It's a business inside the Loews Hotel. It took an awhile to find it upstairs. When I arrived with my prepared, pre-labeled package, I had to wait 10 minutes for the staff to come help me. When the staff arrived, he scanned my package and charged me a $30 extra handling fee beyond the UPS shipping fee. $30 extra for poor service is simply not worth it. read more

I am a long-time customer of the UPS store and have consistently found the staff to be friendly and professional. However, my experience today was extremely disappointing. While standing in line to retrieve an item from my box, an employee behind the counter looked at me and said, "Don't look at me like you know me." Such an inappropriate and unprovoked comment took me aback. When I asked to speak with the manager, the same employee--who identified himself as Ryan--claimed to be the manager. I expressed that his remark was unprofessional and unacceptable. Rather than acknowledging it, he attempted to justify his behavior by saying he was "trying to help me." His tone escalated, and what began as my attempt to clarify quickly turned into a defensive and uncomfortable exchange. I told the staff he was acting like a jerk. A female employee nearby quietly mouthed, "I'm sorry," which confirmed to me that my reaction was not unwarranted. I have been a loyal customer for years, even before the current ownership, and I've never experienced such discourtesy. I told him he may never help me again. It appears that Ryan may not actually know that he is not the manager, as a petite woman with short dark hair seems to hold more authority. read more

It's disconcerting when the employee refers to Black people as "boss" and white people as "sir" or "mister". UPS needs to do a better job of training their employees. Its always a safe bet to have your employees refer to every single customer the same way. And "sir" is usually safe. I am a highly professional and educated person, i am not your "boss" despite my skin color read more

Called earlier in the week to verify when a notary would be there and was told M-F until 5 pm. We showed up to the store at 4 pm and was informed that the notary left at 3 pm. This was very frustrating - especially when I called earlier in the week to find out what hours the notary would be there. read more

This store is unorganized and the staff will lose your items. I went to this UPS Store to drop off my old phone that I was trading back in to Verizon. I initially dropped my phone off, got my receipt/confirmation with the item's tracking information, and left with no issues. Fast forward three weeks... and the tracking number (from the receipt they gave me) had still not updated as the UPS Store "had not received my device". I ended up returning to the store and speaking with one of the owners, who assured me that the package HAD been sent out, and that I would just have to file a claim for it (as it had probably been lost in the mail). A day goes by and I receive an email from the other owner, explaining to me that they actually still have my phone in the store. It turns out that when I had initially dropped off my phone for its return, no one ended up actually mailing it. It was then mistaken for being a CUSTOMER'S phone that had been left there, so it had been kept in the store's "lost and found" bin for three weeks. I stopped by the store (for a third time) to pick up my phone, turned down their offer to "mail it again", and took it to the UPS Store at 5400 59th St. No issues with mailing it at the second location, because the people working there actually know what they're doing. read more

This location is one of my favorite. The manager who has been here for as long as I've lived here basically knows me by name. They really take their work seriously and are very kind, funny and respectful. It makes any potentially stressful mail-related circumstance and makes it into something memorable and family oriented. This is the worse UPS store that I have ever been to. I shipped a letter off on Monday for $5 on President's Day. I received a receipt and tracking information.The store called me later to let me know that the cashier screwed up the payment. She wanted to take my card info over the phone and I told her no because I'm not comfortable doing that. I went back to the store to pay after work only for a guy to tell me that he didn't have a clue about this. I've tried going back several times before and after work but my work schedule and their hours doesn't seem to align. The owner is holding my package hostage. He won't ship it off or send it back to me. He's saying I need payment or you can pick it up. If I can't make it to the store in time to pay then how will I make it back to pick up the package. It's just $5. I told the owner that I would pay online but I'm not comfortable giving them my card information over the phone. That's not an option. Well apparently this store isn't an actual UPS store, it is a retail location. I called customer service to file a complaint and they informed me of this and said the store doesn't operate like a normal UPS store. I contacted the Retail Store Customer Service to file a complaint. The agent said that this is a ridiculous situation that the owner should've handled differently. There's nothing that she can do because this is an independent store. However, she will keep this complaint on file because this was the store's fault and they have shown very poor customer service. GO TO ANOTHER UPS LOCATION, USPS, OR FEDEX. SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE AND MONEY!! read more

I had to contact and coordinate with them to do the pick up, packing, and shipping of an item I purchased from an auction house in their area. They were very friendly and easy to work with, both over the phone and email, and my watch was packed wonderfully and arrived quickly. I couldn't have been more happy. read more

The manager is rude and not helpful. UPS delivery drivers are too lazy to load large packages from one truck to another for delivery and lose or steal the products. Four out of 5 of my large packages delivered were lost in transit. It takes forever to get a refund, if they decide you refund you. You better buy extra insurance for your packages, because there is a high likelihood your package will be lost, and you will be out your money if it is worth more than the standard insurance coverage. I do not recommend using UPS, or the UPS Store. This store does not help in resolving issues with delivery. The store owner says, UPS is a different company, and they have nothing to do with it, but yet they are the ones who get the refund check, that must then be turned over to the shipper. The store should be helpful in follow up on delivery claims, but instead I get hung up on. read more

I am extremely disappoint with how UPS handled my packaged mailed from Des Moines, IA. My sister sent a mirror picture on 7/31. She spent over $200.00 for the item and $60 to get it delivered. By time I got it was in a million pieces, UPS denied my claim saying it was not packaged properly. It was sent from the manufactuer so I know it was packaged correctly. The box had multiple puncture marks. I would think with UPS being such a large company they could reimburse me for my inconvinence. Sadly my sister died the next day. I was not even able to thank her for the broken mirror. Don't trust UPS with your packages! read more

I went to this store for a quick fax it was a busy time I was waited on by Megan the fax was busy because I was given the wrong number, as we found out later. She offered to continue to try when it was busy I though that was way above and beyond she even offered to call when it was finished which she did and during all of this she found out the number was bad and called me for a new one. Have been here a couple of times for Amazon returns. Parked in free 2 hour parking on the corner (not the back-in parking) both times, walked in with one person or nobody in front of me, scanned my Amazon QR, and was out in 1-2 minutes both times. Friendly staff. read more

If I have everything wrapped up (package enclosed and shipping label applied) I am able to walk in and out within seconds. But for the times I don't have everything packaged, they help me with printing shipping labels, taping the box, and getting it out of the door. Always pleasant. read more

Not a lot of people know about this location, but it's in the heart of downtown Kansas City. It's an extremely convenient location for people that live in downtown Kansas City. Every time I've come into the store, the staff are super friendly and very helpful. Shipping packages or any other assistance you need gets addressed very quickly and efficiently. The owner oversees this store and it shows in the superb customer service. This place could destroy a f_____g anvil. I have helped build crates for my sons business, they have came up with lame excuses as to why they are totally destroyed at times. Then try and make a claim with these people , they are a stinking joke. Made of wood, plywood, all kinds of foam padding, screwed together doesn't matter. Have gone though way too much time and expense to try and get things to customers without being damaged. It's time they looked at their own employees handling of merchandise, instead of always being the shippers fault. read more

The owner Bob did a fantastic job on providing a banner and tablecloth based on a provided logo! On another occasion, I utilized this store for printing formal invitations for a party.
