You only get 15 minutes so be prepared. Look your best. You can get your photo there (2) copies and you get to keep one Take your confirmation email with your appointment code. Print passport application on line in advance and fill in using black ink Bring all necessary documents Original and copy of Drivers license or previous passport, original and copies of birth certificate They keep birth certificate to mail but you will get it back If you were previously married bring all marriage certificate, divorce decrees and Proof of name change and make copies They examine all your papers for accuracy $160 for regular size passport and passport ID card $50 for application processing Bring personal checks or money order payable to US Dept. Of State You can but a money order there for passport You can use debit or credit for the $50 fee If no rush about 11 weeks. He carefully and efficiently assisted me in shipping out all my packages while I browsed the cards for a birthday card. He was also sensitive to my being in a hurry to get to work even though I was the one taking a long time to decide. Just really love great customer service and feel it needs ti be rewarded! You can get passports here. The workers are always friendly here. But their competence levels depends on who you are working with. There are some workers you hope you don't get and some workers you hope you do get (if you go there on a regular basis, you'll figure who they are). My piece of advice to you is to do your own (online) research of how much your item should cost for postage before you show up there. I've often had to fight (correct) the worker to get the correct price. I've had a Media Mail package, that was CLEARLY marked, that was to cost $2.86 that they tried to charge me over $7 for. So 5 stars on friendliness. But some workers get a 5 star rating, some a 1 star. But it shouldn't be me having to tell them what the correct postage is, so I'm giving them 3 Star Average rating. read more

Came in to mail postcards, cards and a card with an ornament inside that made it so I wasn't sure of the cost after researching online. The line wasn't too long and I was enjoying the human interactions between the post officers and the people in front of me, which were friendly, asking about kids, what new year's was like, etc, which left me smiling and feeling encouraged. I came up and he said thanks for your patience, which was weird, since it's not a problem to wait in line. I had the ones I was sure of stamped and handed it over, he said it would be 35 cents for postcards and I commented excitedly about having fun stamps for them. I also had a Christmas card I wasn't sure of was nearly $4.00. I had a bit of sticker shock, so asked curiously about the cost. I didn't mention that at home I'd weighed it and it came in at 1.3 oz, which would be 70 cents. Instead of simply explaining the rules and regulations, Ger proceeded to get really condescending and say "Look ma'am, I'm just trying to help you, it's because it's a package, and if you send it as a card, you're just going to have to make a trip back here and send it again as a package, so you'll have to come back here again. Hey John, look, what do you think?" John supported him with a patronizing smile. And he stared at me with the envelope and said "See? It doesn't bend." I responded, "Of course it doesn't bend, it's a pewter Christmas ornament of a cat because the person I'm sending it to had to put our cat down." He then said, "That's fine, do you want to send it? I can send it cheap, but you'll have to come back when it comes back." Wow. Assumptions. Yes, money is tight, but I was just curious about what I was paying for and wanted to be treated like a human being. It would have been easy to just say, cards need to bend, packages don't and cost more, would you still like to send it? I used to adore going to this post office. There were a few folks there that had been really kind and friendly to me and my family over the years with sending things internationally and explaining things well. I just moved back to help my parents and now I think I'll wait for different post officers or go to a different post office. Life's hard enough. read more

I love this post office. even if the line is long it does go quickly and smoothly. the staff is very friendly and helpful.

We came in to the store, and until the moment we left we were treated with great kindness and respect. The staff was joking, and gave us suggestions which made the process easier. They moved our appointment up and saved us a lot of time. It was a wonderful experience, and the team was amazing.
