I have had a mailbox here since 2009. First off, it's not a P.O. Box but a real address, so they accept any type of delivery or package. They will email you as soon as a package arrives. They offer 24 hour access. They are always friendly and helpful. There is always a parking spot too. If you move around, travel or just hate mail this is the way to go! Also, if you like online shopping, what is better than your package always being signed for and guarded until you pick it up. No more sticky finger neighbors to steal your stuff. read more

They sent me an email saying that I didn't fill out the shipping form correctly, but in fact I did fill it out correctly. But then they said that they will refund the added charge. This package was shipped in a box rated for 275 lbs, with double walls. The product only weighed 30 lbs and was over packed to the point of silliness. Short of dropping an anvil on the box nothing should have crushed it. But it did arrive crushed. read more

They quoted me $30 more to ship a ~30lb. backpack than Fedex on Hennepin a few blocks away. That's fine, but they were a bit rude when I said that I would need to get a quote from Fedex since theirs seemed high, and tried to say it would be the same price. Sure, they're trying to make a profit, but if you want friendlier, cheaper service walk a few blocks down to Fedex. read more

If you thought that the manager was hostile you should deal with the hostile little man who was working there on Saturday morning (8/31/2013). I requested a box to ship my shoes for repair. He measured them and requested payment... everything fine so far. Then I asked for the box so that I could do the packaging myself. He said that they don't allow customers to do-it-themselves for "obvious reasons"... Excuse me... fine then sell me the box and I will take it outside, package it in the car and return... again he began arguing, " I am a professional, I do this all day... this is my job..." Sorry, son. Even if you have done packaging every day of your short little life, you have not packaged more things than I have, and if your idea of professionalism is arguing with customers you have a lot to learn about being a professional. There are many options for shipping in Minneapolis. I will not use the 2751 Hennepin Ave UPS Store again. read more

Depended on UPS shipment to arrive in LA today, but the local shipper got it out a day late. Have had good service over many years, but this was awful. Shipment, valuable antique is going to sit in a trailer until the 31st. Under new management maybe? Next time I'll find another store. read more

I wish I had read the online reviews and ripoff reports before signing a contract with this place and trusting them with my mail. Judy Longbottom is as rude as they come. Not to mention they charge more for every service than any other location. In 5 years of renting a box at this location, I have encountered Judy Longbottom twice. The first time is when they misplaced a large package that came for me. The amount I paid for the order was $5,700 and it was insured with UPS by the sender. Once it is delivered and signed for, the UPS insurance is then expired. Judy told me not to worry as the store will reimburse me $100 for the lost package. They located the package the next day after I filed a claim with UPS. Judy called me and was irate that I contacted UPS directly. Now, the 2nd time dealing with Judy Longbottom has been much worse. I went to pick up my mail and no packages were waiting for me, then after returning home, I see a 2 hour old email alerting me there is a package. I was confused and wanted to make sure the package was there before driving in the snow again. I called and spoke with a polite employee but was then interrupted rudely by Judy Longbottom. Judy jumped on the phone and jumped straight down my throat. She started badmouthing her customers, claiming they take advantage of her and the store's limited space, whatever that means. She got very hostile and rude. I asked why she was so upset and even more upset than me and I'm the one inconvenienced. She got even more disrespectful and hung up. I go down there to get my package and asked an employee if there was someone I could call about the way Judy went off on me. Judy overheard us, abruptly abandoned her customer and came over, interrupted us, started talking over me, getting belligerent and claimed that she was yelling over me because she is tired of me as a customer. She claims that a year ago she had to listen to my complaint and wasn't going to again this year. The complaint she was referring to was the claim I filed for a lost package with UPS. This seemed to be a rather vindictive reaction to a customer that just wanted to speak to someone about the abusive behavior Judy displays in the store and on the phone. She then started threatening to stop accepting my mail. An employee of hers then stepped in and tried to defuse the situation. Poor guy, nice guy was stuck in an awkward position as he tried to defuse things, his boss, Judy Longbottom kept escalating the matter instead of walking away. She was actually standing there as a middle aged business owner and made silly, childish facial expressions while an employee half her age was actually trying to calm everyone down. Customers were visibly embarrassed for her behavior as they stood there shaking their heads. I left the store, called Corporate Headquarters and filed a formal complaint. The very next day, Judy Longbottom then wrote a slanderous online review for MY company, whom she has never done business with, making threats of violence and trying to encourage customers of mine to only call if they have plans of assaulting me. A very outrageous, vindictive review to leave for a company she has never used before. I knew right away the review was from her as she also left a review for her 3 UPS Stores on the same day and specifically naming herself as the reason for the fake positive review. This woman obviously has no scruples or integrity. There are many ripoff reports online describing how she overcharges customers, blames customers for the store's mistakes and is very confrontational when someone questions prices or policies or generally has an issue that could be addressed with customer service skills rather than hostility, vindictive behavior, childish facial expressions, threats of violence and fake online reviews for companies she has never done business with. The phone call where she went off on me, was recorded. The review she left for my company was documented. Conciliation court will be my next step. Apologies go along way, especially for mistakes. Her type of malicious behavior goes along way as well, all the way to small claims court. read more
