after you leave). They will also print out a receipt for you. Be sure to jot down on the receipt what item it was since there will be no notations what it was that you returned. I never see the same staff; however, all those I did see seemed very helpful and pleasant not to mention efficient, courteous service. read more

It was a quick visit, in and out, dropping off a package to ship to the mainland so not a lot of interaction to base a review on. Counter lady was fine and when I dropped my overnight package to the mainland she reminded me it would actually take two day. I knew it as were Hawai'i but she made a comment that she had to explain it to another person so she wanted to make sure i knew. The notary seemed to be distracted with something other than trying to make the experience quick and simple. Wouldn't help me even though I was one of only 2 people in the store (there were 3 employees total). While I was waiting I asked how much the notary services were since they don't have online pricing and didn't discuss over the phone when I made the appointment. He told me it was $20 per signature. I've gotten notary services at the bank and the UPS store in Kahala for $5/signature. Not sure what was going on, but between the lack of customer service and the cost I decided to walk out. I ship out stuff almost every week for my job, and I always use - The UPS Store out of convenience. Yesterday, when I was on Maui doing some work at a Bank of Hawaii, I had replaced some parts on a machine, but since my day didn't go too smoothly, I wasn't able to make it down to a UPS Store on Maui to drop off my broken parts (to be sent back to the mainland). Shucks! I ended up having to lug back the broken parts to the airport, and taking back the broken parts with me to Oahu so I could ship out the parts next day. Lucky for me, there is a UPS Store in the Kapahulu neighborhood. I come here once in awhile, because this store is not too far from my office, but what deters me from coming here regularly is the parking situation. Not the businesses fault, but this UPS Store is located along the busy Kapahulu Ave., and there is just limited metered parking in front of the store. Please note; there are also other business along the Kapahulu neighborhood, so basically everyone is just jockeying for parking to go to the various businesses along Kapahulu Ave. When I do luck out.......... I sometimes find open metered parking just in front of the store, so I just pull over, & pop on in to drop off my boxes of broken parts. The clerk who works at this UPS Store is pretty friendly & efficient.........I would probably use this store a lot more if the parking situation was a little better, unfortunately - "it is, what it is!" That's why I tend to go to the Kahala UPS Store a bit more (which is further from my office). Overall, this UPS Store in Kapahulu is still a great place to visit should you need to get your boxes shipped out, or if you need to print something out, as I noticed they had some printing equipment. read more

He also did a local delivery without following UPS protocol (no tracking #) damaged a painting and again lied about it. He also mislead our customers on shipping costs. Long story short, we tried to return Amazon packages that needed to be shipped in a larger container, which we did not realize as we had about 20 returns from a large project. The owner, seemingly frustrated, tore up our shipping label when we didn't want to pay $46 for boxing the item. After resolving the issue with Amazon, when we came back the next day to pay to box the items, they couldn't be shipped because the label was destroyed. We were told we'd have to wait 2 weeks to ship them. When I went into the establishment to try to understand why we had been put in this position, I was treated with rude, indignant responses that culminated in being told "maybe you shouldn't bring your business here". Very disappointing services. I should have checked the previous review about the notary. I have been to the Kahala location. I paid $5 only. I believe at least once they made a copy of my documents for my record. I went to Kahala yesterday but was told only between 10 am to 1 pm. I called this location yesterday with hope that they could do... but all booked. So, I made an appointment since the service is the appointment only. It was quick. I brought my own documents. Then, I was very confused with $15 additional. I called the UPS nationwide customer care. They could answer my question about the fee. I eventually called the store and asked. All I was told is it is their standard fee. Didn't give any specific for $15. I should have gone to my bank for the notary... it is free. My banker is always nice and social and smiling.
