**MUST READ** This…read moreis my heart felt and favorable review of my experience with Melissa, the "Rock Star" Store Manager at Fort Benning UPS, better described as the "Ft. Benning UPS Guardian Angel". Melissa's customer service is more like "customer ministry" because Melissa stops at nothing to take special care of her customers, going the extra 1000 miles, exceeding expectations, problem solving, and advocating for others! The United Parcel Service is a better company, and VERY fortunate to have Melissa represent their Ft. Benning location! BACK STORY: Yesterday, Melissa received a phone call from a VERY distraught and emotionally charged (out of state) customer who had been left out to dry by the local USPS at Ft. Benning. That customer was me. My Army Soldier's Express Mail, containing priceless letters from home, family pictures, and carefully selected scriptures/prayers, that were NEVER delivered to my soldier! The tracking # indicated that my mail was just sitting on location at Ft. Benning USPS for days and scheduled to be "returned to sender". I must have called the back-office USPS number 50+ times over the course of 3-4 days, but NO ONE WOULD ANSWER! That's when I had an epiphany to call a neighboring UPS store to inquire about what I should do? Can I just say, from the moment the Store Manager, Melissa answered the phone, I felt relief and comfort? I knew that I had just landed on safe ground. Within two short minutes, Melissa was on the phone with an employee at the local USPS location, explaining the details of the problem, providing my tracking number, and REFUSING to accept "I don't know" or "I can't find it" or ANY OTHER EXCUSE that the employee postured over the phone (I was on speaker phone and heard him)! Melissa told the USPS employee "Look, this is the mother of a soldier, this mail is very important to her, she spent several hours writing scriptures and letters to him, please help!" Melissa was PROFESSIONAL and DIRECT with the USPS employee. After she exited the USPS phone call, Melissa gathered my contact information, assured me that she was going to call me back with an update from the USPS employee. No eloquent words are sufficient enough to describe how utterly MOVED that I was and still am, because of Melissa's heart and determination to stand up for me! I was not even her UPS customer (BUT I AM NOW!). She did not have to do any of the above, but she did - and because of Melissa's fierce advocacy and compassion, she brought 100% resolve to this incredibly frustrating mess. My Sweet UPS Guardian Angel lit a forest fire under Ft. Benning' USPS A$$!!! AND NOW, MY SOLDIER WILL BE RECEIVING HIS LETTERS/SCRIPTURES/PICTURES FROM HOME!!!!!!! As if this was not enough, IT GETS EVEN BETTER! My Angel Melissa helped me print another "letter from home" (written the night before), along with beautiful color pictures and my soldier's favorite song lyrics. All from the comfort of my home in WA, I emailed the UPS store the documents and Melissa printed everything to perfection putting extra love and care into this mailing too (sending me pictures of the final order and making sure it was flawless before shipping it out). That last letter to my soldier was the best one yet, for which I trust will bring him much comfort and love from home. Melissa if you are reading this, I just want to say, "Thank you again, from the bottom of my Army Mother's heart!" You really have a way of turning storms into sunshine! The world needs more people like you! May you be immeasurably blessed by those who surround you, as you are such a blessing to others! W/love, Lisah

But she was very short and smart to me and my husband. Like I said, maybe she just woke on the wrong side of the bed. She effectively helped us, but my husband and I both left thinking, "Wow. She's just not a nice lady."

While I cannot speak to the quality of the mailing services at Pak Mail, I can say the customer…read moreservice is abysmal. I stopped in to get fingerprinted for an upcoming internship. The process was confusing, as I'd never had my whole hand fingerprinted before, and the woman who helped me was impatient, rude, and honestly downright mean. I looked for a name tag but she wasn't wearing one - all I know is that she had spiky, short blonde hair and brown eyes. Another lady who worked there who had a heavy accent first directed me around the corner to start the fingerprinting process. I entered through a door that it seemed that she was pointing at, and the blonde woman rounded on me and yelled at me that I couldn't be in there with her. My bad. After more confusion (and a nice older woman saying that she didn't understand the lady's instructions, either), I ultimately realized that the fingerprinting machine was in a very small alcove of the main room. I simply hadn't noticed it before. I made my way over there and waited for help. Naturally, my blonde friend came to "help" me. The whole process was just awful. She repeatedly slammed my fingers into the machine, was short with me when the machine didn't properly scan a particular finger, and was overall heinous. She raised her voice at me multiple times, almost yelling, and for NO reason. "Quit FIGHTING me with your hand," and "You're not LISTENING to me," she said to me while I was doing my best to follow her instructions. I was meek and passive the whole time. I thought about telling her that it was inappropriate to talk to me that way with that tone, but I was scared she'd get angrier and the process would be worse. Once I figured out being mad was pointless, I wound up just feeling hurt and at the verge of crying because of how stupid she made me feel. After a time she left me to scan my fingers on my own. She and the lady with the accent were arguing in the back about her (blonde lady's) productivity. She shouted at the lady with the accent that she had no problem carrying her own weight. She came back out to me to check on my progress and launched into a tirade about how her coworker's son was supposed to replace her at 1 (it was around 1:45) and that he was so irresponsible and how her coworker shouldn't have the audacity to tell her she wasn't being productive enough. Maybe her replacement being late was why she was so cranky, but I found her discussion with me about it to be incredibly unprofessional. On top of being unprofessional, again, this woman was mean-spirited and venomous to me for absolutely no reason at all. I will do everything in my power from here on out to avoid going to Pak Mail for ANY reason.

It is what it is. It's a convenient place to drop off packages that don't fit in USPS/UPS/FedEx…read moredrop boxes. They offer some packaging if you are in need of that. I'd rate level of service just a smidge below a typical UPS/FedEx store which benefit from more resources and offer more packaging supplies. As far as I'm concerned, Pakmail serves its purpose.
