I went in the Hurstbourne Lane store to make an Amazon return today. Ben Cox, the manager-was very rude to me. I said I didn't think it said that I needed a box, just a label- he looked at me and said,"show me where it says that". I told him I'd buy a box if needed and that I felt like he was trying to call me out. Mr. Cox continued to say, "show me where it says that" as I was pulling up the return details on my phone, I told him I must have been mistaken and I'd buy a box. He continues with "no just show me where it says that". I told him again he was being rude and he said, "I. am genuingly interested, where does it say that"? I told him he was being rude and looks at me and says, " you can take that somewhere else, I'm not taking it." I cannot believe this guy is in management, he is angry, confrontational, condescending, rude and sarcastic. read more

As a professional who drops in many UPS stores for work/returns etc., I'd like to share that this store is run by aggressive, curt employees. (Nia being the most inappropriate) I have zero doubt there are complaints galore on this individual. The management seems to be fine with her, suggesting they are desperate to get people to work there. read more

Ben Wells does not need to be a manager at your store Maya! When a customer has an issue he is rude and has no apology for staff telling me it is cheaper to send a pkg. through UPS over post office. I called to file a complaint and Andrew answered the phone. Same person who told me it was cheaper to send this pkg through UPS. I asked to speak to a manager and he repeated you want to speak to a manager, yes I said then he said manager wasn't there. Can I speak to a manager on duty? Then Ben gets on the phone, listens to my complaint then in a rude tone says And? I said I want my $12 back for the $25 I paid to ship this pkg. Ben said you're not getting a refund in his smart Alec tone. And to your reply on Google review Maya I did not prank call your store. I called to try and speak to a person who wasn't so rude. You as a owner should know to call and reach out to customers other than put your reply comments back to upset customers backing your staff always without hearing other side of story. Be proud your reviews are at 3.4%. That speaks volumes of your rude management!! I'll make sure everyone I know not to patronize your store! Oh and another thing I've called twice since my review on google to speak to you and no one answers the phone, goes to voicemail and I left two messages asking you to call me. You won't last with these rude employees treating people with issues at your store going on and on. It appears you have more complaints than compliments!!! Do better! read more

I always get the best service here and I'm not always the easiest customer. Whether I need to mail something, do an Amazon return, shred documents, get photos or need a notary, this is my goto place. The service is always the best. Latest was having photos printed from digital. They worked with me to get the best results on multiple photos that had issues. Even edited out some things on one of them. Great service is a dying art, but it lives at the UPS on Hurstbourne. read more

I have been a customer at this location many times since moving here from out of state a few years ago. We have been loyal UPS customers since the early 80's. Today is the first time I have ever been treated so rudely or unprofessionally! I took a package in to be shipped, I had a label in my phone that had been emailed to me by the company that authorized the return (a company that I use regularly & that contracts nationwide with UPS). In the past, I have gone to this location and have had similar transactions, the clerk has always done whatever it is that they do to take care of getting the packages shipped. In the past, the employees have always been very friendly, very helpful & appreciative of my business. Today however, I encountered the one person that in my experience should be the highest example to all employees, "The Manager"...... he was rude, belligerent & downright mean! When I showed him the label in my phone, he immediately said in a very rude tone "you have to email that to us so we can print it, that's $2.65" I said "I've brought packages here before & the employees have always been able to take care of it" He said "that's a different kind of label, it's all spelled out here (as he held up a laminated instruction sheet) you have to print it yourself or pay us to do it, it's all in your email, maybe you should read it. All Amazon returns have the same instructions." "This isn't an Amazon return, this is a manufacturer who has authorized the return of their product " "Well whatever it is, you have to follow the instructions." As I started to pick up my package, he said in a loud & rude tone "I guess reading the instructions is important" to which I said as exiting "I guess treating your customers with a little respect is also important". Now.... if I didn't read the instructions in my email, that's on me, I've returned packages before & have never been told there are different kinds of labels, I've never been treated like I had done something wrong when simply trying to use a businesses service. I realize that this man doesn't know that I'm battling terminal cancer & that I'm fighting for my life or that this package has sat on my kitchen counter for almost a week because I haven't had the strength to leave my home so when I finally got the strength to run a few errands today which included returning this package then going to the pharmacy for medications, maybe I didn't take the time to read the instructions in the email.... my apologies for the inconvenience, I actually thought you were in the service industry...... Now, for the rest of the story..... after leaving there quite upset, I went to the pharmacy & then needed to stop at Kroger, the Plainview Kroger is close to home so as I pulled in there, I remembered there is a small shipping service in that shopping center. I went in with the package, opened my email & the gentleman at the counter "Scott" very kindly asked if he could see my phone. He took my phone, emailed the label to the store, printed it & taped it on the box. I asked him if I owed him anything for doing that & he actually looked surprised as he said "why would I charge you for that, that's what we're here for". What a stark contrast in customer service! I will never, ever, ever use The UPS Store again! From now on, I will go to The "Fragile Pack" in the Plainview Shopping Center & I will be sure to tell everyone I know about this experience. If the man I encountered is the owner, he should lose his franchise because he is hurting the UPS brand. If he is an employee, he should be fired, no one with that kind of attitude should be in the service industry! I've managed some large successful businesses before having to retire and I would have never tolerated such deplorable behavior. I had a large shipping order that had to go out ASAP. Went to the Plainview UPS store and while shipping is their business their employee Ben Cox excelled in customer service. He was suppose to leave for the day but stayed to see that my order was shipped to all of my specifications to recipients across the country. Thank you Ben! Went by UPS store on 12/18/2021. Had two packages to return going to different places. They were big so I stopped and put on curb in front of store before I parked. By the time I got to the store they had already brought in both packages and had scanned in the one with a label. Team worked very well together and I was out in 30 seconds. Needed my ID Notarized for family inheritance which I'd never had to do before, In the middle of the pandemic I was worried I wouldn't be able to get it done, I'd tried several places that were closed or had employees off sick but went to this UPS location, Very friendly and helpful and easy, If I need that service again I will go here first! read more

I went in to get docs notarized as I was in the area. There was not a cost posted and the associate started notarizing the docs. Halfway through the 2nd doc out of 4, he mentions that I it is $10 per doc. At this point, it was a little too late. 5 minutes later and $40 lighter in the wallet, my docs were notarized. I politely emailed the owner and let her know that I thought it was wrong for not having it posted or disclosing it upfront. Maya replied back apologizing for the associate not mentioning the amount, never mentioned the fact that it wasn't posted but wouldn't agree to a partial refund. She said "sorry, that's our fee". Shame on me for not asking, but poor ownership who didn't really care about my concern. read more

Printed birthday invitations today and the cashier Stephani was very helpful and patient with me. I had my 11 month old and 2.5 year old with me and was trying to decide print qualities and quantities and she worked with me very patiently and tried different option to get the best results. Would recommend this location to anyone wanting printing services! read more
