Grumpy old man at the front counter should find a job he enjoys. We all have bad days but he just didn't want to help. I had a large package and after I shleped it inside the store the man basically turned me away. I had a barcode for Kohl's return, and he told me it cannot be used in his store. I asked if they had an air printer and he pointed to a computer on the wall and said-it doesn't work. He was very short and only spoke with No answers. I asked if there was any way I can email the label to him so he could print it from his computer, I have done that in the past at other UPS stores and they just charged me a small fee for their material and time. He also declined such help. So I took my package to Kohl's just 2 miles down the road where I was greeted by a friendly employee and received 25% coupon to shop. Being talked down to and slow read the Amazon instructions seam to be this stores policy. The problem solving of the team at this branch is explaining how wrong you are and "you should call Amazon" While I'm still in the store the employees continue with their passive aggressive comments about the situation. This is the worst UPS store in the country as far as customer service and communication. Maybe this is the best this town can do. A transaction that takes 5min ended up taking an hour. I believe this store is under new management/ownership. In the past it was a miserable experience to come to this store. Personnel who worked at the front counter were not only unfriendly but plain rude. Talking down to you and making you feel ignorant. Not the case any more. UPS Store #0306 in Mt. Kisco, NY is a miserable place that cheats its customers. I went there on a Thursday and purchased a label to ship a package. The package was returned to my doorstep on Saturday. No biggie, I thought. These things happen. Since I had the receipt, I figured the store would simply reprint the label and remail the package for me. I had already paid over $15 to mail the package. I brought the package back to the store with the receipt [and you could see on the package where the label fell off], and the store wanted to charge me again to ship the package for which I had already paid. Despite my receipt and clear evidence that the label had fallen off, they refused to do an even exchange and remail the package. The manager refused to speak with me and the salesperson was inflexible, unhelpful, and rude. THEY DID NOT WANT TO HELP AT ALL. I strongly advise against going to this store. I went to store #0539 in Thornwood, NY to remail the packages. While they are a different store and could not do an even exchange, they assured me that policy is that if I had the above-mentioned experience, they would have simply reprinted a label and remailed the package. I strongly RECOMMEND going to Thornwood instead. read more

I visited this pathetic excuse for a UPS store on 2/13/21 to mail a single letter. The old man at the counter was angry and not just rude as Renata R points out. He was also unnecessarily obnoxious. He keeps a filthy store as well. The counter had dirt on it, the floor was filthy. Worst of all the the old man at the counter doesn't even know how to wear a mask in the time of covid. I made the mistake of not reading the reviews of this store before coming here. There are lots of UPS stores in the area. Most are run by friendly proprietors with clean habits. And I was treated unbelievably disrespectfully over the phone. I'm hoping that I will actually receive my package as I have very little faith in their competency. I live in California so was somewhat apprehensive about having a large, antique painting (with glass!) shipped from upstate New York cross-country. Firoz at UPS Store 0306 did an outstanding job! The piece was incredibly well wrapped with extra layers of protection and survived the long trip to San Francisco without a scratch! His prices were certainly fair. May I add that from the beginning he was highly organized, and most helpful in keeping me up-to-date with frequent updates as to the status of the package (which arrived several days earlier than expected!). I rarely write reviews or recommend workers to friends and family. However, my experience yesterday and today with this store was so positive that I decided to spend some time reporting it. I also see now that my input might be useful to whoever has read some of the negative comments by other reviewers, which I frankly do not understand. I recently had to arrange to have a framed print that I had purchased at the Benefit Shop online auction packaged and shipped to Pennsylvania. I therefore contacted all 4 of the services that the auction house lists on its website. The first responses and quotes I received were all unacceptable. It seemed as if I would have to pay as much as $170 to ship the single item, which in truth, would ship through the USPS for about $20. No one, except the owner of this UPS Store, was willing to work with me to find a less costly way to get the print packed and shipped. What a surprise, therefore, when F. said he would do his best to remove the print from the frame and ship it for about $45. His first quote had been far less than the other businesses, including another UPS Store. But he was entirely willing to find an even better option. I am very thankful that he was willing to listen to me patiently and find a way to make my purchase not a total disaster. Had he simply stuck with his original quote, I would have accepted it as the best option among the four services, and he would certainly done better financially. But his generous attentiveness to my dilemma produced a much better result. I wanted to send him a gratuity, but he refused. I strongly recommend this store and hope that the auction house will place it at the top of their list of recommended services. Th next time I need to ship something from the region again, I will only be making one phone call. I hope that F. will be the person answering. Finally, I do not personally know the store owner. I had the worst customer experience with a gray haired, apparently owner of this store. Unbelievable, would not scan my pre paid label, said it was not "printed well" which was utter nonsense. I then requested he generate a new label from the ups barcode on my phone which ups touts as a feature if you can't print a label, and ups stores do millions of time a day. He refused. Said he can't do it. Lie # 2 Nicely indicated that this was not true and he got belligerent and angry. I then nicely asked him, as an alternative to print my pdf copy of the label. He claimed with a straight face he "did not have printer" (really in 2019?). Asked him how that could be, and that he had to have printers for both customers and his office. So would he please accept an email of the pdf for him to print. Again he said his business "did not have a printer". As a lark, knowing this was ridiculous, I looked up at the fax machine behind the register and asked for his fax number to fax the pdf label to him since he did not have a printer. While standing in front of the fax machine he stated" he did not have a fax machine" LOL. I pointed it out to him and he actually looked me in the eye and said with a straight face "oh, ill do but he would have to charge me $2 bucks for the fax." This went from unhelpful to absurd. When I told him he was really operating against obvious UPS protocols and prior experiences at ups stores, and was being generally unhelpful he got really angry. Now apparent I was in the twilight zone, I went full "Seinfeld at the dry cleaner asked him to: to just admit he did not want to help. HE THAN LOST IT, started screaming and threatened to call the police. I was in shock. I couldn't believe it and told him so. He started to dial the police so I finally just left as it was not worth it... Finally have add, he never gave me the receipts for the two other packages he took...hope I don't have an issue with the stores.... If not clear, avoid this store like the plague. Wow..what a Sat. morning experience. Clear this guy was unhappy taking pre paid labels.... This probably is the first complaint I've ever made online but really feel compelled to alert customers here.... read more

Went in to drop off an amazon return, and an older grey haired clerk behind the counter told me to drop it at the front, which looked like disorganized chaos. I politely told him I would like receipt. He looked at me and said "it would be a half hour, can't you see I'm helping customers". I'm sorry - am I not a customer? There were two other ladies. I can't take 2 seconds away from their 20ish boxes for a receipt? So rude. If I didn't want to lug my gigantic area rug back to my car I would have walked out. Another clerk came out from the back - and the first clerk pointed at me, like I was garbage. What terrible miserable human being let alone someone representing a company. What a an awful experience. Been using this store, since it was called MAIL BOXES , ETC. (better than Yorktown Heights, NY Mail Boxes , etc.) Then, I avoided it for a while (I didn't care for old husband/wife mgt. from Brooklyn-she was very calm, stoic, hardly smiled; had to force answers to common questions out of her, i.e. "How much does it cost to rent a box?) They were supp-osed to reimburse safety deposit I put down on mailbox, when they left & didn't. She just stated obvious, "Tell everyone you no longer have this box #." DUH! So, now w/ new owner (Phil) , I don't have much issue w/ him, Phish, & Woody never gave me an issue AND I love Phoebe, the store poodle!! Phil lets me run a tab & when I reach $1 in Xeroxes, I pay it. VERY fair, local, convenient. read more

Absolutely atrocious service. Older man (white, grey hair, glasses) made myself and other customers wait over 15 minutes with no acknowledgement. When he finally appeared, extremely rude. I asked him to print label from barcode and tape my box. In the past this has been done for me at UPS stores no problem. However this man basically threw the label at me then made me pay $6 for tape after telling me I could just use it. When I complained to him and said this is poor customer service, he told me I am not welcome in his shop and to take my business elsewhere in the future because he doesn't want to see me again. I was just at the ups store. The man working there is very rude. I didn't have my package sealed with tape. The man gave me the option of buying tape. When I said forget it since I had no money, he offered me a roll of tape. He didn't give me scissors to cut tape and watched me struggle for a while. Then I gave up and was leaving, he then offered me a pen to cut tape. After I tapes up my package he commented that I was putting too much tape on. The man was unfriendly, unhelpful, and made me feel like an idiot. I would never go back to this store. read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I brought 2 golf clubs to be sent from Mt. Kisco to Florida. I worked with the owner of the store. He quoted me a shipping price of almost $43 which I felt was high to begin with, but since I didn't have the correct sized box need for the job I went there. He told me the clubs would be wrapped in bubble and protected. I received the box today. He just threw the clubs in a box with absolutely no protection at all leaving them clang & bang against each other for the trip. When I called to question this he asked what did I want, and I asked him he felt some sort of refund was due. His answer was "NO". I paid cash so I am unable to try and fight this out.....but I can let it be known that this is how they treat customers. Pay for a service and don't get it! AVOID THIS PLACE. Again I had to send a VERY large amount of things from my family home in Chappaqua, NY to my & my husband's home here in San Francisco, CA. Everything that I had sent from their store there in Mt. Kisco to here in San Francisco arrived in perfect condition. Everything was packed perfectly! The owner and his employee's took great care in packing every single thing!
