I have frequented this store a dozen times before and have had good experiences. The purpose this time involved shipping 18 LP Albums to a friend in Colorado. We never discussed how quickly I wished the package to arrive and was shocked when he told me me it was going to be $175. After expressing shock and inquiring why it was so expensive I was told it was a combination of things. After 5 minutes of discussion he finally shared that there were less expensive options to which I replied, yes please. He said if I didn't care when the package arrived it would cost $55. I asked what the difference was. He said the $175 would get it there by Tuesday and the $55 would get it there by Wednesday or Friday. The owner walked in from the back and asked how I was doing. I said I almost had a heart attack when I was told it would cost $175 to ship my package and asked why it took so much prodding by me to discover that a less expensive option was available. And why did the clerk assume I wanted the package to be expedited. The clerk said that customers who come in on a Saturday usually want packages to be expedited. After sharing my concern that such an assumption was made, and no explanation of the different options was provided, the owner waved off the clerk and they both went into the back room. I guess I should have looked up their Yelp rating before using them. read more

I've only used this store once. I normally box and ship things myself via usps but had a fragile, odd shaped item needing to go to California. The owner, Mr. Lee, was not making any promises but said he would try his best. Well, his best was perfect. My item arrived safe and sound. I can't speak highly enough. Worst UPS I've ever used. Went in with a package in its original shipping box and prepaid label ready to send back to a company. The man behind the counter took the box and then said, "$1.00 for tape. You need to pay $1 to tape the box". I said I've never been asked that before with a prepaid label. I said I would take the box back and go to another UPS store. I found this very shady and rude. I wouldn't recommend using this UPS store. read more

I currently and for many months rent a UPS box at this location. The staff has always been fast and efficient, friendly, and courteous. Many times I have forgotten my key and they are so kind to give me my mail. I ordered two packages 57 lbs. each delivered to this location. The male employee volunteered to help me load them into my vehicle without me asking. I was happily surprised and grateful. This is definitely going over and above to help their clients. Horrible service.. I went to the store to return a dress that I bought online, with my infant sleeping in the stroller. The guys sent me back home because I hadn't taped the return form to the envelop. And he was rude even in the way that he spoke to me. He talked to me like I was a dumb person. Asking if he was supposed to mail the package and the paper separated. It's not the first time that this guy is rude to me, the only reason I came to his store was because it's the closest to my house. The other time I came to ask about their notary service, which is free in any bank, and he was rude also. Regarding taping the return paper to the package, it's not the first time that I had to return something and I never had this problem before, no one ever got mad at me because it was not previously taped, not to say to be rude and send me back home. read more

I would give this place a NEGATIVE star rating if I could. Absolutely horrid. Wondering why? 1.) It's taken 7 DAYS. 7 FREAKING DAYS for my package to get to Dallas. With any other ups store, it take 3 days. 3 days. But with this HORRID UPS store, it takes 7. ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!???!!!! This place sucks. 2.) The manager/owner (?) is SO RUDE! I was standing there when he literally asked his new employee "do you think you can help this customer with out messing up this time?" Really? I felt like I was getting in trouble too. Got a phone call giving me 2 days notice on renewing my mailbox I had with them. I'm thinking at least a week's notice should've been required to allow me to update addresses to have stuff stop being mailed here. 2 days to get that done is ridiculous. I've never had an issue at any of the other UPS locations I frequent in Loudoun County. They are always extremely helpful and kind. Today, I decided to visit this location and was EXTREMELY disappointed by the service and attitude. When I walked in the first response I get is "What do you need?". Upon explaining that I have a few packages to ship, I asked for the plastic sleeves to put my preprinted labels in. He informed me that they don't give those out and he would charge me a dollar per package. Don't get me wrong, it's not the dollar that's the issue but the fact that NEVER does any other location charge for the sleeves when you've already paid for the shipping. At that point I declined and decided to go elsewhere. After looking at my gps, I decided "Ok, I'll just pay it". I go back inside and ask for help. When the man comes out I informs me to next time bring someone else to help lift the packages. YOUR'RE UPS DUDE!! It's YOUR job to lift the packages. I'm the paying customer. At that point I left. i am very surprised at the negative reviews and claims of rudeness. I have been using pack and ship services here for my business for the past couple of years and have only received outstanding customer service from the staff. Recently there was damage to a package and they took care of everything and handled it quickly and efficiently. I think all the griping about taping boxes is ridiculous. I have to pack and ship a ton of things for my business and packing tape is expensive so I don't think it is unreasonable at all to charge for taping. read more

Seriously.... The UPS Store... that DOESN't Have UPS supplies. I go in there for an Amazon return, but they want you to buy a plain yellow office-type envelope for $3.50. I could have put it a FedEx (soft) envelope at home if I had known, I'm sure UPS doesn't really care. But the envelope I had didn't have a window slot for the label, and I didn't have the tape. And BTW they wanted $10 for the little roll of tape on the little plastic cutter thingy. This guy is just ridiculous, knew I should't have gone there, it was not my first unpleasant experience with the same guy. And it looks like a lot of others on here are in agreement. Sorry. He had me unpack all my stuff to prepare for shipping only to tell me that they charge $1 per box to tape them up or I could buy a roll of tape. NEVER have I had to tape up my own stuff. My company delivered a package for a customer to this location. The customer was not able to be home to sign for the package sicne his wife was in a hospice faculity. This UPS store was near the location. We redirected the package to the store under UPS's advisement. The package was delivered, but when I customer arrived to pick it up he was turned away and the owner sent the package back to our business. When we called to ask why we were told "drugs or guns or anything could be in there". Seems to me this guy is hiding something or at the very least just plane rude and unhelpful. This is the first time in 20 years of living in America that I have been charged for putting a piece of tape on the UPS Shipping Box. I think the box was taped fine but Mr. Lee insisted he would not accept the package because it was not taped correctly and put just one piece of tape and charged me a dollar for it.... I travel a lot for business and felt immediately like I was somewhere in Asia.... not a huge deal but UPS should either correct him or remove him... this is bad customer service and leaves a bad taste in the mouth. I will follow up with the USP Corporate Office; I intend to live in this community and his behavior, actions and attitude do not reflect what customers expect here, i am only writing and will follow thru so the experience can be improved for the future... no need for any one to have a negative experience... absolutely not necessary. read more

He was fast and efficient, and was able to still greet each other customer with a smile and greeting. This is my go-to UPS store for shipping or packages. This store has poor customer service. I had a package that I needed to get out that night. It had 2 items to be packed together. The UPS truck pulled up behind me and I asked if hte package could be shipped out that day. I was told yes, then asked if it was needed for next day delivery. I did need it delivered the next day. After filling out the paperwork, quickly, paying for the package, my material was sent to the back of the store. When I asked if the package could be shipped out on the truck that was being loaded outside, I was told that it was not shipped next day air, or 2-day air. Looking a little confused, I was then told that there were several packages ahead of me. Had I known he couldn't make it happen, I probably would have gone down the road to the fed ex, which is where I will be shipping my material from now on! read more

I've been going to this particular location for 5 years now. Mr. Lee provides fantastic customer service and remembers all his customers by name. My son was in a school program on a small island in British Columbia, and Mr. Lee helped me track and send packages there when no other carrier could/would spend the time. He recently helped me send documents to 5 locations during the worst weather ever - again sensitive to what we needed to accomplish. Based on prior reviews, yes Mr. Lee talks and works fast - not rude, just efficient because he knows his product, what he's doing, and the best way to accomplish what is requested. He is very personable and makes his store feel like part of the community rather than just a postal service place. I've always seen him work hard and have always had everything shipped perfectly and accurately. This is not the closest location to my home, but it is the one I always use because of the exemplary customer service and home town feel. read more

So, went there last night to return a prepaid textbook. First of all, the two young adults in the store were sitting down playing on their phones. They did not get off their phones until I made it all the way up to the counter and was standing there for about a second. Then, the young lady informed me that they would have to charge me for tape. CHARGE ME $1.60 for ONE strip of tape to close up the box. REALLY???!!! I have never seen a shipping company charge for tape. It sort of seems standard if you ask me, and this company never used to charge as well. Maybe if you did not pay to put out the chocolates and not charge for the packing tape, you might not be getting a crappy review. read more

The person who worked at this location on 5/15/13 should NEVER be allowed to work with the public. I had a question about a delivery, but he never even asked me for a tracking number. He asked me if I had a box there, but when I said no, I'm the shipper, he proceeded to tell me that terrorists and drug dealers ship to his store and that my package could be one of them because he didn't know me. He spoke down to me like I was a small child. When I could finally get a word in, I tried to explain why I was calling, but he continued on his rant about terrorists and drugs. He then asked me if I would receive a package at my home that wasn't addressed to me. I said no, but I'm not a UPS store that serves the public. I got angry that he called me names, but then he told me the call was being recorded and hung up on me. That guy is off his rocker and should NOT be representing UPS in anyway. read more

When I entered the store, I was greeted instantly and asked how I could be helped. Mr. Lee was extremely courteous and helpful. During my visit, another customer walked in and was treated the same way, and i thought to myself, wow, this was not what i had read about this store. Mr Lee, the manager, is RUDE beyond belief. I had to file a claim with UPS because Mr Lee claimed he did not have my package even though the tracking information had him as the person signing for the package!!!! Mr Lee told me he signs for many packages everyday, so he cant possibly be responsible for all of them. What a joke! Instead of helping me, he became very angry, rude and verbally aggressive towards me. I felt very uncomfortable being alone in the store with him. Once UPS began investigating Mr Lee and his store, magically, my package appeared in his store. This package was a high value item. I think its suspicious he signed for the package but then claimed he didnt have it. I will never use this store again. I filed a complaint with UPS store corporate offices, they said Mr Lee needs to be "retrained". I dont know how he is in business with that kind of attitude and treatment of his customers. read more
