My 5 stars are for Ryan. He was very professional and answered all of my questions while explaining the options available. Very knowledgeable about his job. That is except for when the owner/manager was butting into our transaction. I was shipping a package to Texas, which Ryan explained by choosing ground it could take an estimated 7 days. However, if I wanted it there within 3 days or so it would cost more to not use ground. I chose ground. There were other aspect that were important to the shipping that I was trying to convey to Ryan, but the manager kept interrupting us about my transaction. I finally turned to him and told him that I only wanted to converse with Ryan and asked him to stop interrupting us. 2 Stars to the manager. Although I feel he means well he lacks in my opinion good employee manager skills. I call what I witnessed a Micro-manager. It appeared to me the manager was leaving for the day but could not keep to himself and let his employee do his job. This next statement is to the manager should he happen to read this review. The more you interrupt your employee the more likely mistakes will occur and in the end the poor employee gets the blame. Your employee will not learn if you constantly hover. Trust your employee to do the job you have hired and trained him to do. Also Mr. Manager a practice I don't like here is that I don't get to review the label to ensure the ship to address is correct. The UPS store on Market St in Leesburg and the two UPS Stores in Frederick, MD have a practice of doing the label with the customer present. The label is given to the customer to review for correctness, even if the transaction has to be boxed. I hope you consider this and use this practice in your store. While visiting the store last week during a rather busy time, I was quite impressed with the employee on duty, Colton. My visit occurred around 6:00 pm--a rather busy time with the UPS truck arriving for evening pick-ups and two additional customers requiring assistance. If Colton had merely been pleasant (which he most certainly was,) that would have been sufficient considering the "juggling" required. However, he proved himself exemplary across the board--in his efficiency, thoroughness and professional knowledge of responsibilities and duties. The place for Passport Renewals !! I expected to obtain my passport photos and then spend the morning at the post office trying to expedite my passport renewal. Instead, I not only received the photos, but in less than 20 minutes, Steven Lee reviewed the application to be sure I had not missed a required form or signature and expertly sent my application to the PO BOX for the National Processing Center. The next day, I received an email stating the package had been received and my passport was being processed! I always get great, friendly and helpful service at this store. Most of the time, I'm just dropping off packages that are prepaid so the store doesn't even make money from me but the owner, Steven, always remembers my name (even wearing a hat, sunglasses and mask) which is the hallmark of good service for a small business. In the past, I have shipped oddly-shaped items and they have always helped me pack them safely. In a world of grumpy workers and commodity shipping services, this team is a breath of fresh air.
