Trying to give some grace as I don't know how many people were working here this day but my goodness. The line was soooooo long. People walked in and immediately walked out because of how long the line was and because of how big the package drop off pile was. People were concerned about where to leave the package and whether it would be seen or fall off the overflowing pile. Some people were there only to buy stamps. What a wild time to wait almost an hour to only buy stamps. I was there because a package was allegedly delivered to my mailbox but it wasn't and there wasn't a parcel locker key left nor was it left at my door. The idea that I had to track down my package and still never receive it is wild to me. The post office is sad, poorly lit, and depressing inside. Honestly, not my favorite place and I genuinely go out of my way to not go to any post office or use USPS. The service is so unreliable. I wish I had something good to say but I simply don't. read more

I've been in town for maybe 4+ years and I keep getting other people's mail, despite complaints and the forms I fill out. They don't live at my address and I don't know them. If I was a criminal I could easily take advantage of these people because I've been getting everything from pills to financial information. WAKE UP and stop giving away other people's lively hoods. Like one ladies mail keeps getting delivered to my home. I looked her up online and her obituary says she's been dead for some time. I explained this to the large guy with glasses behind the counter and he asks why she's dead. Great job at missing the point entirely. You all also have a habit of delivering my mail to the wrong address. One of the addresses is 1600 Candlelight Dr, Las Cruces, NM 88011. If I get more than 1 package in a week you deliver it to someone else. You do this all the time. I now have video evidence of your person NOT delving my mail on the day she says she did. I sent you this video and surprise, you did nothing. There was a time were they use to just hand my mail to whatever person that would standing near my mailbox. If someone comes to this post office and asks for my mail ahead of time they'll literally just give it to whoever. They've wrongfully given my packages (both being sent and received) to whoever. I tried to send a friend in Canada some stuff and they wrongfully handed it over to people who were stalking me. read more

We bought a house at the end of August. Then we realize we don't have a mailbox key. The seller stopped responding. So I go to the post office on September 6th 2025 to request new keys. They said it would be 2-3 weeks. After about 3 months of telling me they are super behind. Then they tell me I'm non postal and hire a locksmith to do it. My husband calls around. No one will touch it since it's government property. Then they said they will just have their supervisor change it. It's been over 4 months and I just got my keys on January 15th 2026. The workers were always super nice BUT that's just a ridiculous timeframe. You shouldn't be allowed to do that to people. It's such an inconvenience and there's literally nothing I could do about it but take it. I really hope y'all get your crap together so no one else has to go through what I did. read more

So once again the post office has proven its incompetence. Starting with their carriers. If you can't get a parcel locker to open don't worry they'll talk to you like you're stupid and don't know how to work a key. Delivered two of my packages to the wrong places. I had them look up where the packages are with gps, they said they would go get them and then I get a call that they're gone. They had to audacity to tell me to go get a refund from the companies I bought them from because they fucked up and can't get their shit together. Bernie, the guy at the window is an unbelievably rude guy. I have experienced him on several occassions. Not only is he unbelievably slow, no matter how long the line is, he seems to spend his days in utter boredom and working it out on customers. Yesterday he was refusing to take my envelope, tossed it back in my face and told me to go find another postoffice. I wanted to drop off a padded envelope with a little handknitted sweater for my newborn granddaughter in Belgium. He ruined the whole experience for me. He obviously does not understand the concept of customer being king. This is not the first time. That man is not suitable for dealing with customers. I will take this further up. read more

It is Christmas Eve and I was just told by a carrier running parcels that the REASON MY ENTIRE NEIGHBORHOOD HAS NOT RECEIVED MAIL IN TWO DAYS is because "the rural carriers keep calling in sick." Myself and four neighbors were out at 845pm last night WAITING for Xmas cards, parcels, etc. This is NO EXCUSE. Get your post office in order. I will escalate this without a doubt, and two neighbors I talked to will as well. Letter carriers are out until 9pm all over the country on Christmas Eve and you ARE NOT CAPABLE OF DEALING WITH CALL-INS? Get it together or find another line of work. I am also a public employee dealing with the "peak," dealing with COVID, and working 16 hour days to provide a guaranteed service to people. What in the hell is wrong with you? read more

I really love our Las Cruces Postal Service! I live downtown and do most of my shipping and pick-up at the Las Cruces Avenue Building. Staff members are pleasant and extremely helpful. We have a number of postal delivery staff that seem to rotate, and I give them so many kudos for being thoughtful and informative...and who often go out of their way to make sure I've received a package from the other side of the world. I am disgusted at all of the self important people that were complaining during the height of covid. Issues abounded all over the country with employee shortages due to covid sickness (NOT laziness!!!). When you have 25 employees to deliver to 20 routes, what are you supposed to do when 15 of those employees call in sick. Drivers are limited to 12 hr work days by contract. By comparison, truck drivers are limited to 11 hour work days. This is NOT an office job where you can sit in a chair for 16 hours. Hire more people? During covid? Go ahead and give that a try. Drivers were all working overtime. Drivers were brought in from other locations. This was a national crisis and should not be blamed on any one post office. Wow. read more

Was told to take to mail drop, I can't disabled. Said, mail carrier would stop by to pickup, following day. No one showed up. Thursday no mail, called, no one answers phone. I placed a hold on my mail for a couple of weeks (through USPS.com) and despite all the hoops I had to go through to get this process approved, the notice never reached this post office. The postal carriers kept delivering mail to my address and the staff here did't have any answers for me. It doesn't matter now but if I have to do this again, I'll go in and fill out a form and make sure someone processes it. read more

Talk about worthless! I had a package shipped from GA on 2/5. It is now 3/8. Took an act of Congress to track it down. Finally got moving and I was able to track. It was out for delivery today 3/8 and at 4:08 I got a text that they were unable to deliver as they could not gain access. I have a circular uniumpeded driveway and a security camera on both the gate and front door. No one has been here to deliver anything. Tried to contact the post office and got the main branch but they are now using the Commerce office for all packages to my address. They were very nice. Tried to contact the Commerce office and they don't even respond. This is the third time I have had to track down a package that had erroneous information posted. read more

So yeah the post office people get butt hurt if you do not write the sending address exactly where they want it on your package. I always thought nobody looked at the writing on the box after they type the information in the computer and print the label. They only said it was confusing and told me to do it over and get back in line. Next time I will go to a UPS. They are nice and don't treat me like an idiot. read more

I hope for the love of god any of you never have to go through this specific USPS. Good luck getting your package delivered the same day it says it's supposed to. The drivers who work there mark a package as delivered even if it's in a completely different zip code from where it was supposed to be delivered. USPS is a terrible service that is only worsened whenever you have terrible post offices like this where the employees are just looking to get out early and not caring about getting out the mail to people who need it. I lived in NY all my life and never have I ever have items stolen to the extent that I have in one month of living in Las Cruces, NM. Items from parcel box, as well as my regular mailbox have gone missing--repeatedly. I now will only order from places that don't use USPS as their provider. Ridiculous. Let me help out my local post office with these reviews. I drop off 30+ packages a day into their office. Never once have I had an issue with employees, the flow of the office or ease of dropping off my parcels. They are extremely helpful when I need a cart because the table is too packed. They are always fully stocked on flat rate boxes and always super friendly. read more

I've complained numerous times to supervisors about mail being destroyed because the carriers are too lazy to put something into a parcel locker - which are ALWAYS EMPTY!!
