I was having an issue rerouting a package to be picked up here instead of my residence (it required a signature and I wasn't going to be home) but I was told that UPS has to take care of it on their end because this place is just a waypoint. Good to know, but disappointing as I had already tried the customer service line and wasn't able to resolve my issue. I wasn't allowed to speak with an actual person and the automated phone tree did not give me an option for rerouting my package.

My car broke down on the 10 interstate so I had to tow it to Lordsburg, NM and get a motel room. I ordered the part (a water pump) online from Vescovo Toyota (which is now Viva Toyota). None of that matters anyway because the subject of the matter is UPS. I ordered the part on a Monday morning (early). They gave me a deadline of 7pm Friday, but on that particular morning I called Vescovo Toyota before they shipped out the part so I could add overnight express delivery, The guy at the parts department at Vescovo told me that that won't be necessary as we were only 120 miles away, so the part would be here the next day. Every day that it didn't arrive was costing me another $100 in motel room expenses Remember, the part was an hour and a half to two hours away. That was Monday. Tuesday came and went. Wednesday came and went. Thursday came and went. When the deadline of 7pm on Friday came and went, I just could not believe it. I couldn't even fathom how incompetent that was -you would have to TRY to not get something (that is only 120 miles away) there in 2 days, let alone 5. So, after the deadline, I called UPS and they are "incommunicado" with their drivers. ???????????? I couldn't afford another $100 for the hotel room so since it was cold that night, I risked driving the car and made it to El Paso where I got the part somewhere else and installed it in their parking lot. Halfway to El Paso, UPS had the nerve to call me and tell me the part was just delivered to the Motel 6 that I had waited for 5 days at (paying $100 a night.) for a part that was less than 2 hours drive away. They sell socks, hand creams, random nicknacks but not actual shipping supplies? Make it make sense. They also do not provide shipping receipts. This location is closer to my work, but another location from same company that is closer to my house do sell shipping bags and always provide a shipping receipt for all drop offs. Why is each location so different? And shouldn't postal annex prioritize shipping supplies? At the end, i drove to ups store to buy shipping bags then drove back to the postal annex to drop off the item to ship via fedex.

There are 2 locations very close to each other in downtown El Paso, we went to the one clearly with the money change service and could not have asked for better service. Parking was easy. I speak some Spanish but it was unnecessary, as the lovely woman at the window spoke perfect English. And the exchange rate was extraordinarily low. Our bank in Santa Fe charges $25 for the service and offers a horrible exchange rate. This side trip added a very pleasant day to our trip and eliminated the stress of that part of the trip. We will use them again.

(I knew that my regular Northbound stop on Norzagaray included El Sancho Barbacoa, smaller notes would be appreciated. This is not the first time I've been able to change money at this excellent facility. The fact that it is so close to the border and where I cross really adds to the convenience. Then pushed me wrapper back at me with a smirk on his face. How difficult is it to throw the ripped wrapper into the trash?Why would I take it back?
