They will charge you $2 to print an amazon return label. Most places do this free and it takes a while. Poor service

Kind staff. They once stayed open a few minutes late for me because I was on my way with a package.

The lighting was a little low towards the back of the store. Anyway, the lady that greeted me ask for my ID. She brought the box out and said that I could get the dolly by the entrance. I said that I needed to go to the restroom first and asked if I needed to sign anything. She said to sign the monitor then proceeded to get the dolly for me. She said that she will place the box on the dolly where I checked in with her. This kind of customer service definitely deserves a five star. She went beyond the call of duty and made my life easier.

Very disappointing customer service experience at this location. I arrived with a securely…read morepackaged, prepaid FedEx shipment but it happened to be packed in a USPS-branded box. The employee refused to accept it because of the USPS markings. I asked whether the markings could simply be covered so that I wouldn't have to make another trip but she refused and told me my only option was to purchase another box. I understand that there may be policies regarding USPS-branded packaging, and I wasn't asking anyone to break a rule. What bothered me was the complete lack of effort to help find a reasonable solution. I had driven all the way to this location specifically to ship this package and instead of trying to help--such as suggesting a way to cover the branding or repack it without requiring me to purchase another box--the interaction felt dismissive and very unfriendly. Policies are policies, but good customer service is about helping customers navigate them. Unfortunately, that was completely missing from this experience.

You really need to have longer conversations about exactly what you want and he was a bit preoccupied with another job when we talked. Just a bit casual in the way he works. First of all he didn't discuss paper quality or weight which most printers I have worked with would bring up during your consultation. Additionally we wanted to hard laminate bookmarks, which he tried to talk us out of. But what he didn't do, when he printed the bookmarks is trim them where the design clearly ended before laminating them (and it was not a hard lamination) so all of the bookmarks had a 1/2 inch at the top without design. The design very clearly showed where it stopped but he did not see it or the difference from the end of the design and the bleed. I guess that was something else we needed to be super clear with him about, something that most pros would catch. Finally, he printed our programs on a heavy glossy paper that was not necessary for a program for a memorial luncheon, which made them difficult to fold. I guess I will say, that if you are going to work with Jay, make sure you discuss every single aspect of what you want, paper type and weight, trimming, etc. for every aspect of your print job. In the end, we were able to use what was printed, the program and the bookmarks just weren't exactly what we wanted. Additionally, he asked us to reformat our files and then email them to him but didn't reach out until the next day to let us know that he did not receive the file. I will say once he had the files the work was done the next day.

He was incredibly responsive and helpful during a really stressful situation, and even helped get my prints done before the shop officially opened because I needed them before 8 AM. We had moved away and were back in town and decided to visit the La Crescenta branch. My husband and I were lost due to some changes and then all of a sudden out of another isle this fabulous young man, Jake came out from one of the isles and asked if we needed any help. This was after a couple of other employees walked by us and seemed to be working hard...so they were unable to help us. That's ok we can not always expect others to drop everything and wait on us. Jake was amazing, polite, knew the entire store and where everything was. He helped us find what we needed quickly and we thanked him. I told him he was just the type of professional that I would hire to work for me. He's amazing and we expect to see him advance quickly. Thank you for hiring good employees, especially Jake. All our best to you our local Office Depot and best to Jake, too.

(Serviced 06/23/26 TU @ 4:15pm): This depot was strictly for office business!…read more It's been over a decade since I last visited Office Depot's La Crescenta location, but the timing was perfect because I was in the area for a separate reason. With all of the consolidation in the office supplies industry over the past couple of decades, I think the only ones left standing were Office Depot, Staples, and to a lesser extent FedEx, with companies such as Office Max and Kinko's having been absorbed from competitors. I've been making extended copies at my local Staples, but the costs have continuously gone up as they closed in on a dollar a page on heavy-weight paper which I really didn't need. So, I opted to try the competitor in hopes of saving some money. Was I able to deposit some money back into the bank after using this office store from my printing needs!? PURCHASE(S) 8.5"x11" Double-Sided Color Printouts ($0.70 x130): I needed to print a recent summary inspection report for an investment property we acquired to give to our general contractor as a checklist of things to focus on and repair over time. Although the per-page rate was slightly cheaper than what I've experienced, it wasn't that much different to go somewhat out of my way. The printing quality was fine, the speed was a tad slow, but it got the job done. SERVICE At this time, there were only two employees, and I was the only customer. With no salutations from either of them, I easily headed towards the self-service copy center, checked out the machines, read whatever signage there was as to how the machines worked and payment, and then attempted to make copies. Nope; something went wrong! I tried several times on the same machine to no avail. I went to another copier and finally things were working properly. After about ten minutes, my print job was done, I paid at the machine, I asked a young male salesperson for a bag to put my copies in, and I casually walked out the door. For my needs, all of this was fine, but I sorely hoped this wasn't the norm. PARKING (FREE): They had their own private spacious lot - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A large boxy warehouse store filled wall-to-wall and floor-to-ceiling and multitudes of aisles stocked with a ton of various office supplies of anything you could imagine. There was plenty of space between the aisles, shelves, and floor displays, with a smattering of promotional ads/posters about. Minimal natural lighting came through the large front windows and doors while soul-sucking fluorescent electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. There weren't any TVs while I couldn't recall any background music. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL La Crescenta's Office Depot served its purpose, but for future office service needs, I'll more than likely return to a Staples closer to me. I didn't find much differentiation between the two brands, I had a few Staples closer to me and where I normally was, and this particular location was simply dreadful in feeling like all life was sucked out of it. I walked around, and I saw nothing (even less!) that I couldn't get at Staples. The printing prices may've been slightly less, but it wasn't worth it. And, the service was mostly non-existent and hidden. I found good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $100.00 BEFORE any discounts, points usage, and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 3.0 STARS
