I am not sure what my thought process was that made me go back to this business when the last time they could not open my PDF file from a thumb drive. They said it was done wrong. I went over to the other side of the Quarry to Office Depot and they opened my drive and printed my files. Outside the store I could hear music blasting and figured it was someone's car stereo, no it was inside the store. Blaring hard core vile lyrics, so loud a customer was telling the lone employee what's needed and having to shout. As I've seen before the employee was having trouble with equipment. I don't mind music of all types in the proper setting, but I never heard a business blast the speakers like this. What really got me was the explicit vile lyrics. This would be a total embarrassment for those entering with children. "..daddy what's that lady singing about"? Out the door to the quiet Depot and my job completed. read more

Worst service ever. I ordered an international package, and for security reasons, I paid to be delivered to this store. Guess what? Even though it was paid, the owner thought it would be good to charge a $10 handling fee, which involves picking it up from the delivery stack, placing it in a rack, then asking for my ID and scanning the package. I've only been here a few times, but the employees have been very helpful and pleasant. I went in the early summer COVID-19 times and was glad to see all employees wearing masks (correctly!) and some sporting Black Lives Matter items. I was happy to see that at minimum, one supervisor at this specific UPS location approved employees expressing the Black Lives Matter movement. Not what I was expecting when walking into a giant corporation's store, but it is Northeast Minneapolis... Spring/summer 2020 aside, I never know what the heck I'm doing when I walk into a UPS store. The kind souls who have had to complete my shipping transactions have never made me feel like an idiot and have accomplished my shipping goals efficiently. I will say that I'm pretty patient, so that may help my case when the 3 people in front of me are being rude about waiting in line. That may make it easier to be nice to me. Anyway, I literally walked into the store today, clueless, with an open box of online shopping returns and a bar code on my phone, and the employee had me in and out in 3 minutes. It's COVID times. This is a review on their printing services. First off, it looks like most of the unsatisfied reviews are from years ago. Fortunately, this location has been under new management since, and I've had many great experiences here. Things I get printed: custom event flyers, menus, shipping labels, biz cards, and more. How I get them printed: I simply email them at store3408@theupsstore.com with my specifications and artwork attached. They often reply to confirm my specs and offer choices (like paper weight). They always let me know when they're ready for pickup. When I get them printed: They print most color copies same day. They'll even cut them too if you need it, for a few extra bucks. Some special bulk orders are printed offsite though (ex: hundreds of heavy cardstock business cards). Overall, I've enjoyed working with this location's print team! They're prompt, responsive, and helpful. There was just one mixup once, but it was rectified in time. read more

Horrible, mean-spirited workers here. Misquoted me the price on a box. $21.00. When she realized my shipping was already paid, she told me it was $9.40. But acted like she was giving me a deal. I stood there dumbfounded when she remarked, "You know, when you complain, it's like a chain reaction...." oh, okay, so the shaming is free today but don't say anything when you are overcharged. reviews an hour ago 12-2-2020. I asked to send two padded envelopes, both under 2oz , size 8"x 10" . By US Post Office mail. I was charged 8.00 each. I asked the clerk why it was so much , when I mailed the very same size envelope before and was charged 3.00. She said it was because they were packages. They were not packages , they were envelopes. The receipt even said, two first class letters. I feel I was ripped off , and perhaps because I am a senior citizen. Why would it cost 8.00 for one padded envelope under 2oz ? Receipt did not say US post office and said two first class letters, 16.00. I was way over charged. Don't go there. They charge what they want, Not what the actual cost should be. read more

Probably the only negative review I'll ever leave. The person closing the shop tonight said that they can't send my package because it includes alcohol. (Why can't a shipping service ship closed bottles?! I do not know or understand) He sent me to a facility nearby that was CLOSED. Like, not "whoops it closed 10 minutes ago", but closed for the entire day. I called over and over to try and find out where I could go as the shipping day closes out only to be put on hold before being able to say a word over and over. It was faster to drive back before I could speak to anyone on the phone. I know this because I did it. When I got back, I let him know that I've now been driving all over for an hour with no signs of being able to get my package shipped. His response was "I hope you like driving". I would give them zero if I could, and that's saying a lot from me since I very very rarely give one star reviews. UPS stores have a policy that if you choose online printing they have until the next day at 1pm to print your order. Which is fine, normally. Sometimes, however, when you work from home and your printer craps out and you need something printed for a lunch meeting the same day you need a little extra customer service. Other locations, including: Edina, Downtown Mpls, and St Louis Park have all been able to print off my papers within an hour of me calling ahead to see if they might be able to get the job done earlier. They all were very obliging and helpful. The New Brighton location was not the same. Very disappointed and I can say honestly I will never give them another dollar. I called ahead to see if they could print out less than 40 pages in black and white. The worker, Maria, told me that "if they are not busy they can get the job done as soon as possible" I told her that I needed them by today and said if they couldn't do it I would go elsewhere. She said that she "thought" it wouldn't be a problem I showed up to pick the copies up several hours later and they hadn't started. She said they "got busy" after I called and that they were waiting for new employees to come in a couple hours later so they could "learn the process for online orders." I asked since I was there if they could just do it then since it would only take a couple minutes. She asked the manager, Tom, who came out and told me that they wanted the new employees to do it so they WOULDN"T print them for me at that time. Completely unacceptable. They kept repeating "we have until tomorrow at 1pm, technically" over and over and I just about lost it. I asked them to cancel my order and they said they "didn't know how" and that I would have to go online. Basically I have never received worse customer service and I can't believe they still have jobs. Pissed, still, a week later. Yikes. read more

I came here to leave an angry review and found that I should have read the other angry reviews before shipping my package here while out of town. I won't tire you with my whole story other than to say that the woman working the counter was completely unhelpful, disinterested, and rude. It took over 30 minutes to pick up a package I had placed on hold there even though I had my photo ID, tracking number, and email from UPS confirming that I had made the request and showing proof that it was mine. I even had to call UPS and put them on speaker phone to convince her to give me my package. There are plenty other places to ship to and from. Avoid this place like the plague!!!! read more

My deliveries had been going to other addresses. This is clearly an oversight but now I paid for items I never received.

I COMPLETELY agree with Rachael, and Zoey, and Alice.... I would give this business a ZERO if possible. And what makes this review process even more vindicating is that I had issues with same employee, Maria. Heck yeah I'll name names, MARIA was TERRIBLE. I was the only customer upon entering the store and stood at the counter for nearly 5 minutes before even being acknowledged, while Maria was standing a few feet away doing something that was apparently so important she couldn't even say hello or ask me to hold on. My pleasant greeting wasn't reciprocated at all, in fact was met with clear disdain from an obviously cantankerous woman. She acted like it was the biggest hassle in the world to even be speaking with me. I next explained that I needed to ship an original piece of artwork that was commissioned as a Christmas gift for someone. This whole exchange was the same, more rudeness and disrespect as she scoffed at each of my questions about shipping options. Finally after enduring this woman's insufferable attitude I left the store feeling pleased that my artwork would make it to the recipient before Christmas. But the story doesn't end here.... I received a call from the recipient a week later informing me that the piece was beautiful, except for the small fact that the package was destroyed and the illustration inside (which was approximately 12 hours worth of work) was folded in half. I took redundant caution in securing the package when I dropped it at this store. The illustration had a foam core backing, and the package included a double-reinforced foam core insert and a bubble-wrapped document mailer on the exterior. The package was also clearly marked fragile. Along with these steps I also declared the contents of the package as "original artwork" and insured the package at its market value. Long story short, I find it inconceivable that this package could have been damaged to such an extent without either gross negligence OR the more likely option, intentional destruction. End result: my client never got their piece, I lost the full value of the commission, and I couldn't file a claim because the recipient didn't keep all of the packaging materials I used. My recommendation: DO NOT use this store, put them out of business!!! read more

This location is a total waste of space. Employees are rude and disrespectful. I dropped my Dyson off for shipment on 2/19/2020 and has not even been sent to location and the date today is 2/24/2020 so I call to find out what the problem is and the girl Brissa who answered the phone told me to hang on and so she could get someone else to help me kept me on hold for over 10 minutes and finally got back on and said she's new and doesn't know how to help me?! This is ridiculous and I will be calling first thing Monday to corporate to report my issues. Will never go back to this location. read more

I am glad to report that this UPS is under new management and the new owners/ employees are wonderful. I was greeted warmly and Sandeep is a gem. The previous employees were unhelpful and once turned me away for trying to send packages addressed to a PO Box. Sandeep went beyond the call of duty to help me resolve an issue and sent another package addressed to a PO box without any issues! I have since come back for fast, friendly and efficient service and wont be going anywhere else for my shipping and poster needs. read more

This location is absolutely useless. I used this store to send my passport and my package appeared to have been lost because there was absolutely NO information attached to the tracking number. I was frantic because I needed my passport very soon and getting an expedited replacement is very expensive. The employees were not well informed about UPS processes and claimed "not to work for UPS" (just because it's a franchise operation, doesn't mean you don't work for UPS). The owner also would NOT help. He literally hid in the back of the store while we complained and had his employees lie to us about whether or not he was there. This is absolutely the WORST customer service I have ever received. I will never send a package through this store again and would caution others not to either. Maria and the owner, whose name I don't know since he hid and when confronted had nothing to say, were incredibly rude and unhelpful. As another poster said, I would also give this location 0 stars if I could. I have had a mailbox at this store for the past year. I've put up with their personality-less and absolutely rude employees (especially the woman who works there most days) because I needed a mailbox because I travel for work, and also receive a lot of packages. I've never had a problem picking up packages that have been there for longer than the 2 days they allow because they always told me, "call when you are out of town and can't pick them up right away and it will not be a problem." And it never has been. Except for today, when I went to pick up packages that have been there for a week and was charged $125. Despite the fact that I called and told one of the guys I'd be gone for a few days, and despite that I also told Maria (the woman who was "helping me") the same thing when she called on Monday to tell me I had packages. I told her I was out of town but would pick them up this weekend. She said no problem. So here I am, trying to pick up my packages, and being told it's going to cost me $125. Seriously, this is how you treat loyal customers? No wonder your ratings are terrible- you treat people terribly. Don't tell a customer that one thing is fine and then when they go to pick up their packages, try to charge them $125. If she had just said "you need to get them today or I will charge you," I would've had my cat sitter (who has the key to my mailbox, for that exact reason) go pick up the packages. I'll be canceling my mailbox and signing up for one with another location, even though it's further away. read more

Great new owners! I am so glad the store is under new management. The team is fun, friendly, and easy to work with. I have witnessed Harpreet and Sandy go out of their way to help their customers many times and are always willing to help me with all of my small business needs. For all of us that witnessed the old owners I think we are glad to see a complete 180 in the stores service! This spot costs more than others for sending or receiving packages. Try the Roseville location or the actual UPS hub up on Broadway ave. Another option is the Fed Ex located in the Office Max in between Rainbow and Target. DO NOT use this location to send or receive packages. Other UPS store locations have fewer fees. This particular site elects to add on storage fees of $5.00 per package per day if you do not pick up your package within 2 business days. That does not sound too bad until you realize that they consider Saturday a business day and also realize that they close every night between 4 and 7 so by the time you are off work it is too late to pick up your packages. I switched to the UPS store location of Fairview Ave and HWY 36 in Roseville because they do not have these extra fees and they are actually appreciative of your business rather than making you feel like your packages are a major inconvenience. If you do not send or receive packages and just need a mailbox it will probably be OK for you. Also in case you are not aware all UPS stores and Fed Ex office locations charge more than UPS dot com or an actual UPS hub. They have hefty processing fees so that they can earn their cut. read more

I went to this ups store with 6 clothing items that were all bought from the same company that I wanted to return. I explained that I needed to buy a package to put all 6 items in. The guy working there came back and quoted me a price of $180 to ship the package. The items needing to be shipped were all very small and in total they were about as long as a sheet of paper and 4 inches thick. I said that this price seems completely unreasonable and he then went on to say that the price was so high due to the location I was shipping it to (which was Georgia). I asked him why the price was so high and he was unable/unwilling to provide me an actual answer to this question. I obviously didn't ship my package through this store and drove down the road to the USPS store and was able to ship the items for a total cost of $12. The person helping me there said that it does not cost more to ship a package to this location and was confused why I had been told that by UPS. Go to USPS for all your shipping needs as this UPS store is completely incompetent. read more

I always used this location to notarize documents, for $1.00 per signature. Went yesterday to get 6 pages notarized, and there was a new clerk I have not seen before. She told me it's $40 for my 6 pages (which she turned into 10 for absolutely no reason, printing extra sheets for her own convenience). When I objected, she said ok, you can pay $20. Fishy and ridiculous, I will not be going back to this location. read more

Not being a 'regular' Yelp user, it's surprizing to see the number of negative reviews. I have been a customer at this UPS Store since the first owners and have not been disappointed. Printing and other business requests have been done to satisfaction and customer support has been good in my experience over the years. The store remodel looks great. On rare occasion I may get mail that belongs to another box but that is easily remedied with handing it to them for right delivery; no one is absolutely perfect and it happens once in a while with house-delivered snail mail, too. read more

My review is based solely on my customer service experience. I went to UPS to send in my phone for a warranty exchange. I had to do this a couple times in the past for a broken charging port and broken screen. When I went, the employee said they had a fee to send the phone. I hadn't needed to pay a fee before, so I asked about the change. She just told me "I will package your phone for five dollars. That is our policy." I asked again what the policy was and when it changed because I hadn't had a fee for previous phones. She abruptly said, "Well does your phone have a battery?" To which I replied, "Yes." And she said, "That's why." So I just smile and say, "Okay! Sounds good! I'm still curious about when the policy changed though." She just looked at me and repeated that she could package my phone for five dollars. I stated that that was fine, that I wasn't trying to be rude, that I was just curious about when the policy changed and what the new policy was for future reference. As I paid the fee, she found time to say that they have the right to refuse customers who have improper packaging. Maybe I'm just getting a little older, but.. Throughout our discourse, Maria did not once smile or attempt to find out about the policy/change. Her emotions regarding my inquiry ranged from bored to offended. Meanwhile, I looked up the policy online in less than a minute when I got back to work. Her total disrespect and sarcastic tone turned my stomach into knots. Clearly, this employee needs some kind of a disciplinary review. I'll probably end up using UPS again, but will drive the extra distance to go elsewhere. read more
